Reconciliation At The Spa: Eden Spa Series Book 2
An Insta-love Alpha Man and Curvy Woman Romance by Bestselling Author Avery North
When Heather Parsons’s marriage begins to crumble under the stress of caring for three small babies and an unhelpful husband, her friend Iris recommends a weekend away at the Eden Spa – a chance for Heather and her husband Josh to rekindle their fire. After much … After much coaxing, Heather convinces Josh to go away with her for the weekend.
When they check-in, Heather has visions of romance and lovemaking, but Josh’s negative attitude to the spa and her romantic efforts puts a dampener on her mood. Frustrated and lonely, Heather decides to leave Josh to his brooding and try to enjoy herself. Relaxing by the pool, she gets to know the handsome Hugh Warner.
When he listens to Heather responsively, giving her the attention she has been craving from her distant husband, he sends Heather’s emotions into a spin. As she spends more time with this sexy, caring stranger, Heather realizes how much Josh’s neglect is affecting her and wonders how long she can go on.
Will she give in to temptation or give her marriage one last try?

I was totally engaged from the very beginning with the well written storyline and well defined characters that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
After having the triplets, Heather and Joss’s marriage doesn’t seem the same as before. It’s like Joss is not interested in her anymore. He is selfish and doesn’t see the great effort Heather does every day.
I don’t like Joss at all. I find him selfish, lazy, focus on himself and not very helpful. However, despite all of this, they love each other and they go to Eden Spa to try to rekindle their passion.
I enjoy the book, but I wanted to give Joss a good push to wake him up. Three stars and a half.
A sweet short story about a couple that after having triplets they didn’t feel the same as before. I didn’t like Joss until the very end. Three and a half stars.
I think what is making this series so enjoyable is it’s positivity. So many things could have gone bwrong in this story however because Heather and josh chose to listen to their hearts instead of their head and libidos they can both remain happy.

Man!! I guess we woman can do it all. Work a full time job, take care of the children, clean the house and cook the meals. That is what this story is all about. Having a husband that is not working. Who is not taking care of the children while you are at work and its triplet. They are screaming their heads off, the diapers have not been change this that morning and they probably have not been feed either. It would be time for me to kick their sorry @$$ daddy to the curb. He was expecting her to cook when Heather got home as well as see after the children. Again I say Man!!!

Going to the Spa was supposed to be a relaxing time for Josh & Heather to work through the problems their relationship was going through since she’d had the babies but it was obvious Josh wasn’t as interested in saving their marriage as she was. She spent most of her time at the Spa with Hugh a widower & it felt good to talk to him about her & Josh spending time with him was relaxing. It seemed like they would not be going home together & Heather was ready to become a single mum until Josh realised what he had been doing to her & that it was his fault she was sad but he had to hurry up if he was to keep her & their family together.

Can they find their way back to each other?
Reconciliation At The Spa is the second book in the Eden Spa Series and it is another fun, entertaining, romantic and sexy short story. One weekend away at Eden Spa is all it takes for frazzled and stressed out Heather Parson to start being drawn to another man. You can’t blame the woman as she has three small children and a husband that has become ungrateful, rude, not helpful and downright an azz. She had to coax him into going away for the weekend and all he did was complain the whole way there and even after they were at the Spa. Heather had the intention to try and reconnect with Josh as an intimate couple again, trying to light that spark between then again. But when he laughs at her attempt she leaves and goes to the sauna to lick her wounds. There she crosses paths with a handsome guy named Hugh who had checked in at the same time they had and introduced himself. They spend time together in the sauna and the pool with him being attentive and caring towards her. But when she kisses him he backs off……….don’t want to be the reason breaking up a marriage. Heather returns to her room only to find Josh asleep.
The next day Josh is starting to realize that he has a problem that is himself. It seems he has put on weight, isn’t sure about how to care for his own kids and basically is not a happy with himself. He knows he also hurt Heather the previous night and comes up with a plan to make amends and hopefully reconnect with his wife and maybe in more ways than one.
Their marriage is in the rocks since the births of their triplets. A friend suggests they go to Eden Spas. She excited to go and her husband isn’t. Upon arriving they meet a handsome guy, Hugh.
Will Hugh makes waves between the two to push them further apart ? Will he be a listening ear ? Will he help them out ? All those and more will be answered once you read !

A quick and spicy second chance at romance.
Heather and Josh have been together a couple of years now and have a set of triplet girls to make their life busy. But lately, Heather is missing who Josh used to be before the babies and she’s really missing the passion between them. When the spa worked so well for her friend Iris, she decided to try and save her marriage and take Josh there to rekindle their romance. Only it doesn’t work out as well as she’d hoped until it was almost too late.
This is the second book in the Eden Spa Series and it can be read on its own but it does follow up with Iris & Don from the first book, so it might have a couple of spoilers for the first book.

Avery North has written a 5-star book about Heather and Josh, a couple who have lost touch with each other. Heather comes home from work to her crying triplets and her husband asleep on the couch. After taking care of the babies, Josh asks her what is for dinner. She is in no mood for him and she lets him have it. She is wondering where they are going in their marriage or if it is even worth it anymore. She goes to meet some friends and Raven is there to pick up a pamphlet for a new Spa called Eden Spa. Iris another friend tells her that it is nice since that is where she met her boyfriend. Heather thinks this may be a good idea to rekindle her and Joah’s love for each other. When she tells Josh about what she has done all he thinks about is the money. He grips the whole way and once they get there and watch a short video, they go to their room and he takes a nap while Heather goes to the pool. While there at the pool, she meets Hugh and they start talking. As the weekend progresses the more Heather thinks that her marriage to Josh is over since he doesn’t seem to care to spend any alone time with her. They have dinner and go back to their room and Heather goes into the bathroom and comes back out and Josh asks “what are you wearing?” then he chuckled. Heather goes back into the bathroom and gets into her swimsuit and as she comes out Josh asks “Where are you going now?” What’s wrong? She just walks out on him. The next morning things between them are tense and as they are eating breakfast, Josh reaches for Heather’s hand and tells him that he does love her. She pulls her hand away and tells him that they just need to eat and then they can leave. Josh tells her that they can’t leave since they paid for the whole weekend and she tells him that all he thinks about is money. She throws her napkin down and tells Josh he can eat his breakfast alone because she is not hungry anymore and walks out. Heather goes out and looks for Hugh and when she finds him, they have a talk and she tells him that she doesn’t think her marriage is worth it anymore when Josh seems like he doesn’t care anymore for her. Hugh tells her not to give up just yet and leaves her to think. Later that day one of the employees comes looking for Heather telling her that her husband needs her. Heather asks if “something is wrong?” the employee tells her she doesn’t know but Heather needs to follow her. When they get to where Heather needs to be, the employee opens the doors and the room is full of candlelight and a table is set for two and Josh is standing there in a suit.
Can Heather and Josh rekindle the love they once had for one another or will their marriage end?
This was a very realistic and emotional book. All readers of this book can relate to it in one way or another. I would recommend this book to anyone.
I received an ARC of this book for my voluntarily and honest review.

This book is a fantastic and feel good story! Josh and Heather have been married for three years and have triplet girls. He is currently off work for renovations and Heather is frustrated when she comes home from work to find him asleep, the girls crying and the house a mess. She’s starting to wonder if her marriage is over when she runs into her friend Iris. They end up talking about the Eden Spa. Iris met her fiance, Don, there and highly recommends it to Heather, telling her that she and Don will even watch the girls so they can go. She finally decides they are going to go and Josh isn’t happy about it. They arrive and he’s not very into participating and heads to the room to nap. She meets Hugh Warner, a man who has recently lost his wife to cancer but came on the trip they had planned for their anniversary anyway. The two strike up a friendship very quickly. That night, Heather tries to seduce Josh with sexy lingerie and he laughs at her. Angry and almost in tears, she leaves the room and heads for the pool, where she runs into Hugh again. He helps her to relax a bit and before she realizes what she’s doing, Heather kisses Hugh. While he admits he’d love for them to be together, he tells her she needs to fight for her marriage. Josh wakes up the next morning realizing he’s got to make some changes, that their issues are all his fault. He heads to the gym to work out and before long, he’s working on his marriage again. Heather is approached by a member of the staff to escort her to the dining hall. When she gets there she is overwhelmed by the romantic scene Josh has created. They work on rekindling the spark between them and soon they are on their way to repairing their marriage. Josh even tells her it was Hugh who helped him plan their romantic evening. The day they are to leave the spa, they are looking for Hugh to thank him only to find that he has already left. They head home, in love again and determined to make sure their marriage is never in danger of falling apart again.

Heather Parsons’s marriage begins to crumble under the stress of caring for three triplet babies and husband who does absolutely nothing to help her, despite the fact the factory he worked at closed for 3 weeks for renovations. Heather comes home from her full-time job to find Josh sleeping on the couch and the babies screaming and crying in their cribs. She went to their room and the diapers on all three were thoroughly soaked. Unfortunately, Josh chose that moment to walk in — after she worked a long day at work and returned to the children not being cared for — and demanded what she was serving him for supper! A door slammed in his face was her only response. What had happened to their marriage? They used to be in love? Now he sat in front of the TV while she worked a job, cared for the kids, cooked, cleaned, vacuumed, fixed snacks, bathed and put the kids to bed, and even visited the gym at lunch hour so she’d still look good for him! Josh, too, missed the way things were when he used to come home to candles and music and passion all night long. He hoped when the kids were born, they could have that again – but it didn’t happen. He didn’t think he would ever get that Heather back.
Heather stopped in at lunch hour to see Iris and Sheri at the shop. Raven, an old school friend, was there too, picking up a pamphlet on Eden Spa’s Christmas Special weekend away. Iris suggested Heather and Josh go for a weekend at Eden Spa, which Iris met her fiancé, Don. Further, Iris offered to watch the kids so the two could go. Heather was looking so worn out and they never saw her and Josh go out anymore. With much coaxing and threatening, Heather finally got Josh to agree to go with her – although he grumbled and complained the whole way there, and most any other time he opened his mouth. They had an introductory video to watch, and Hugh Warner asked if he could sit with them, while Josh buried his nose in his cellphone and ignored him. To Heather’s delight, they came around with bags for everyone to deposit their phones for the weekend. Nor were any TVs in the rooms! But when she tried to dress sexy, fix her hair and makeup, and stood in the bathroom doorway, he started to laugh, saying her nightgown was too tight. So she put on her bathing suit and left. When she came back, he was asleep and never stirred as she climbed into bed.
The end result of her horrible beginning was that Hugh treated her like a desirable woman. Josh could eat alone. But she would spend time with someone who enjoyed her company. She and Hugh sat in a sauna, then he grabbed her hand and they jumped into freezing cold water! He wrapped her in a warm towel and she kissed him. He pulled away and said he would not break up her marriage. She needed to try again with Josh. She wasn’t sure how to do that anymore. But as she sat in a lounge chair, one of the staff asked her to follow her to the dining room for a moment.
Josh was seeing the mistakes he made, but he never said anything to Heather to apologize. He realized he hated himself, his weight gain, how he didn’t know how to care for three kids. So he went to the gym to think things through and find a way to fix it. When Heather entered the dining room, he was dressed in a suit and greeted her as if this was a first date. He was delighted to meet her, she was more beautiful than her pictures, and he asked her to dance to the song they danced to on their first date. Heather had a decision to make. Her Josh was still inside of this man who had been becoming a stranger. Maybe Hugh was right – maybe she needed to try again?
This is a beautiful story that unfortunately rings true for many couples. Those early magical times are sometimes quickly overshadowed once the family starts to grow and we don’t slow down to appreciate what we have. When the wife also works, yet is expected to continue in the homemaker role full-time as well, it can bring on exhaustion and frustration – especially if hubby sits in front of the TV instead of taking on some of the work so they can BOTH relax. The author does a wonderful job of releasing the emotions in the reader so both sides can be appreciated and understood. We all need an Eden Spa to reset, realize our blessings, renew the love, and go back to reality refreshed. See if Eden Spa worked its magic on Heather and Josh! (They should probably come back the following weekend as well for a double-dose!)
Things have gone south in Heather and Josh’s marriage. He’s on hiatus from his job – the factory is being renovated. She’s still working, coming home to three crying babies, with him expecting her to deal with the kids and fix dinner. Iris (from Seduction at the Spa) and Sheri talk Heather into trying a spa weekend with Josh. Iris volunteers to take care of the babies. It’s a chore to even get Josh to agree to go, but they’re finally on their way to a weekend alone, the first in a very long time. Unfortunately, things don’t get any better once they arrive. Can these two find the way back to their happy place? I’m really enjoying this new series. This book is a really nice almost second-chance – quite nice to see Heather and Josh start to fix what’s wrong between them.
