A heartwarming second chance, small town romance perfect for fans of Taryn Quinn, Jami Albright, and Justine Davis.
I had a plan for my life. One that would never involve marriage, or kids, or being stuck in the one-horse Texas town I grew up in.I saw how it worked out for my parents, and I wanted no part of their heartbreak.
So I ran.
My career was the only commitment I had time for. The … ran.
My career was the only commitment I had time for. The only one I was ever willing to make. But life didn’t care about my plan.
I didn’t expect to go home again, but here I am.
I never, ever planned on seeing Tucker Monroe again, but here he is.
His sexy smile and country charm were the reason I left.
But with every smirk this single dad gives me, I’m finding it hard to remember why.
All that’s on my mind is Tucker, but I can’t give in to the feelings that never quite went away. I have to remember what my ambitions are.
But he’s too tempting. And just as dangerous for me as he ever was…
There are four stand-alone books in the Billingsley series:

Redeeming Lottie is a delightfully sweet story with amazingly written character that are given a second chance. Feeling that they thought were gone are brought back to the surface, and now they are needed to be sorted.
Lottie is a strong women that takes nothing from no one, Tucker is a sweet man whose heart was broken. Together their journey is anything but smooth as they find their HEA.

An entertaining read with some wonderful characters. It’s the first time I’ve read anything from this author, and she did a brilliant job of holding my attention and making me smile as I read this book. It’s a fantastic second-chance romance.

Read in one sitting, you will enjoy this second chance romance
A fantastic well written second chance romance that was entertainingand emotional. This engaging smooth flowing storyline included loss, betrayal, stubboeness, secrets, bullying, regrets, and lots of love. The characters were realistic, interesting and had lots of hot chemistry. I enjoyed their banter and was on the edge of my seat during their heartfelt journey towards a HEA then the storyline twists as others interfere. I honestly and voluntarily recommend and am reviewing this ARC.

Lottie has been jet setting around the world for her career and yet hasnt returned home in 12 years. After her most recent relationship ending and her mothers passing she went home….and her past caught up with her.
Tucker lost the women he loved and has tried to get over her for 12 years but nothing and no one had his heart but her. But she was gone….until the farm brought them in contact.
I really loved this reunion story. Young love and loss and then finally coming home. Like a Christmas miracle in a hallmark story.
This was like blending hallmark, insecurities, a rough childhood and harlequin all in one. Steamy, sweet and redeeming.
Cannot wait to see how Hannah and Billy fair.

4 1/2 Stars!!
Upbeat and Quirky writing style that had me smiling at the POVs provided. The author introduces Lottie as she whimsically considers David’s proposal. She knows she will turn him down as her heart was never involved in their relationship. The only man who has ever been real to her is Tucker, and she left him and her hometown heartbroken twelve long years ago.
My heart broke for Tucker and Lottie in this second chance romance. Seems like everyone was against their relationship and got in the way again and again. Stupid mistakes were made and it was painful to read at times. They finally seem to be making their way back together when she finds out that the fiancée that abandoned Tucker ten months ago was the woman who harassed, tortured, and bullied Lottie all through school. The fact that Tucker’s father calls Abby back to get between Tucker and Lottie, is also a crushing betrayal for Tucker. I really empathized with Lottie when she is mistreated by Abby again when she returns to claim Tucker.
This couple just couldn’t catch any breaks.
Their everlasting love for each other is very palpable, as the author is able to pull their past and present emotions for the reader to experience. A very well written, poignant story of lovers reunited.

A very well written attention grabbing story. It is emotional, exciting, fun, sweet, suspenseful and so much more. No spoilers. Read the blurb. She wants him and something else too. A hot strong male and a strong female. I really enjoyed this story. I was given the review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
This book had it all and it was absolutely a pleasure to be able to read it. The best way to describe it is that once upon a time I was just like the woman in this book and had alot of hard choices to make just like her. In this one we have to just believe that life has a way of telling us what to do and what not to do. Just listen to your heart and it will lead you in the right direction. This is a must read ad I happily give it 5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
This is the first book I have read by Melissa Ellen and I was not disappointed. This is a cute but angst filled second chance romance. I enjoyed it.
Such a fun, emotional and entertaining second chance romance.
Lottie left Tucker behind in Billingsley years ago and broke his heart, and he never knew why. She had her reasons, but oh, my, the heartbreak that she left behind and their journey back together was really enjoyable to read.
Lottie and Tucker both are such warm hearted, caring and engaging characters. It was a great listen, too, with narration by Erin Cocker and Ski, two narrators with whom I’m fairly unfamiliar. They did the work justice and kept it entertaining.
Great
When you have the chance to go back home you take it. Lottie left Billingsley 12 years earlier but she never fixed the issues. Now her mom has died and she has to decide about the farm. But the love of her life is there also Tucker. Can they fix and heal the past.
Wow… Abby brings new meaning to ‘mean girl’ … and Lotti sure had a lot to overcome. I really enjoyed this story and several of the characters. I’d like to read more of their stories in future books. Along about 50% it got into lots of sex description so I started skimming past them to get back to the story.
Lottie and Tucker were not only best friends and high school sweethearts, but Tuck was her champion and he was there to support her through all the ups and downs of her life. Lottie has seen firsthand the destruction that love can cause so after school she left Tuck and their hometown to pursue her dreams in Seattle.
Twelve years later Lottie is back in her hometown to settle her mother’s estate and from the first time that they see each other again the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever. Tuck was devastated when she left town over a decade ago and that is a pain he doesn’t want to repeat but when she needs help with her farm he can’t walk away.
This is a second chance at love story between two people who have always belonged together. Tuck never wavered in his belief that she was his destiny and he gave her the time and space she needed to realize it as well. I thought that the narrators did a great job with both the humor and emotion of the story.
A small town and a second chance with the added bonus of a sexy Southern drawl. Redeeming Lottie is a pretty quick listen, and it’s got a good balance of sweet and sexy. I loved Tucker almost immediately, but Lottie was a little harder to warm up to. She wants nothing to do with a commitment, but she does a pretty poor job of proving it, and it results in her coming off as kind of wishy-washy at first. Nevertheless, I did warm up to her, and it didn’t take long before I was firmly in camp Tucker and Lottie, rooting for their happy ever after.
This is the beginning of a series, and Billingsley may be a small town, but it’s loaded with interesting and engaging characters that I definitely want more of. I love a small-town romance, so this series is right up my alley, and I’ll be interested to see who’s next.
I had the pleasure of listening to this one, and Erin Coker and Ski do an excellent job with the narration. Honestly, I don’t think Melissa Ellen could’ve chosen any better for Tucker and Lottie. They breathe life into these characters and both voices add that little something extra that I always hope for in an audiobook.
Audio Review
Melissa Ellen is a new author to me but as I love small town romance I was excited when I got the chance to listen to Redeeming Lottie, this seconded chance romance was everything I expected and so much more, I was engrossed and captivated from the minute I put on my headphones and there was no switching of until I had heard the final words. Erin Coker and Ski did a great job of bringing this story and the characters to life and I will certainly be looking at other works they have narrated as well as other books written by Ms Ellen.
Lottie left Tucker and her home town 12 years ago but she unexpectedly finds herself back at her family home when she decides it’s time for the property to be sold. Lottie wasn’t meant to spend a lot of time there she was meant to be in and out but her unresolved issues with Tucker keep her from walking away, will the timing be right this time around or will the past and the life choices they have both made be to difficult to overcome….
This book ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I swooned and I shed a tear as I fell in love with Ms Ellen’s writing, the main characters and the residents of this small town. Loved everything about this listen and I’m looking forward to reading or listening to more from this very talented author.
I listened to the audio version of Redeeming Lottie. It was a quick, fun, second chance romance. The narrators did a good job of bringing the small-town story to life. This was my first Melissa Ellen book. I enjoyed the characters. They made me a laugh and sometimes they frustrated the heck out of me. If you’re looking for a sweet story, this is it.
