A great book you don’t want to miss. In Silence of the Lamb series. Love his stlye. Real page turner. Recommended.
Loved it
I like reading books that give you insight to how people can be
Scary intense drama from page one to the end.
A great read!
Better than its more famous sequel, “Silence of the Lambs” and far, Far, FAR better than the further Hannibal (a scary secondary character in this volume) sequels…
Fantastic‼
I’ve read many books in this genre and found this one lacking. The author seemes hell bent on making it too twisted to be a solid read. Skip it, there are so many better books of this ilk.
This is a marvelous read. If you’re a young reader who has heard of Tom Harris and his character Hannibal Lector, START with “Red Dragon” then read the others in sequence.
Reading about Hannibal Lector is more scary than any of the great actors who played him. Though they all really sunk their teeth in the roll.
A story of warped and twisted humanity.
not my first book to read by Thomas Harris—-scary—twisted—-I always read his books with the lights on and the doors locked
Nothing seems to top Silence of the Lambs but this is pretty close !
The best of the books with Hannibal lechter
Loved this book.
Silence of the Lambs better.
The prequel to Silence of the Lambs. If you enjoy Hannibal Lector and his twisted ways, you will enjoy this book. Well written and fairly fast paced, the story keeps you turning pages looking for the next macabre detail.
OK, scary!
Should be read by any Lecter fan just to get the background for the character. Even if you have read the other books or watched the movies, this one is the starting point.
Gave me a good prequel to Silence of the Lambs. Explained a lot about Hannibal and how he got that way.
WARNING: not for the squeamish!
