What if you were the key to an ancient prophecy that would begin to heal your lands, but fulfilling your destiny meant you had to turn your back on everything you’d been taught to believe in?

Book 1 of the Fairelle series. This one is about RedLynn and she’s a werewolf hunter, or is she? Girls are being taken and Red decides it’s up to her to go find them and kill the werewolves. Things don’t go as planned and….. well I guess you better read to learn the rest.
I would say this is a good read for older young adult and up. So don’t let the little ones get ahold of it, it’s a little too much for them.
This book was so good, I can’t wait to get started on the next one!
Loved how the story progressed and the twists to the classic you would normally expect. Adrian is conflicted and afraid of loss after watching what happens to his parents. But he craves Red. They are meant to be. Mates and a part of the prophecy no less. It was hard to watch how stubborn she was. But she was fed lies for so long by her people who she thought could be trusted. I was happy things came together in the end. Looking forward to Sages book.
Red the Were Hunter is an interesting twist on a classic fairytale. Red is part of the Sisterhood, sworn to protect their village against weres. The wolves are sworn to protect the humans. The vampires are in it for themselves. Red is a somewhat strong heroine, but a bit whishy-washy. Adrain is the Alpha wolf that is destined to mate with Red. Their relationship is okay, but could use a little more chemistry. Some of it came of feeling a little flat. Overall, it’s a nice, quick, easy read that doesn’t end in a cliffhanger although does continue in a series. If you like that sort of twist on a classic fairytale then I would recommend it.
Not your typical Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf retelling with plenty of steam, action, and surprises to keep you hooked!
My Thoughts – 4 out of 5 Unicorns – I really liked it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review, but I am buying it as soon as I get paid 🙂
The cover is subdued, but intriguing all at the same time.
This is the first book I’ve read by Rebekah, and I’m definitely going to be reading more in the future especially in this series that I’m now hooked on 🙂 Rebekah builds a wonderful world full of intrigue, prophesies, and in need of healing. I love the undercurrent of the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood! And I see the same undercurrent is probably in book 2 as well 🙂
When I first started reading the book, I was disconnected. I’m not sure if it was just getting to know the new author’s style or building the new world. This happens for me sometimes, but I’m definitely quite taken with this series and plan to read more. Red is this amazingly strong woman, but she has blinders on so to speak. She is definitely stubborn and so much so I was yelling at her in my mind while I was reading several times. Adrian is sexy and just as stubborn but haunted by his family’s past misdeeds. By the end, I was totally on Red and Adrian’s side, and I hope I will see more of them in the series because I become attached to my characters and like to see them in the rest of the series even though I know they will not be the focus of the book 🙂 I’m going to have to get my hands on book 2 very soon 🙂
I recommend this book to paranormal fans of shifters and vampires and to anyone who loves to see new stories evolve from very old fairytales 🙂
This is an exciting twist on little red riding hood with a kickass heroine and a strong werewolf prince. This is the first of several stories regarding Fairelle, a world filled with fascinating creatures, strong women, werewolves, and vampires and more intriguing characters to come in future stories. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, and the story kept my interest well into the night. Rebekah has created an intriguing world, and I look forward to reading the next books in the series.
I absolutely loved this story. Redlynn had my heart from the beginning. Adrian was determined not to mate, but fate doesn’t care. You will find betrayal, vampires, wolves and magic here. I read this book in one afternoon. I just couldn’t wait to find out what was next.
OMG how much I loved this book, sat with it and read it in less than two hours. This new world of Fairelle is filled with magic and I need to find out everything about the nine prophesies!! The first one has been fulfilled in the arms of a couple I loved, Adrian and Red!! They fought it but destiny would not be denied… Cant wait to read the rest of the stories
Really enjoyed this book and love Red and Adrian story!! The plot line definitely leads into more books and pulls you in and makes you want to keep reading!!
A beginning of a new series…nine prophecies were foretold about the land of Fairelle. The first one to be fulfilled is with the werewolves. Redlynn, or Red lives in a village where the Sisterhood lives to protect the villagers from the wolves. At present, five females have been taken by the wolves and one left dead. Red is out for vengeance, but the lead Sister Lilith forbade her to enter the woods or be banished. She does not listen and heads out. She knows the Sisterhood is not like it used to be. They used to go hunting each night killing off werewolves but they do not do that anymore and their numbers are dwindling.
Once she leaves she discovers the wolves. She manages to kill and injure two of them. She is severely injured as well. She awakens to find herself at a castle with a man named Aiden. He is taken by her beauty. They resist the attraction for one another. They all know who she is but she does not know who they are. She has the birthmark foretold about in the prophecy. When she discovers his secret what will she do? Will he lose her? What of the missing women? It cannot be the wolves so who is it? What is the prophecy and will it be fulfilled? Please come along for a new series that will hold and keep your attention. It is action packed and a fast-paced read~ Rebekah Ganiere has outdone herself once again! I am on to the next book in the series for I want to discover what each curse is and how it affects everyone!
I loved this book. The author never fails to keep the action fast paced and the story enthralling. Red is a very strong female lead and I enjoy watching her accept herself and learn how to love. Adrian overcomes his hang ups with trust and also learns to love. Both characters are engaging and identifiable. I can’t wait to see more about Dax, Sage and a few other in latter books. I truly enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for the next.
Love this Adaption – Many Levels Here!!
Redlyn lives in a village where she does not fit it. She belongs to the Sisterhood which used to hunt the Were, but now merely acts as village guard. Since Lilith began leader she does not allow them to go into the woods. Young girls are being stolen from the village and Red decides to break the rules and find them.
When Red is attacked by Were’s she awakens to find herself in Wolvenglen castle, well-cared for, and fitting in better than she ever did in her village. She is eager to continue her mission, but must heal.
Adrian is the strongest Were, but will only become King if he mates – which he has no intention of doing. Red has him rethinking that decision as she bears the mark of a prophecy which can save his pack.
We know vampires have the girls, and we suspect there is a traitor in the pack, and perhaps in the village. We know Adrian is a wolf which Red wants to kill – even as she develops feelings for the man. Delightfully complex, with twists and turns leaving the reader compelled to make it to “the end”. Great read!
Extremely well written storylines and characters!!!
