Decent read movie was better lol
Thomas Harris is very good at story telling. He has very original ideas that he can bring to life without over explaining it is amazing.
I went through this phase after watching Silence of the Lambs where I was interested in all things Hannibal Lecter. Now that I am older I would not read this book/
Good book
Better than Silence of the Lambs
As with the rest of this series – brilliant!
Loved this book, it kept my attention the entire time. You actually almost feel sorry for the antagonist in this story.
Crazy, full of intrigue and psychlogical terror.
I could. not put the book down it had me on the edge of my seat. My husband touched my shoulder. I jumped. and. screamed. I was so wrapped up in the story.
A great read.
I’m not at all squeamish when it comes to this kind of story, but this one struck me as pandering to the lowest common denominator of reader. (I read it, incidentally, prior to its actual release in an advanced reader copy when I worked for a bookstore.)
Fun read if you like any Hannibal Lector stories.
I could not put it down until I finished it. I will think twice before going off by myself.
Classic modern horror wrapped in delicious characters
Very frightening.
A classic. The original book on which characters in ‘Silence of the Lambs’ were introduced. Though it was written years ago, I still highly recommend it.
This book is hard to put down. It offers a rare opportunity to look at pure, twisted evil from the inside out while making you feel sorry for him at the same time.
Hannibal Lecter…terrific character
Read this one before Silence of the Lamb. It sets the stage for Hannibal Lecter.
His best book, by far!
