I love when I get a taboo treat by K Webster. I’m always left with the right amount of feels and holy hotness. August was such interesting character within Dane. So, I couldn’t wait for his own story. I knew it was going to be red hot. Winter was such a young character but she knew what she wanted. She was sassy and didn’t take sh*t from no one. That included August. Man… August was brooding and kind of bitter because of his past relationship. I didn’t know how he was going to take Winter’s sassiness.
After listening to the Read Me Romance podcast featuring a shorter version of this book I knew I’d need more. Without having to send a mountain of requests to author K Webster, she not only gave us the wanted epilogue but also added scenes, into this universe she’s kindly shares With her readers.
In Winter’s story we have the labeled “taboo relationship” and in my opinion a version of the wicked stepmother, while I found our heroine bratty it was a perfect fit to her age, this extension brought us more of the relationship and interactions so it was just what we need to watch them fall in love.
A window is also open so glimpses of characters we have previously meet and glances at the ones to come are also here, I am personally excited for futher additions to this universe.
Holly Hotness! This is one sexy taboo story that just gets better and better! Like seriously I’ve said it before but I so want to be part of this town! Lol
This is Winter and mean old August story! I heard the audiobook and loved it! So glad I got more of their story. After trouble at home, Winter’s best friend Callie gets her dad, August to let her stay at his house while she figures her situation out. But very fast these two fall hard for each other!

Ok, formality aside, OMG! This book is freaking amazing! I looovveee strong characters in books and August and Winter really are perfect match. They are both strong and crazy in love and not afraid of showing it. I have read about August in the previous taboo treats and have always been fascinated by him because he was always so grumpy! Now I know he’s not only a hardass lawyer but also hardass in protecting the ones he love. The hotness factors in this book is off the chart. This book might just be my top 3 favorite in the entire taboo series!

Review Red Hot Winter is everything you expect when you know K.Webster has written this book. It is taboo. It is sexy. It is dirty. It will get your pulse racing and hands sweating. It is so bad that it feels so good!
Winter is forced to leave her home and stay at her best friend/stepsister’s house with her stepfather August. August’s ex wife is married to Winter’s father. She is an annoying and destructive woman who cheated on August and made his life living hell. August thinks about breaking down Winter to punish her dad. But soon it becomes complicated. They have this sizzling hot chemistry that’s burning the pages. Winter was attracted to August for long but couldn’t act on it . Now that they have the opening, they explore the passion. And the passion becomes something deep and profound.
I am drooling on August’s character. A bossy alpha with dirty mouth and even dirtier bedroom tricks, August is caring, over protective, dominating and too much enticing for his own good. Winter is more mature than her age. And she has the perfect attitude and sass to match August. I loved how their relationship progressed from passion to love to lifelong commitment. There is nothing to say about K.webster’s writing. She writes flawless, effortless and shameless treats. Red Hot Winter is just a brand new and intriguing addition to the taboo world. She made an uncomfortable and sensitive trope easy and comfortable for me. A short steamy and entertaining reading for taboo romance lovers!

This book had been narrated as a weekly audiobook in the Read Me Romance podcast, and this is where I’d first heard it.
I was waiting for the book to come out because the audiobook had ended with a kind of happy for now ending, and I wanted to see more into the characters future. I also have a hard time hearing sex scenes, so I wanted to read it, rather than hear it.
The book was one of Kristy’s taboo treats, and like all of her taboo treats I loved this one as well. They all take place in the same world, so you get to see alot of your favorite characters.
August is an attorney. He’s cold, and he’s British, and has been cheated on by his wife. The man his wife marries is Winter’s father, so he hates Winter by proxy. A fight between her father and her causes Winter to leave home in a fit. The place she goes to crash: August’s house of course.
Recipe for disaster.
What starts as revenge, becomes something else entirely for August. The cranky old man realizes that this teenager has been through alot more shit, and she’s not stupid and insipid like his ex-wife. Winter is smart, and August rralizes that early on.
For Winter life has been shit for the past few days. When she asks her father to choose between her and his new wife, he chooses the evil stepmother. But Winter’s got plans. She’s not going to let any old man tell her what to do, especially Augut whom she’s crushed on since she’s been a kid. She openly defies him, but her old feelings are quick to return. Maybe, just maybe, Winter had found her place.
I was very happy to see thag Kristy had given the story additional chapters, and we got to see the dynamic between the characters explored more.
Word of warning, if you don’t like reading about hot forty year olds and barely legal teenagers, this is not the book for you. But if you do like that, then read on to your hearts content. And be sure to check out Kristy’s other taboo treats.
This was a hot older man/younger woman story with a touch of enemies to lovers. While the heroine is eighteen she is still in high school. Due to the length of the book, there’s not a lot of foundation built although the heroine has had a crush on the hero for years but it’s now turned into something more. I worried that a part of this was going to feel revengey due to the heroine’s father having had an affair and then married the hero’s wife who then became his ex wife. But it never really hit that note for me which I was glad for. This definitely has some hot and heavy and a very taboo feel to it but I enjoyed it for what it was all the same.

Only K Webster can make this cold winter red hot!! August and Winter are yet another awesome addition to this taboo treat world!! Keep these treats coming!!
Red Hot Winter is HOT! K Webster has given us another great taboo treat with August and Winter’s love story. It is filled with some hot steamy scenes and the dual POV is great. This HEA is an awesome addition to K’s Taboo Treats series!
His wife cheat with his best friend.
His enemy daughter will take his revenge.
August have a plan but the hot red hair smart mouth Winter is a worthy opponent. She give as best as she takes. And boy oh boy if he didn’t give his best
A dance of seduction, playfull banter, lovable characters and just enough amount of angst… Once again K Webster taboo treat is a perfect read in anytime I need a hot night free stress.
***5 Stars***
After reading the last couplefew Taboo Treats I really wanted to know just who could get under Mr. Cranky Pants/Asshat August Miller’s skin and worm their way to his heart, because that person would definitely have to be a force of nature, and boy was Winter just that! Red Hot Winter was all kinds of angsty smexy goodness and I loved every second of it.
August is all kinds of cranky, but he comes by it honestly, and though he comes across like he has a black heart, it’s not AS black as most believe. Betrayal has turned him cynical, but he still cares…in his own way. Winter is a spitfire. She’s sassy, snarky and has a confidence that most her age don’t have. She is stubborn as all get out, but she’s also honest and it gives makes her that much more likeable. To say that August and Winter burned up the pages is an understatement, they were nuclear from the start and the tension between them was all kinds of smexy. And despite the age gap, they flowed together. The fit like two pieces in a puzzle and helped to make each other more than they ever thought they could be.
As with all the Taboo Treats, this was a fun, wild and quick ride. You can read this one as a standalone, but it would be a lot more fun if you went back at least a few and read those since you’ll meet August in them, if not start from the beginning, so you get the full impact of how all of these characters are connected.
