The NYPD’s most elite task force must protect the city from a shadowy killer with a vendetta in this New York Times bestselling mystery.
The richest of New York’s rich gather at The Pierre’s Cotillion Room to raise money for those less fortunate. A fatal blast rocks the room, stirring up horrifying memories of 9/11. Is the explosion an act or terrorism . . . or a homicide?
A big-name female … terrorism . . . or a homicide?
A big-name female filmmaker is the next to die, in a desolate corner of New York City. Detectives Zach Jordan and Kylie MacDonald investigate. But the crimes keep escalating as a shadowy killer masterfully plays out his vendetta — and threatens to take down NYPD Red in the bargain.
Another excellent book in this series. Bombs, murder, blackmail, revenge and robbery. What more could you ask for. Fast moving, detailed, several stories going on and all perfectly coming to a solution. Loved the ending, right or wrong, it had to end that way. Was sure I knew who murdered the girl, but was wrong, which made it even better. A very enjoyable read!
The one Patterson series I enjoy reading.
Didn’t guess the outcome of this one! A thoroughly action-packed book with twists and turns.
One of the better factory produced books. I prefer the hand crafted.
Great book
Pretty standard cop fare. If you like cop thrillers, then go foe it but otherwise there is better stuff out there.
Patterson’s books are always an ‘easy read’ for me. I enjoy the short chapters. It makes it easy to ‘stop’ reading at night and get a little sleep 🙂 The Red Alert unit of the NYPD is a good series. After reading some of the other reviews that say it is getting ‘stale’, I feel it just may be the writing of the “WITH” author and not Patterson’s. (Just my opinion) I will probably continue to read this series regardless of the “with” writers. And other Patterson series too Thanks for a good read.
I got this Audio book from the library. Great book plenty of action and suspense.
Patterson is one of my favorite authors.
James Patterson was not at his best in this book. Still, it was a Patterson and I’ll read everything of his I can. Our deceives are kept busy tracking done bombers and murderers. As always the ending is twisted and unexpected. Easy read, but, not as good as previous Red Alert stories.
A true page turn that actions packed
Love this series from Patterson. Lots of action. In depth characters.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Marshall Karp has become my favorite of all of James Patterson’s writing partners.
The partnership between these detectives sets off some of the best dialogue ever.
This is his best series since Alex Cross. Don’t miss it!
WooHoo! This was an attention grabber. Snatched from the headlines of TODAY!
Mr. Patterson and his sidekick knocked this one out of the ballpark. No use trying to do a synopsis, ya’ just gotta’ read this killer-diller yarn about current events! I love the relationship of the protagonist and his LARGE extended “Irish” family, including the family priest.
Another winner from James Patterson. I love this series almost as much as Women’s Murder Club,
To simplistic, losing touch with readers of this series
What can I say… James Patterson is always amazing! He is one of my TOP authors. I manage to read every book he writes.
As usual James Patterson did it again. Red Alert is among his best works. I love Zach and Kylie the two NYPD Red detectives. They get the high profile cases and work to solve them all the while trying to navigate the political spectrum. Red Alert is fast paced and had a few surprises I didn’t see coming including a surprise ending. Zach and Kylie manage to fine some humor where you wouldn’t expect it but they get the job done. If you like mysteries, I highly recommend Red Alert. Although it is part of a series it is a stand alone book but I do recommend reading the earlier books to get to know the characters better. You will not be disappointed
All of James Patterson’s series are exceptional.
Loved it.
