I really enjoyed this series, though for me it felt like one of those series that has great build up then rushes the ending. Half way through the final novel I thought there’s no way the story can be completed in this book, but sure enough it is.
This book was a great twist on the divide between races. In this book, it is not the color of someone’s skin that makes them discriminated against and deemed a low life. It is the color of the blood pulsing beneath their skin. There are people with red blood (the “scum”) and the people with silver blood (the pure, powerful and strong). The …
Great read!
THE END THO
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard I listened to on Audiobook narrated by Amanda Dolan. I enjoyed the story and the narrator. They pulled me in to the story and I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This book was absolutely fantastic, as are the rest of the series. I recommend them to everyone who loves fantasy.
I read this book about two years ago and I still remember it. Wonderful book, I will have to reread it soon!
This is an absolutely wonderful book….I couldn’t put it down….great characters you can find yourself attached too….this also isn’t your typical happy ending kind of book….I absolutely adore this book….my 13 year old daughter is also engrossed completely by Mare Barrow the main heroin and it’s easy to see why!!!
This book has twists and turns and thought out so well. Just can’t stop reading!!!!
Beautifully written, superb characters, engaging story. Aveyard nailed this one.
The shock of discovering something inside of you that you never knew you had… that’s the story in a nutshell. No pun intended.
I loved the satirical dialogue and plot twists.
This is literally just the Hunger Games. Reluctant female hero + male best friend + surprising love interest + poor + some unknown skill that keeps her alive and gives her prestige… This book actually made me angry, it was so similar.
The entire series is a delight – it is one plot twist after the other. Just when you think Aveyard can’t outdo herself, she does.
A real page-turner and excellent world building. The story was intriguing and far from cliche or predictable.
Amazing!! Victoria Aveyard really brings a new world to life in this page-turning book! I’m the first installment of the Red Queen series, Aveyard shows us a world in which racism has taken from in, what I would call, bloodcism. I could not put this book down.
Unique take on dystopian with magical elements.
Have you read this? What about that ending, huh?
When I was reading this book I kept thinking about Divergent, Game of Thrones and Hunger Games. It is a bit of a watered down version of all three combined. Even though the plot twists are predictable and you can spot them a mile away, it’s still an very good book. The author keeps you interested and is well written, but drops too many hints at …
I am a huge fan of this series and give the whole set 5 stars!
