They call me The Mad Russian for a reason.—Viktor Demoskev, VEGAS CRUSH My reputation as an Enforcer was earned one game at a time. Fighting on the ice for my team is something I take very seriously because I came to the USA to play hockey, not be a celebrity.Unfortunately, this logic has my public image taking a beating—not that I care very much how others think of me.Except for her.Scarlett.A … beating—not that I care very much how others think of me.
Except for her.
Scarlett.
A woman as gorgeous, and fiery, and sexy, as that long red hair of hers. Which would look even more stunning spread out on my sheets with my hands tangled in it all night long while naked of course.
It is unfortunate that she also works for the team. In Public Relations… So yeah, the no-fraternization policy is an issue, but hardly my main concern. The biggest hurdle is Scarlett thinking I am part of a gambling ring for the Russian Mafia.
Crazy, right?
I can deal with setting her straight about her ridiculous suspicions, but cracking through that hard shell she has built around her broken heart? This is my real challenge.
But oh how I love a good fight. Winning is everything to me.
Especially when the prize is the Las Vegas beauty I named the Red Rocket…
**RED ROCKET is a sexy STANDALONE sports romance about a Russian hockey enforcer with a bad reputation and the feisty redhead from the PR department who just might be the one person who can help him shine up his tarnished image. ‘Public Relations’ is about to take on a whole new meaning!

Another fantastic addition to this extremely hot and steamy hockey world. I absolutely loved both Viktor and Scarlett.
I love this series!!!
This is book three in the Vegas Crush series, and I am truly enjoying these books.
For book three we have Scarlet’s and Viktor’s story and the chemistry between the two is amazing. There story is well written, funny and amazing.

Red Rocket by Brit DeMille, who is Raine Miller’s alter ego, is a scrumptious addition to the Vegas Crush Hockey Series. I thoroughly enjoyed Viktor and Scarlett’s story. It is funny, emergent, and oh, so very steamy.
Both of these characters have chosen to barricade their hearts from further pain. Life has caused them to want to hibernate from the ugly feelings broken hearts bring. This plan works well for both of them until they meet each other.
The chemistry that takes place when Viktor and Scarlett meet is off the charts. Their reaction to each other is combustive and creates heat of such intensity that the only result can be a full fledged fire.
I loved the interaction between these two characters. I hurt with them and cheered for them. The growth they showed as individuals and as a couple is heartwarming.
Raine Miller has made the sport of hockey in the City of Sin a purely delightful event experience . The wait for the fourth installment of this series is filled with nothing but anticipation.
Hockey romances are not my favorite but I enjoy Raine Miller’s work so I decided to read this book. It wasn’t my favorite. Scarlett works in public relations for a hockey team. She is drawn to Viktor, a Russian player, known as “The Enforcer” for his brutal play. Scarlett can’t help being attracted to Viktor but she’s wary of him because’s she’s had a bad experience with the Russian mob. Her former (dead) fiance was a gambler and his debts to the Russian mob led to Scarlett being roughed up.
I found Scarlett to be really immature and annoying. She was completely paranoid about Viktor being in the Russian mob and her constant accusations got tiring. Then there was some storyline about her father hiding from the mob in Russia of all places but honestly I was skimming by then so I wasn’t following the details too carefully at that point.
A can not miss SEXY and STEAMY read!

Holy Hotness! Viktor and Scarlett heat up Vegas in the latest Crush series novel. Viktor is “The Mad Russian” for a reason. He is an enforcer, he doesn’t smile, doesn’t seem approachable and definitely does NOT appear to be serious relationship material. Scarlett has baggage and lots of it, but she doesn’t want another relationship that is nothing but casual and a night or two. What she comes to realize is there is much more beneath the hard surface that is Viktor Demoskev. I found this couple to be so endearing and lovable. I know this seems difficult to believe since they both have have hardened themselves from those around them, but together, this couple brings out the best in one another. The number of times I said “Oh, how sweet,” out loud to myself throughout this relationship is more than two hands could hold. I seriously want to bring Viktor to life to hug him and tell him his secret of having this romantic and soft center is safe with me! Scarlett, I just want to force her out of her comfort zone and help her realize how amazing and wonderful she is! This story has a few bumps along the way, but the adventure to a HEA for this couple has every aspect any reader could ever want! Sweet, funny, sexy and down right HOT!!!!

Another great story in this series. I am in love with these hot Russian hockey players. This is Viktor The Mad Russian and Scarlett’s story. Viktor’s only goal an focus is hockey until he literally knocks Scarlett down and something inside him stirs. Scarlett is a busy woman working two jobs and always looking over her shoulder from the Russian mob that her deceased fiance and her dad got involved with. The chemistry between these two are hot. Viktor goes from being a brute to bring such a teddy bear in front of Scarlett. This was a fun, entertaining and hot story. Can’t wait for more.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
Viktor may be the Mad Russian Enforcer on the ice but Scarlett thaws him just enough to make them sizzle as a couple. Red Rocket is a hockey romance that will take you to interesting places. Red Rocket has unique and interesting characters, heartwarming moments and a great story that make the pages fly by.
I love this Vegas Crush series and couldn’t wait for Red Rocket! Viktor and Scarlet’s story is my favorite so far and Viktor is definitely my favorite Vegas Crush player. Their journey will captivate you from page one…and they aren’t lacking in chemistry.
Even though this is a standalone, I would recommend reading the other two as they are somewhat interconnected.
I’m on a hockey romance kick and Raine Miller must have KNOWN IT!

I absolutely loved every single thing about Red Rocket, especially Viktor “Mad Russian” Demoshev and Scarlett “Red Rocket” Woods!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars. What a wonderfully sweet, sexy, and all around fun story about two people who didn’t realize they were both looking for that special someone who would put them first always. I was completely engrossed in this one from the moment I opened the book. I could not get enough of the witty banter between Scarlett and Viktor. These two had so much chemistry it was jumping off the pages. If you want to read a book about two people who are beyond cute in their courting of each other, and who will make you smile, and root for them to get to that happily ever after, Red Rocket is the book for you. Hockey romances and Raine Miller writing as Brit DeMille go hand in hand.
Red Rocket is the third book in the Vegas Crush series by Raine Miller writing as Brit DeMille, and this one focuses on Viktor, who is a defensive hockey player with a reputation for being extremely abrasive and unfriendly off and on the field, and Scarlett, who works for the Crush and who we first met in Sin Shot. Viktor’s entire life has been focused on hockey and nothing else, but in waltzes Scarlett needing to take a picture of the Crush players during their break in the Championship Cup game, and Viktor’s whole world gets turned upside. However, it is not just Viktor’s world that gets turned upside down, but Scarlett’s too. Scarlett has had it rough, from the loss of her fiance and father to not being able to trust anyone but herself, so, she is afraid to truly trust and give herself over to Viktor…and the fact that he may just be in the Russian mafia is another issue for her. Yeah, you will have to read the book to find out about that one. And it is from that moment that Viktor and Scarlett begin their journey towards happily ever after. Ahh….these two are absolutely perfect together and I enjoyed every moment of their story. Oh, and yes, all of your favorite characters from this series have starring roles in this one too. Let me just say, both Holly and Scarlett are very lucky to call Pam their friend. Every girl needs a friend like Pam. Another excellent read by Raine Miller writing as Brit DeMille.
I love a good sports romance and RED ROCKET is a sexy STANDALONE about a Russian hockey player with a bad reputation! clickity click!

Raine Miller – she can take any trope and master it. This is what she has done with Red Rocket, hands down. For me, this book was about personal growth, and two people bringing out the best qualities in one another. Viktor, although not right off the bat, is one of the most endearing male leads. The partial language barrier and lost-in-translation moments are charming and swoon-worthy. Scarlett is Viktor’s perfect missing piece of the puzzle. They both share in their life struggles and coming together proves to be difficult and times; Scarlett’s stubbornness not helping their cause.
The unfolding of their journey is intense, and one of the sexiest stories I’ve read this year. Their chemistry is off the charts and undeniable. Viktor’s passion for Scarlett is unlike any other! It fueled my need to read faster, and find out what else he had in store for Scarlett.
This was my first read in this Vegas Crush series, and I absolutely LOVED it. I look forward to reading the rest in the series.
Viktor is a member of the Las Vegas Crush and has has a history of aggressiveness on the hockey ice. Scarlet works for the Crush’s social media group and they have a no fraternization rule with the team (although others have broken this rule). They are attracted to each other but both have some things they are working. On from their past. This was a very enjoyable steamy book watching Viktor and Scarlet find their way to each other. Definitely worth the read.
I was waiting for another book by this amazing and so talented author, Scarlett and Viktor story couldn’t have been better, I love hockey and sport romance books, but the Vegas Crush series keeps climbing my list of best in this trope. This book is part of the series but can be read as a standalone. Fire and Ice can be together after all and this book is one you need to start reading soon!
Red Rocket is book three in the Vegas Crush series and can be read as a standalone, but totally think it should be from the start, simply because the stories before this were just as amazing as this, But I have to say Viktor and Scarlett’s story would have to be my favorite of the series so far.
Another fantastic read by Raine Miller aka Brit DeMille. I am loving Vegas Crush series so far.
It’s only last year that I started to really get into sports romance, and this series so far has been one of my favorites. There is just something about a hot alpha male jocks that make me go weak at the knees!
I’m not diving into deep with this, because I think it needs to be experienced rather than me write a play by play…
At first, in precious books, I thought Viktor was a bit of a douche. He was cocky and arrogant in a way, a little self-center, but this book and the author prove me wrong. My first impression of him was wrong… Kind of. He’s still pretty cocky and they don’t call him The Mad Russian for no reason. But I could see the growth in him from being a side character to the main character and it was huge. There was so much more to this man and so much more to his story. He’s protective, he is caring and at first, his life was all about hockey, and everything and anything relating to it. But when Scarlett comes into the picture.
Scarlett is a little feisty thing that has no issue being honest, she’s strong-headed, smart, and a no bulls*it kind of person. She has never relied on others, she’s been by herself for so long that the only person she could rely on was herself but deep down she craves more, she wants that stability she wants substance in life, she wants to feel protected and content and happy with someone, and Viktor is the perfect man for her. She embraces his alpha side, his rougher side, and his protective side and I think she finds comfort in it.
These two were perfect one another and I found myself completely captivated by them. Them as characters and their love story was very well developed and flowed so perfectly that I was found myself lost in the plot for hours. As the book progressed and got deeper into the plot, the more I saw changes in both characters and the more the two of them fell in place and formed a love that was not just sweet but damn, it was steamy and hot!
This was well written, it grabbed my attention from page one and completely had me spellbound until the last page of the book. I cannot fault anything other than I want more of these two.
All in all, it was heartfelt, steamy as hell, addictive and fun. I cannot recommend this enough, and the same is said about the previous books in the series.
5 Stars!
Viktor has been working his butt off at his new team the Vegas Crush. Major focus was to play amazing hockey for his team, all changes when he meets Scarlett. She takes his breath away, Thrown together for a week at the wedding of his teammate Viktor uses it to his advantage to get to know Scarlett. Viktor and Scarlett have history that effects their relationship, it helps to move the story along.
DeMille/Miller gives you all the feels with emotional depth and world building. The characters have flaws that make them more realistic and lovable. I can’t wait for more books from the Vegas Crush series.

Loved it! #ViktorFever
I love sports stories, and I loved Red Rocket. I enjoyed the first 2 books in the Vegas Crush series, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on #3, because I was curious about Viktor. We met him in the previous books, and he always got the “bad guy” part, he was the “Mad Russian” after all, so I was quite keen on getting to know him better. As for Scarlett, I also felt some kind of negative vibe from her so far. Red Rocket changed all that. Viktor is not the usual jock. In the beginning he is loner, he is brooding, never smiles and he seems annoyed by everything, and his only focus is hockey. He kind of reminded me of Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the 1988 movie Red Heat. lol. (God I feel old, knowing about that movie) But then came beautiful Scarlett, and he turned into this big, dirty talking, Russian, swoony teddy bear. The thing love does… I loved to read his POV, he made me chuckle. Also, it was great to see how he changed, because he was so different from the usual book Hero, and Raine, aka Brit did a good job when she wrote Viktor’s parts. She totally turned into Viktor. Bonus points, for Holly and Evan, Pam and Georg. It was fun seeing them again. And now we have a third couple, and I am in love with them. So… If you need something fun, light, swoony and s*xy read this book. You are going to love Red Rocket.
