Brother’s Keeper III: Luke –
Luke O’Reilly has seen it all, done it all, and lived through it all. When a career ending injury forces him to retire from the military, he struggles to adapt. Luke was born to be a soldier, not conform to the nine-to-five mediocrity of everyday life. He needs to protect and serve like he needs his next breath.
Angry, with a bitter taste of civilian life, he finds himself searching for purpose in dangerous operatives through the family business that is Brother’s Keeper Security. Working alongside his brothers, protecting them and those they love, gives him satisfaction. But he still wants more – needs more – and struggles to find it. That is, until the one thing he didn’t think he was searching for, lands on his doorstep. Literally.
Daisy King lives life on her own terms, just the way she likes it. A free spirit, until she finds herself in the protective clutches of Brother’s Keeper, one frustrating brother in particular. As the key witness to a high-profile murder, the stakes turn dangerous and take an unpredictable twist leaving her once simple life an existence she’ll never reclaim.
In a true tug of war between good and evil, Luke fights to overcome his past, to protect his future. Can Luke and Daisy save each other and find a happily ever after? Or, does murder and mayhem prevail, robbing Daisy of her freedom and sentencing Luke to a life alone?

Loved it..Luke is Book #3 in the Brothers Keeper Series. Not necessary to read in order.
I loved this book, and in each book before Ms. St. Klaire has suspense, laugh out loud moments, passion between her characters. This had it and much more. Hang onto to your seats with Luke.
He is definitely one of my favorites..
Luke didn’t know what he was up against when he walked into his apartment. The women he now knew as Daisy was sitting in his apartment. She had witnessed something, and now needed protection. She needed to stay hidden. Well that’s just what he and his brothers would do. That’s what they did. What he didn’t expect was the feelings she brought out in him. He was not a feeling kind of guy. He did things in his past, and present which were necessary. He kept locked up. It wasn’t until Daisy he wanted to change.
Daisy didn’t know what was going on. Well on one hand yes. But staying with Luke was not supposed to feel like this. She couldn’t get close to him. Once all this was over she would go back to her life. Other then her Grandmother this was the first time she felt like part of a family. Luke’s Brothers, and
family were great to her..
Highly recommend this series.
If despite all he had done, there was a way for them to have a forever because he was beginning to want one.
Luke. This was the brother I was most looking forward to. He seemed the broodiest, the one with the most depth, and the one that had the deepest wounds. That’s always the character that draws me in the most, and as ever, I wasn’t disappointed. Luke wanted nothing to do with a “happily ever after,” or love in any form except his family, so when he saw goodness surrounding him, he wasn’t sure what to do with it.
I had a flip flop relationship with Daisy. On one hand, I loved that she was feisty and ALWAYS had a witty comeback or something to say. “I’ve been kidnapped and held hostage for my own safety. How does that even make sense? Prisoners have rights. They get so many hours of daylight, social time, if they behave. This is too much.” She almost always seemed to stand up for herself, but there were several moments I was disappointed and annoyed with her. As strong as she seemed to be, there were many moments that her strength didn’t translate past witty banter, and it was then I was disappointed. I was annoyed when she didn’t listen and blatantly put herself into danger, thereby putting others into danger when she needed to be saved — all because she seemed to be throwing a little tantrum or not getting her way. That said, she wasn’t a terrible character and I definitely didn’t hate her: she just frustrated me.
The story was intriguing. There were twists and turns, near death experiences, super geeky technology moments for Liam, BA moments for all the men, and some HILARIOUS brotherly teasing and advice given. I love how these stories somehow twist together romance, all the ins and outs of family, and some sort of devilish intrigue (generally involving a death) to be sorted out. I think this is my favorite installment of the Brother’s series and I cannot WAIT for more stories! (There better be more stories, woman!)
Another awesome book in this series! Luke has been the quiet grunting alpha. But he most certainly meets his match with Daisy! She is perfect for him. Gives him crap just because she can. Luke is definitely out of his comfort zone when he realizes she is the one! But both of them deserve their HEA. Lots of great scenes that i can’t spoil. Best one is the drunk brothers in the tattoo parlor. The characters in this series have definitely captured my attention and I can’t wait for more of them! The author adds so much suspense and plot twist, you just don’t know what is coming next.
Y’all! This book! Laughs – check, Tears – check, Super-hot sexy time – check check check. There is nothing missing from this story. Luke and Daisy are such a perfect fit. And watching this BadA$$ man fall in love with Daisy and learn to love and accept himself was a real treat. This family and friends series is a step into a world that works hard, plays harder and loves deep. Can ‘t wait for more!
Ms. St. Klaire definitely out did herself with this Brother’s Keeper book. It’s the story of Like and Daisy and their emotional, thrilling and comical journey. This is a definite must read. If you love romance, suspense, and a little comedy then this is your book.
I fell in love with Ms. St. Klaire’s novels with her Mackenzie Ridge series. With Luke, the third installment in her new series, Brother’s Keeper, she’s proven why she is still one of my favorite authors. The story of Luke and Daisy is full of action packed thrills and heart stopping drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page! As if that weren’t enough the beautiful love story unfolding as well gave me all the FEELS! If you are looking for a new series to read look no further and make sure you pick up her first two books of the series as well. You will be so happy you did! Can’t wait for more from this author!!!!!!
This book starts out fast with action! The book has twists and turns in the plot. Just when you THINK you have it figured out, it changes. Luke is Book 3 in the Brother’s Keeper Series.
Daisy witnesses a crime she will never forget. She is able to escape and hope no one knows where she went. Until they grab her in the parking lot. Daisy will never see her dog or her Gran again. She is going to be killed by a big scary man. Luke O’Reilly is the biggest of the O’Reilly brothers. The brothers work at Brothers Keeper Security, a private security firm. Luke was discharged from the military due to a career ending injury. Luke is trying to fit in to civilian life. Luke now is charged with protecting Daisy and Gibson, her dog from the people out to get her.
This is a great story with many twists and turns with a little love thrown in to keep it balanced.
The third book in the O’Reilly brothers series did not disappoint. No idea how Stephanie St. Klaire does it but each book is equally good if not better than the last.
This time we meet the “broken” brother Luke, twin of Liam, and former soldier. Luke feels he is broken because of not knowing how to fit back in to civilian life after having been a soldier. He doesn’t want to let new people into his life, he finds it hard enough loving his family and worrying about losing them because of what he does. What he does is the hard part for his brother’s company, Brothers Keeper. Luke meets Daisy after she inadvertently witnesses the murder of a US Senator at a dinner. Daisy is whisked away and sent to be guarded by the O’Reilly’s. Luke is designated to watch over her and from the minute he meets her he knows he is in trouble. She is exactly what he needed but he thinks he can’t have or doesn’t deserve. Daisy falls for Luke too when they are basically stuck together for quite a long time while Daisy is being guarded.
My favorite part of the story was when the brothers are together commiserating at a bar while getting drunk. Luke finally opens up to his brother’s about what he is feeling and why he isn’t worthy of having anything good in his life. Liam finally starts to get through to him that he isn’t a bad guy but a good guy that has to do bad things to protect a lot of people. Not everyone can do that job and he is able to step up and do the hard stuff. All the brothers continue drinking before they end up in a tattoo parlor. This part really balanced out the heavy talk in the bar. I was laughing at this part and really gave a different look into the brothers relationship with each other.
I can’t choose a favorite between these brothers so far and I can’t wait for Dace and Wylie’s stories.
Fast paced and great character development. Even jaded, love can soften the tuffest man.
Brother’s Keepers are my favorite guys!!! Love this series! Luke and Daisy’s story was suspense filled and so sexy!! Can’t wait for Dace’s story!!
Ms. St. Klaire does it again, another emotional, fun and intriguing story.Luke is the broody twin who feels his job is to protect the family, he was a military lifer until an injury ended his career. He feels unworthy of love due to all the blood on his hands from his service and mow he does whatever he needs to to protect his family. In comes Daisy, witness to a Senator’s murder, taken from the scene by a US Attorney and brought to Brothers Keeper for safekeeping until they find out who is behind the murder.Daisy is all alone, except for her Gran who also just be hidden for safety and her dog Gibson. This is a can’t put down page turner full of laughs, tears, intrigue, missing people, redemption and love.
Intrigue, humor, a little suspense and some stimulating romance are always present in this author’s books which make them an automatic one-click for me. She pens hot, brooding, protective and gruff alpha males with equally strong in their own right, independent and supportive female counterparts.
Daisy and Luke’s story was action packed from page one and kept me completely engrossed. Just when I thought I knew how the plotline was going to pan out, I was quickly surprised and thrown for a loop.
The dashes of humor mixed into the suspense always melds the story together perfectly.
As always, we get to see old friends and family from the author’s previous books which is a bonus. I also love how we get a quick little hint of what’s yet to come of the secondary characters.
This book has it all suspense, comedy, romance, friendship, angst and heaps of unexpected events. The O’Reilly brothers are all big strong protective alpha males, until they meet that special lady and then they show their soft side. Luke believes he is damaged beyond redemption, and doesn’t think he deserves to find love, because of this he comes across as cold and indifferent. Daisy is in the wrong place at the wrong time and finds herself left with Luke for safe keeping. What should be just another job for Luke turns his world upside down when he realises that Daisy is the perfect woman for him. Luke surprisingly shows he has a romantic side. They have to fight to find the bad guys and even when they think they are safe the hits keep coming. Luke has a lot of soul searching to do but with the help of his brothers he manages to realise that he is not as bad or as broken as he thought. A bit of brotherly bonding at the tattoo shop adds some humour to this story. The Brother’s Keeper series is full of action and happy endings and I look forward to the next book.
