I love the Red Planet of Tjass series so I was really excited to start this new connected series. I was not disappointed, I loved it! It can definitely be read independently but if you have read the others this will answer many questions.
I really enjoyed learning about how the crash of the generational ship happened. Rosalind mentions it almost as a side note in the other series so I had questions.
I loved both Riley and Angota. It will be fun to read about the other survivors and their happily ever afters. I am hoping that this group will someday get to meet up with the other group of survivors.
For some reason bookbub’s site won’t let me leave the stars – definitely 5 stars!
Her life is boring but it all changes when they are attacked by pirates. They she up being pushed off course and crash landing on a planet which he lives on. Now he wants one thing, her. What will she do? Can she escape him? Will she fall for him? See what happens

Dragon aliens
Actual rating of 2 1/2 stars. This might be a good series and I might come back to it later.
I just couldn’t like Riley. I don’t have a problem with the fact that she is painfully shy and avoids people and public interactions. I did have a problem with absolutely no growth. She bored me.
So cool to get to know how the series began! I thought it would be confusing to go back to the beginning of a story that I’ve already read most of the pieces to, but instead, it brought a deeper understanding of where they came from. I really liked Riley’s character, she was secluded and maybe her job and her solo housing contributed to her agoraphobia, it certainly didn’t help alleviate her symptoms. I got confused by the ship invaders and the plot that the Eye was able to throw together, like how did he know how to contact the evil dude on the ship and then who was the general fighting? It’s going to make me go back and reread the whole series, lol, like that would be a harsh endeavor. I’m looking forward to putting all the pieces together!
Red Planet Dragons of Tajss is Book 0 in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series by Miranda Martin. This prequel is a fast paced standalone adventure that is well written (as all books in this series) with well developed characters. It provides needed information of how the generation ship ended up on Tajss. The relationship that developed between Riley and Angota during their radio communications is very strong and endearing. There is lots of action, drama, suspense, danger, twists and turns in this thrill ride of an adventure. A must read which will answer many of the questions generated by other books in the series. Besides obtaining a copy on Amazon, I received a free copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary review.
Great introduction to the series …..gives you some of the background for the rest of the series. Best to read this book first you won’t be disappointed.

They met through communications and start a connection that is forged in strength. This book gives great background for the series. The plot, the universe of aliens (good/bad), and the cast of characters being set up is wonderful. Cannot wait to read the series.

This book is the prequel to the fascinating series Red Planet Dragons of Tajss. It has been a fantastic action-packed journey following the human survivors of a spaceship crash landing on their new “home”, the planet Tajss. Throughout the 16 books we never really get the backstory to the crash, other than it was space pirates but nothing else. This prequel reveals the sinister forces behind the not-so-accidental crash and how even from galaxies away, true mates always find a way. Written in the sizzling yet gentle loving way that is the Miranda Martin touch, I completely loved the original Tajss/human couple. I do hope we hear from Riley and Angota. Theirs was a sweet loving story.
This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

“An Incredible Alien Romance series”
You will love the exciting storylines! The characters have fantastic personalities and are very unique. Riley is a communication officer on a colony ship. While scanning off ship singals. Riley encounters a signal from a sexy Alien named Angota.
Angota is a sexy Zmaj. His people are Dragon shifters. From the planet Tajss. Right from the beginning his Dragon feels drawn to Riley. He understands this means she is his mate!
A plot by his planets leader , and the leader of the colony ship. Brings Riley to his planet. But, can Angota keep her safe?
You will love this super stunning, exciting, thrilling, suspenseful, and steamy hot Alien Romance series! This is a five star plus series!
I never thought we needed a prequel, until I read it. So amazing to read about how it all started with humans arriving on Tjass. Riley and Angota are great characters. Great story!

Prequel that explains how it started. Like all the previous stories of the Red Planet, it is awesome! Every story that Miranda Martin writes, either by herself or with others, is ALWAYS great! She writes rich worlds for us to explore, complex aliens, both good and bad, and strong women to complement the males that fall for them. This is one of those books that is like a vacation for your mind without leaving home.
Riley lives on a spaceship that contains humans from Earth that are going to populate a new planet generations away. The ship is designed so that most of the thousands on board don’t even realize it is a spaceship. Being that Riley is agoraphobic, working in the communications center is great. There is just barely room for one person. They are to scan all the frequencies. As they are in the vicinity of Tajss, she ends up chatting it up with Angota. They have similar jobs scanning frequencies for others out in space. They know they shouldn’t chat, but they do, along with getting to know each other, they learn a bit of the other’s language and a bit of romance.
Angota is in communications, just like Riley, and is in the Order. When he connects with Riley, he feels that their souls have connected and that she is his One. When he uncovers some recordings that pertain to her spaceship, he tells her what he knows. He wants her to survive even if they could never be together. He gets caught catting with her and with finding the hidden agenda between the leader of the Order and someone on the spaceship to bring the ship to their planet. He has to do whatever he can to make sure she survives, even if it is helping others that look down on him.

After reading all the other books in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series I was really happy to see that the author went back and wrote a prequel to the series. We get to see exactly why the human’s ship crashed and how Riley and Angota were able to have a love connection just from talking to each other over the communication channel. If you haven’t read this series yet starting at this book will throw you into a great world with even greater characters.
This prequel is great. I’d been wondering what actually happened; how did they actually crashed there. This was a great and beautifully written backstory/explanation. The characters were wonderful; I loved their interactions and personalities. It was just amazing.

Time out for a history lesson
I’m always a little leery when an author comes up with the “prequel” in the middle of a series. It smacks of “Oh. no. I’ve written myself into a box! Let me go back and tweak a few things so I can get out of it.” However, this particular prequel, and series, being the stunningly inventive and enthralling work of Miranda Martin, merits a closer and more objective look. So, when offered an ARC, I jumped right on it. Good thing. On the one hand, yes; it bugs me a little that previous mysteries and odd occurrences suddenly get more explanation. I mean, this series is so full of crazy loose-end clues that drive reader interest through book after book – why suddenly pull the plug on the some of the mystery of Tajss? On the other hand… Miranda Martin. This gal’s imagination, world-building, and plot construction skills are top drawer, and they are shown to advantage in this fascinating peek back into Tajss’ history. Not to mention the smokin’ hot romance! And there are MORE dragons who need mates, more humans as yet unaccounted for? And *GASP! not all of Tajss was blown back to its stone age by the Devastation??? Ok, I’m (still) utterly fascinated and completely addicted to the Red Planet Dragons off Tajss. Bring it, Miranda Martin!!
