From the author of the Jack Ryan series comes an electrifying #1 New York Times bestseller—a standalone military thriller that envisions World War 3…A chillingly authentic vision of modern war, Red Storm Rising is as powerful as it is ambitious. Using the latest advancements in military technology, the world’s superpowers battle on land, sea, and air for ultimate global control. It is a story … ultimate global control. It is a story you will never forget. Hard-hitting. Suspenseful. And frighteningly real.

Read this book in my teens when we were driving down to France with the family, and I devoured it. Still remember it to this day – awesome book.
Being a Cold War era novel it’s pretty much dates itself, but it is a great book. Tom Clancy was the best at this kind of story. Sorely missed.
One of his best.
Great account of how world war 3 might have started during the Cold War.
Hard to get into.. Typical Tom Clancy.
A great story, almost as good as Hunt for the Red October.
could not put down
Still my favorite Clancy Book
One of Clancy’s best. Very realistic and really engaging to read.
I think this is Clancy’s best book.
I stopped reading after about 200 pages. Book is too long and language does not make it a page turner like later Clancey books.
Not Clancey’s best, but good reading never the less.
Great re-read of early Clancey. Forgotten details and characters brought to life.
One of the first Tom Clancy’s. Still relevant and exciting. It’s fun to read it again after several decades. A lot of world and technology changes make this book very interesting
I read this book when it originally came out but wanted to be transported back into what seemed to be a simpler world – USA vs USSR and we won.Now it seems like a quaint way of seeing the world. Still a great read by a master
My first Tom Clancy book. Great characters that make you want to read more about them.
This was a very good read, however I think that because there was a great deal of detail used to bring the reader into the realm of the military and war, that it was done at the expense of the development of the characters and the relationships between them.
I find many Clancy’s book to be page Turner’s. They have history and situations that are too realistic.
A realistic novel written at the end of the Cold War. The action keeps you in the edge of your seat.
Totally a 10 ! Hands down it’s Clancy’s best ever yet. So real it’s scary. This book combines nail biting combat action with the drama and suspense of a 3rd World War. A page burner with tons of unique characters striving to survive, so put a pot of coffee on cause you’ll be pulling an all-nighter.
Read this book n enjoy
Cheers
