Angel, sold into prostitution as a child, survives by keeping her hatred for men alive. Then she meets Michael Hosea who loves her unconditionally. Day by day, he defies Angel’s every bitter expectation until, despite her resistance, her heart begins to thaw. But with her unexpected softening come overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. So Angel runs…
The absolute in happily ever after … a story about Christ’s love for his children. No matter what we do, he will always always always take us back.
Redeeming love
Amazing – I’ve bought multiple copies & passed it along. Everyone that I know who has read this book agrees it is outstanding!
I have read this twice and it touches me differently everytime.
Excellent book. Francine Rivers is one of the best Christian writers. Love her work. You must read this book. I loved it so much.
Very electric and inspirational
Such an incredible love story inspired by the Biblical story of Hosea. I could hardly put it down and have loaned my book to so many people… I can’t even keep up with where it is now! I have bought numerous copies as gifts and give this book the highest of recommendations. So well written… spellbinding.
One of my favorite, read-multiple-times, touched my heart & spirit & mind books. Wonderful word pictures of forgiveness & grace, commitment & love. A must read.
It proves that God can spoke through a person…..it all reveals Gods love and admiration towards his people.
I give this book away every chance I get. Everyone needs to read this story.
I couldn’t put this book down. Such a beautiful picture of God’s love for his people and his grace and forgiveness time and time again.
My favourite Francine Rivers book. Beautiful reminder of how much God loves us.
I love, love, love all of Francine Rivers’ books and this one is certainly great!
The Biblical story of Hosea told during the Gold Rush. It seems hard to believe that God loves us so. This book will keep sharing God’s love for many years.
No one builds more realistic characters like Francine Rivers! Excellent read!
I’m writing this 11 years after I read it for the first time. I was in college when I read this book and it changed my life. The story so relatable, though set a century and a half before my time, and so descriptive of the Heart of God. I’ve read it 5 or 6 more times since then and had 3 copies to loan out for a solid 5 years.
All her books are just wonderful. I love that they are clean reading, entertaining and spiritual .
A new look at the story of Hosea and Gomer from the Bible with the view point of both characters. In the biblical account only the husbands thoughts are shared with the reader. That makes Gomer seem a bit like a villain. In Redeeming Love the unfaithful wife also has a voice and we can learn a lot about our ability to forgive and to be forgiven from this rendition of the ancient narrative. Love is not always beautiful and sweet. This is a story about struggling to love someone and asking God all the while , “Am I doing the right thing?”
I read this a while ago but it will stick in my mind forever. I love all the books I have read by this author.
One of my favorites by Francine Rivers
Loved this book! It’s a modern day telling of the story of Gomer and Hosea in the Bible.
