Another fantastic book by Stephanie St. Klaire! We’ve met Liam in previous books but this time he is front and center. Liam is the computer geek/hacker brother of the O’Reilly clan. He is also a single father whose wife passed away years earlier. Liam works and falls for(although he will deny this) Felicity “City” a fellow computer hacker who cares for his daughter and has been taken under his family’s wing.
City has been acting strangely and Liam being worried keeps track of her and involves his brothers. City’s hacker past has caught up with her. The crime in this book is different than what the brothers are used to dealing with. The criminal is hiding behind a computer and not one that they can just easily find and deal with.
Liam realizes that since his wife has died he hasn’t even much of a father to his daughter. Even though he loves her very much he can’t quite get over the emotional hurdle that he is stuck on. He is afraid if he is too close to her and something happens to him it will be harder on her than if he keeps his distance. City and his dead wife, through letters she left before she died, help him realize he isn’t really living and doing a disservice to the life Liam and his wife had together.
Liam and City were great together. Even though Liam was in denial of his feelings for her City never pressured or pushed him into being with her. She is a strong person to take care of his daughter for years and basically love him without letting him know. It was perfect how and when they got together.
This book had some emotional scenes. I pretty much read them through tears but they were perfect and I wouldn’t want a thing to change. This was a fabulous book and I don’t know how this series just keeps getting better but it does. I am excited to read the other O’Reilly brothers books. I think you got a better feel for them in this book and I look forward to them each getting their story told.
What do you do when your wife dies of cancer & leaves you & your daughter behind? Liam retreats behind a wall & doesn’t let anything in. He doesn’t see what it’s doing to his daughter until she breaks down. While Liam is battling his fear & emotions, he has a battle on his hands at work too. Brother’s Keeper is a form of a security firm. They protect others & go after the bad guys. This time, instead of them going after the enemy, the enemy is coming after them and he’s using Liam’s specialty, technology, to do it.
Felicity was Liam’s wife Cassidy’s best friend. She’s had feelings for Liam for a long time but hasn’t acted on them. She’s just been there for his daughter. She’s come to feel like the O’Reilly’s are her family. Now her past has come back to haunt her & she’s determined to keep it away from them. Can she manage to outwit the King of Technology or will Liam figure out what she’s doing?
Ms. St. Klaire had me in tears for much of this story! Liam & Reagan tore my heart out. Their interactions illustrated the way Reagan’s feelings & confidence were damaged by her mother’s death & her father pulling away. The letters Cassidy wrote before her death are heartbreaking & insightful. The way the brothers closed ranks around Felicity, Liam & Reagan was perfectly representative of the family’s love for each other. I really can’t wait to see if the author can top this story!
This is a fabulous read. It was a roller coaster of emotions that had me laughing one minute and crying the next. The suspense is nail bitingly superb, kept me on the edge of seat wanting to know what’s next.
Liam has been closed off to everything after his wife’s death and watching him finally open up and acknowledge his feeling for Felicity was both heartwarming and emotional . The bond and love the brothers share is just beautiful. Declan’s story was just awesome, and this is the same if not better. Can’t wait to see what the author has next in store for us.
Liam O’Reilly loves his family and friends who are family. He is still hurting from the loss of his wife seven years ago. His daughter Reagan is hurting also. Liam doesn’t want to love again he is afraid of the pain. He shuts out those that care about him, disconnects from everyone. Felicity aka City works for Liam and his brothers but she is running from a ghost , she wants to protect the O’Reilly’s from her past. A past she thought was long gone. She has been helping raise Reagan and trying to help Liam heal. Can she trust the O’Reilly brothers to help her put her fears and past to rest, can Liam come back to his family and love again. This book will make you cry, laugh and love the brothers O’Reilly so much.
This book lives up to what we have come to expect from Stephanie St. Klaire: hot, guys, suspense, and steamy romance. Liam and Felicity have been working together in his security firm, Bothers Keepers for years. While attracted to each other, they do their best to ignore it. Liam because of his grief from losing his wife and taking care of his daughter and Felicity (City) knowing Liam can’t move on until he is ready. When City find herself in danger she has to rely on Liam and the Brothers Keepers to get her safe and their love for each other comes out.
Another great book by a wonderful author!
Wow! This story is filled with mystery, suspense and hot chemistry between Liam and City. City has become an important part of the O’Reilly family but she wants a lot more from Liam O’Reilly. She has been by his side since the death of his beloved wife, helping him and his daughter grieve. Liam is stuck. He holds everyone, including his daughter at arm’s length. But when City’s life is threatened, everything changes.
I loved the dynamics between the characters here. I really liked that Liam loved his wife and took time to grieve her with City’s help. The mystery here had me reading faster and faster! I love this series and can’t wait to read Luke’s story!
This booked grabbed me like all Ms. St.Klaire books do. She brings suspense, heart, and laughter to Liam the second book in Brothers Keeper. Liam was dealing with so much after his wife’s death. Raising a daughter was not easy.
Felicity and his family helped a lot.
The one thing was that Felicity was hiding something and he didn’t know what that was. He knew she didn’t do it on purpose, but he followed her anyway.
Felicity knew this was the only way. She had to save her family. The O’Reilly family took her in. She could not let them get hurt because of her past.
See what happens. Buy the book. I also recommend Declan which is the first book in the series.
Rating is 4.5
Ohhh. I loved this book. I liked it a lot more than the first book. Don’t get me wrong, that first book was amazing, but I liked the storyline for this one more.
Liam, one of the O’Reilly brother twins, is as loyal and protective as the rest of the O’Reilly clan. He lost his wife about seven years before to cancer and has not really healed from it. He is punishing himself with guilt and cannot move forward or allow himself to love again and it affects his daughter.
Felicity “City” as they call her, is wicked smart and has been the woman figure in Liam’s daughter Reagan’s life. Her and Reagan have a real close bond, especially since Liam is there but not there.
But when danger threatens City and everyone he loves, he fights to control his feelings and protect everyone. But can he save City before she is murdered by the past that has come back to haunt her?
This book was an emotional roller coaster ride. Liam deals with some heavy guilt. Afraid to live life. He struggles so hard and when it starts affecting his daughter and City shoves it in his face, he decides that maybe it is time to make a change. His struggle is deep. And the letters. Oh my! I cried reading those letters from his dead wife. She really was an amazing woman.
Felicity is a strong-willed and minded woman. She is just as fiercely protective as Liam is. She will do anything for the O’Reilly family. We saw that in the first book, when she helped to protect baby Jax. Her bond between her and Reagan is beautiful. I love how she puts them before herself in all situations.
This series that Stephanie has created is an amazing world of thrills, chills and romance. They are exciting reads that have you on the edge of your seat and guessing till the end. It is full of twists and surprises. Action packed thrills that will have you yelling, crying and biting your nails. A smooth flowing story that will draw you in and wanting more. These O’Reilly men are hot, sexy, over protective alpha males. Did I mention they are Irish? I love Irish men. 😉
If you have not read these book, then I highly suggest you do. You are missing out on a great adventure.

Another fabulous book! Absolutely loved Liam and City’s story and how Liam finally opened his heart up enough to love again. One the best things about the Brother’s Keeper series is how the O’Reilly clan take care of the ones they love whether they are family by blood or not. There were so many emotions that ran through me while reading Liam’s story. One of the most emotional parts were how Cassidy who is Liam’s deceased wife enlisted City’s help making scrapbooks for Reagan and Liam with a letter enclosed in anticipation of every milestone that she wouldn’t be present for in their lives. I think the most emotional part of the book was when Reagan lost her beloved pet and said she didn’t want another pet because it’s too hard to end up with a broken heart and how she wanted to be like Liam and close herself of the way he did from everyone so she wouldn’t get hurt again. Enough spoilers, this book is definitely a must read!!
Liam and Felicity
He’s a sexy as sin widower and father, tech wiz, and he loves her but is still living in the past. She was his wife’s bf, and is being stalked, hunted…and he’ll stop at nothing to keep her safe.
She’s been hiding and trying to clean up this mess for so long, but somehow “he” found her, and now they’re all in danger. Liam gets under her skin and she loves him but he’s not let go of the past…
Working together, can they catch this mastermind before it’s too late??? Can they get their HEA that they deserve???
Secrets revealed, family surface, and memories are laid to rest in this sensational novel. LOVED IT!
These stories just keep getting better and better!
Liam is the hot computer nerd of Brother’s Keeper, an elite security firm based in Portland Oregon and run by the O’Reilly brothers. While not involved with the brawn of the group, he and Felicity run the computer system that keeps everyone and everything together and safe.
Felicity or ‘City’ as everyone calls her, has a history, and not one that she wants Liam and his other brothers to be involved in. Her past has caught up with her and she sets out to put the threat to rest on her own. Not a good option in the O’Reilly universe!
Liam knows City is not ‘on her game’. She’s sneaking around and he’s wondering what’s going on and sets out to find out the truth. He has concerns about City, but also about the safety of his daughter Reagan. City has been her mother figure since Liam’s wife died 7 years before. He wants to make sure they’re both safe. Enter all the O’Reilly brothers, hell bent on making sure their family, and those they consider family are safe!
Ms. St. Klaire tugs at your heartstrings as you see deeper into the loss Liam suffered when his wife died. Then she throws all that right back at you when you think harm may come to City and Reagan.
Suspense, romance, twists and turns, this is a great book and worth your while to take a few hours and enjoy. Well then there are the O’Reilly boys and who doesn’t LOVE these hot, brawny, brainy, and competent fellas!
Not only has Stephanie St. Klair elevated her writing game yet again, but now she knows…stuff! Is nothing sacred?! Short of learning to write code, if she doesn’t already know how, this woman’s overall comprehension of spy and espionage behaviors & tactics could be seen as frightening! In fact I have no doubt that the research it must have taken to write this book has undoubtedly landed Stephanie on several watch lists! And if the vast number of movie producers out there are paying any attention she’d be on their radar too because Liam’s story is one for the big screen! More drama than a usual HEA romance story, so much more. This book – these boys – keep you turning the pages with a lot of angst, a strong dose of “who done it?” and a dash of heat that will leave you begging for Luke’s story! Well done Stephanie, truly great work!!
If you want to go to sleep, do NOT start reading this book at bed time! I made this mistake, and could not put down this book.
Liam is the computer geek of the O’Reilly clan. The O’Reilly brothers have a business protecting clients. Liam’s wife passed from cancer, and her best friend Felicity (City) is helping to raise their daughter. There is so much going on in this book – The love that Liam is learning he does not have to go without, the scared and protected feelings that Liam has for City and his daughter Reagan. Then there is another hacker that is trying to get to Felicity. Some of the scenes are so scary. I can see that happening in the future. This is an action packed book. I really like it when a character in the book has forgotten how to love and now has a wide open heart with love flowing. Many emotional scenes with letters that will make you cry.
I will gladly read more books by this author. Even though this is the second book in the Brother’s Keeper series, it can be read as a stand alone book.
Brother’s Keeper is a hard core security group run by 5 brothers. Liam is the computer guru and the nerd we all love. Felicity is the woman who challenges his hacking and emotions. The road to their HEA is a long and windy one that keeps you guessing! A must read!
WooHoo!!
This Brother’s Keeper series is amazing! I’m so glad that the O’Reilly family is huge if it means they all get a fabulous story!
The first book in the series, DECLAN, is top-notch! But, number 2, LIAM, is stellar! This is a very emotional telling, dealing with death and heartache. It’s hard to put into words how dynamic this story is.
I laughed, cried, I got angry and I sympathized. I was also impressed with the diversity this family deals with everyday. A story can’t go wrong with so many emotions in play. Technology versus family values go hand in hand in the O’Reilly family.
This exciting, tech savvy story keeps you guessing about what comes next. It is full of surprises as well as deep feelings. It mixes loss and sweetness, danger and triumph, friendship and hot sex. You get deeply involved and committed to this family, the closeness they share and the loyalty they live. Without question, each member of this family is concerned for the safety and emotional well being of each other no matter the circumstances.
I don’t want to reveal even the smallest spoiler because this book is just that good. You don’t just read Liam, you experience LIAM. I absolutely loved this book and will definitely look forward to the next O’Reilly in this series! Excellent job!
Liams story was a great read! Made me cry several times, but had plenty of action and a great love story mixed in. If you like suspense, romance and a good tear jerker then you will love Liam and City’s story!
Liam: Wow! It left speechless throughout the whole book. Loved all the characters and how the story was told! Stephanie St Klaire did another amazing job. Loved Liam so much. Loved the cover. Great job of writing. Look forward to finding out about the next brother. The brothers are full of surprises. I just wanted to be apart of the whole family.
Oh my goodness. Where to start?! This book took me through the wringer. In all the right ways.
I felt it started slow, but it pulled me in and stuck it’s hooks in me. I couldn’t put it down. Liam and Felicity delivered every thing. I laughed, I ugly cried and every thing in between. It was well worth the read.
Another fantastic rollercoaster ride of a story by St. Klaire. Liam is a widower and computer geek who keeps his emotions totally contained, even from his daughter Reagan in his fear for losing another loved one. Felicity, aka City is a computer geek hacker who works for the O’Reilly brothers and helps Liam with Reagan and who has suddenly acquired a cyber stalker.Liam has shut down his emotions since his wife died and is existing, not really living and is vehement in his protection of those he loves,City included. When her past catches up with her Liam will do everything in his power to protect her and will eventually have to break his emotions out of the container they are in. This is a fast paced, suspenseful, emotional story as only St. Klaire can do.It’s like riding the biggest, baddest rollercoaster with all the ups, downs and in betweens. She never fails to bring the laughs and tears.
Alrighty ladies and gents, get ready to bust out the tissues for this O’Reilly story. There’s a lot of emotion that goes with Liam’s story. As always, Stephanie does not disappoint in her story telling. She has created characters you come to love and care about. And the O’Reilly Brothers are right up there. I can’t wait for the rest of their stories! Two O’Reilly’s down, three to go!
