Reclaiming Tomorrow
Haylee Thorne
Thank you for generously providing me this ARC in exchange of a honest review.
ATENTION: I only read Reclaiming Tomorrow so I can’t talk about the series as a whole, only about the book itself.
Reclaiming Tomorrow is the third book on the Kingsley series by Haylee Thorne and tells the story of Mikaela Kingsley and Eric Hardwick.
The series has six more books, three already published and three that will be published on the first semester of 2019.
The book is divided into two parts and Haylee Thorne wrote it in an unusual way. I don’t know if it would be a spoiler (moreover because I don’t know if the other books were wrote like that), but since I adored the surprise, I’ll let you find out by yourselves.
Part 1 was the most interesting to me and if I was to use only one word to describe the whole book, it’d be surprising.
My fast and shallow investigations shows that each couple has two books on the series. Three couples, seven books, one remain. The “extra” is considered 0.5 and about who it is I don’t know, maybe it was about the twins. Reclaiming Tomorrow was the first book about Mikaela and Eric (ATENTION: it has a cliffhanger) and the next to be published will be the second.
There are more things happening on RT other than Mikaela’s and Eric’s plot. I’m not sure if these things was part of the previous books and if they’ll be part of the last two books of the series. Therefor, I don’t know if you can read each pair of books about each couple as a standalone duet.
Althought I only read one book of a series with seven that doesn’t seem to have stadalone books, I understood well. One thing or the other was not explained well, but nothing that prevented me to understand the big picture.
I will not recommend the whole series beacuse I haven’t read it, but I recommend RT.

Reclaiming Tomorrow
Haylee Thorne

Captivating emotional suspenseful page-turner romance story. Strong engaging characters. It is a well-written book, I enjoyed reading. It was a pleasure to review.
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Haylee Thorne; she has done an excellent job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is the first time reading the author’s Haylee Thorne’s work and I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest! This was a wonderful read and I loved Mikaela and Eric as well as the darkness surrounding Mason. This was an intriguing and exciting story and since it end on a cliffhanger, I can’t wait for the conclusion to Eric and Mikaela’s love story 🙂

Although it is the third book in the series, it could be read and enjoyed fully.
I liked the characters, the storyline, and the chemistry between Mikaela and Eric.
I recommend the book for its story, troubled love, and real characters.
Reclaiming Tomorrow is the 3rd book in The Kingley series and it is just as good as the first two!
Author Haylee Thorne writing style pulls you in an captures your attention from the very beginning to the very end!
This was an amazing book. First off, it is all over the place, time wise. However, it is wonderfully written, so it all gets pulled together. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.

Star crossed love stories. Even though you always know that they’re going to have some dark, painful moment that makes you absolutely want to rip your heart out at some point and scream at the author for even writing that and making the poor character suffer, a part of you still reads each love story and hopes for a different outcome. Reclaiming Tomorrow by Haylee Thorne is another guilty pleasure read. There is such a raw, emotional quality to her writing and the trauma that she brings into these stories is nearly as draining for the reader to go through as it is for the characters to endure.
Mikaela Kingsley is part of the exclusive Kingsley clan. Being part of a wealthy family dynasty comes with its perks. She’s been given everything she could possibly want; clothes, cars, trips to amazing places and her pick of any eligible boy her heart could want. The only problem is that she doesn’t want any of that. All of the fortune and fame that comes along with the Kingsley name is the one thing that keeps her from the one person her heart really wants to be with; Eric Hardwick, who’s not only the family lawyer for the Kingsley’s but also best friend to Mikaela’s brother Mika. He’s a walking definition of tall, dark and handsome
The only aspect and I literally mean the only thing that bothered me about this book was that it really did need to be read with the others in the series. There is clearly a backstory to these characters that have been set up. While you can read them as standalones, it’s not as a satisfying. I believe that going in sequential order would enrich the reader’s experience. The characters were electric from the beginning to end. The author did a great job at bringing the emotional level up right from the beginning of the book and not letting it falter. It plays on classic romance tropes like friend falls for the younger sibling of their best friend but brings in their own twist and makes the story unfold in an interest peaking way.
Oh the chemistry with these two! You get so many aspect in one beautifully written book – great characters, suspense, intrigue, twists and turns. And then there is all the steam! If you don’t read then you’re missing out.
Reclaiming Tomorrow is the first book that I have read in this series but believe me, I will be reading books 1 & 2 now! This story is flawlessly written and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next! If you love a suspenseful, emotional read, this is definitely the book for you! I simply can’t wait for the next book!

Reclaiming Tomorrow is the 3rd book in the Kinsley series by Haylee Thorne. This is Mikaela and Eric’s story. A best friends little sister/ friends to lovers story. Their love story is amazing although the timeline in the story had me confused a bit at timrs. I adored the main characters and the secondary characters and can’t wait to read their stories. Eric and Mikaela have this smoldering chemistry that will have you rooting for their HEA. As their story plays out, its full of drama, angst, heartache, teist, intrigue and a huge cliffhanger at the end. I’m most definitely wondering what’s going to happen next in this series.
My Rating: 4.4 stars *****
Even though this is the 3rd book in the Kingsley series, the author does a great job at making it able to be read as a stand-alone and giving the reader the back story without it being repetitive by telling it from another character’s point of view.
Mikaela has a twin brother Mika, and since they were children and into their adulthood, Eric has been their best friend. They are the pervertible Three Amigos, when you see one the other two aren’t far behind.
The glitch in this is that both Eric & Mikaela want to be more than friends, but Mika has made it clear from childhood, that this is not an option. He is a slightly overprotective brother.
They can’t fight their feelings any longer & begin to date in secret, finally professing their love for each other. When they’re about to come clean to Mika, Mikaela falls victim to unscrupulous people and is injured in the process. Her injury causes her to lose all memory of the last 5 years of her life.
There are some things in life that money cannot buy / fix. There are a few plot twists that leave the reader wondering what is next. Does she ever regain her memory? Do they ever get their Happily Ever After? Warning it does end in a Cliffhanger and these aren’t it.
Reclaiming tomorrow by Haylee Thorne is the story of the unexpected. That is the best way to describe it. If you have had he pleasure of reading the first two books in the series you will know that Mika and Mikaela deserve their happily ever after more than most, but the struggles they have to go through to be there are insane.
Mikaela has finally been able to come out of her shell and find a life of her own, outside of the Kingsley name when it is all quickly taken from her. Through a series of events we discover Mikaela’s trials she has to face to reach the end of her story. However just when we think these two will have their happily ever after, their world comes crumbling down around them.
Thorne writes and amazing story of love through the ages, but also show the family is who you choose for it to be. Although unfortunately for Mika and Mikaela theirs seems to never want to let go…
Reclaiming Tomorrow is the third in the ‘Kinsley’ series by Haylee Thorne. While this book is in the same timeline and has characters from the previous books, it’s not necessary to have read them first. It might help fill in some blanks, (I haven’t got around to it yet, so I’m only guessing).
This is Mikaela and Eric’s story and it’s quite an emotional read. It was intense and each have a lot to contend with, but this isn’t a one book story and after all the trials they’ve faced we still have to wait for the next installment to see if they get their happy ending.
Another heart-racing, page-turning, how-can-you-do-this-to-me read from Haylee Thorne. Each book in this series just gets better with the twists and turns that reveal surprises you didn’t see coming. Love Eric and Mik’s chemistry so much and already breathlessly waiting for the next installation of their story.
