The first time I kissed Scarlet, I knew I was in trouble. The night I slept with her, my life changed forever. The day I found out I was going to be a father, I ran from her. Now that I’ve been given a second chance I won’t be so reckless. Will my love be enough to prove to her that even in the darkest times I won’t repeat the past?
Confession time I did not read the series I read this one first and now I have to go back and read the series because holy hell so much was going on and the family dynamics is amazing. The family is very tight and they stick together through thick and thin. This is the final book in the series and it tied up everything that much I got from it but the true story of Trevor and Scarlet just about broke me. I tell you I yelled at my kindle and I wanted to jump through it a few times to give Trevor a good old fashion arse kicking.
First I have to say that Scarlet gets big KUDOS from me for being a strong woman who knew what she wanted and didn’t shy away from it but embraced it the good the bad and the ugly. She is so strong after she finds out she is pregnant with Trevor’s baby. She knows that Trevor is a man whore and is not ready to settle down that he is not ready to commit but she stands strong and has the baby anyways.
Even after all that Scarlet gives him a second chance to prove himself. To prove that he can commit and that he is really ready to settle down. He does a lot of groveling and he should because he was a douche bag to her and ran when he found out she was pregnant. But he swears now that Scarlet is giving him another chance he will cherish it and not mess up and prove himself no matter what he has to do.
This was an amazing story about family and friends and how families stick together no matter what. I am going to read the series from the beginning because this book has me hooked on the Parker Family
Reckless Love has arrived! And I’m equally thrilled and devastated that its here! Firstly I’m absolutely stoked that Trevor’s story is here and we can find out why he has been such an asshat to Scarlet! We can find out about the baby, Trevor’s feelings, and maybe I can come to an understanding of why I find Eric creepy as heck! This book has literally given me all of the feels! and the reason for the devastation is because of this is the last book in the series! though I don’t know how I will be able to survive without new stories of the Parker’s.
At the beginning of Reckless Love, I was cursing Trevor for all its worth! but by halfway through I was surprised how I felt about Trevor, I had been mad at him for so long, but after several chapters, my heart warmed to him and understood his feelings. But then there is poor Scarlet, and seriously you cannot help but love her and have your heart break for everything she goes through.
In this book, and like her other books before, Kelly Elliott manages to awake emotions in you that you didn’t expect to feel over a book, but the writing and plot were outstanding and it was such a beautiful end to an amazing series… but I’m definitely hoping that there are some smoking hot Greek SWAT officers in out future *HINT HINT*
I totally recommend that you all rush out and buy this book, though I will warn you that it is part of the Cowboys and Angels series, and you should read those books BEFORE starting this one, but once you start reading, you will totally wish that you were apart of the Parker Family!
I give Reckless Love 5 stars!
This book was a great end to a wonderful series. I love all these characters and this family. Reckless Love held every aspect that I crave in a story. Angst, love, forgiveness, are just some of the things that round out this wonderful story.
I can not believe that this series is over!! I have loved every book that was part of this crazy Parker family. Each story faced its own set of issues but this book really hit close to home for me and I loved every page of it…even the hard ones. This is an author that I just discovered recently and I have devoured this series so if you haven’t started yet, I highly recommend that you dive in ASAP!!
Scarlett has been in love with Trevor since high school and even though he never made any promises, she couldn’t stop her heart from falling. Now when she is ready to walk away for good, an sudden surprise makes her reach out one last time…but nothing goes as planned.
Trevor has always want Scarlett to be his forever but he isn’t ready right now. However he can’t stay away either. Now everything has changed and he must man up or let her go for good…
This story is about unconditional love, heartbreaking circumstances , second chances, and making sure that your forever knows the plan!!
I have to admit…I didn’t know how Kelly Elliott was going to change my mind about Trevor Parker and his manwhore/asshole ways. He frustrated the living hell out of me even when he wasn’t the main character of the story, so the fact that I was going to get inside his head and hear all of his internal musings…his justification for how he treated Scarlett…his inability to settle down – yea, I wasn’t looking forward to it and I truly thought he was going to piss me off even more than he already has, and that doesn’t even include all of his acting before thinking gems that further put him in the dog house with Scarlett and other family members.
I love that Scarlett thought of herself and the baby first, not jumping right back into a relationship with Trevor after he broke her heart time and time again and made her feel used and misused whenever he wanted her. Trevor has a lot to make up for, and the fact that Scarlett held steadfast to what her head was telling her to do, even when she was clearly conflicted due to her strong feelings for Trevor and the extreme pressure she felt to do things ‘properly’ in the eyes of her parents. Keeping her distance from Trevor is definitely not something her heart wants her to do, but Scarlett refuses to be hurt by him again, so her cautious attitude is necessary, and I felt like that was the right decision for her and for them.
Once again, the Parker siblings and their significant others as well as their parents step up in big ways for Trevor and Scarlett, not only to help them fix what was broken between them but also to celebrate together, harass one another, anything and everything that a close and loving family should due for each other. The Parkers are a family full of big personalities, but at the end of the day, they have one another’s back and that means everything to all of them.
Trevor is certainly reckless with Scarlett’s heart and her feelings, but the fact that he understands exactly what his actions did to Scarlett and works to make amends for his behavior made me believe in his feelings for her and made me trust that he wouldn’t let her down again, as long as he could help it.
Scarlett’s recklessness is due to her love for a man who has always said he’ll never commit, never settle down, and it’s not that she thought she could change him, it’s more that her heart and her body wanted him so much that she willingly took what she could get until it came to the point where she couldn’t give so much of herself to a man who gave her nothing in return.
Kelly Elliott’s Cowboys & Angels series is a collection of amazing books with complex characters and the struggles and triumphs they face. I definitely feel like I’m an honorary Parker family member, and while I’m sad to say goodbye to them, I’m so glad I had the chance to read about them and witness them all get their happily ever afters.
4.5 Poison Apples
I loooooove this family!!!! I’m sad that it’s the end of the series but I’m glad that it was closed out with one of my favorite Parker men. In all the other books I’ve always loved Trevor and in this book my love for him grew even more. We get to see how far back he and Scarlet actually go. We get to see a side of him that I always knew it was there with the way he was in the other books. Even though Scarlet had issues with insecurities because of his past she was still awesome. She was not the little mouse I thought she was from previous books, lol. Miss Scarlet had a backbone and not to be messed with.
This story started out with them struggling and apart but when things start to clarify Trevor fought hard for his woman. Scarlet didn’t let him back in easily which I liked. He had some real proving to do and boy did she make that boy sweat, lol. Scarlet I felt sorry for because her parents weren’t the most affectionate people but she had the Parkers. There was a secret that came out that shocked me but also answered many questions. There was an incident between Trevor and Scarlet towards the ending that had me in tears. Trevor stole my heart again in this moment; he was so strong and there for her. Then things were back to normal again.
The Parker clan were still freaking funny and all the additional grandkids were priceless, lol. I hate to see this family go but I seriously hope that the second generation get their own stories. It will be hilarious!!!! The epilogue?!?! Lol priceless!!!
Oh, how I hate this was the last book about the Parker family. They have by far been my favorite family that Kelly Elliott has written about and my favorite series. They were easy to fall in love with and I love the family dynamics of the Parker’s. This story is all about Scarlet and Trevor and boy, do they have a beautiful story. I felt a connection with this book that I normally don’t feel but found myself with so many emotions. I normally don’t have emotions like that, but it is the perfect kind of book to read to fall in love with a couple and their story. Trevor might just be the best Parker brother of them all. Amazing story and super excited and surprised by the epilogue.
The Parker Family, man I adore the crap out of them. I was so ready for this book but at the same time so not ready. I’m never ready to say goodbye. But I needed Trevor and Scarlett’s story. And boy did we get it. It took Trevor awhile but he finally pulled his head out of his butt and when he did, omg! He became the man I knew he could be. And Scarlett, she’s the sweetest and honestly most patient. These two are a force to be reckoned with. You’ll laugh and cry but most importantly you’ll fall in love. The Parker family is one of my favorites that is for dang sure!
I had so many emotions going into Reckless Love. Not only is it the final book in the Cowboys and Angels Series, but it’s also one of my most anticipated reads. The bar was set high and Kelly Elliott does not disappoint!!
Scarlet and Trevor’s story is one that I have been just dying for. The pull between the two of them was off the charts. You could tell that they had feelings for one another, but something always went wrong. When it came to Scarlet, Trevor just couldn’t get it right. He was so afraid of handing over his heart and having it destroyed. When it comes to love and feelings, Trevor has always been a bit reckless. He’s never let anyone get close….well, until Scarlet. Scarlet is the game changer that will turn his whole world upside down. Will Trevor take a risk on love and the woman he wants more than his next breath? Or will he let fear take over and blow the best thing that would ever happen to him??? There’s only one way to find out…..
Reckless Love had me hooked from page one. I was instantly and totally consumed by Scarlet and Trevor’s story. I loved the angst and the pull, the will they /won’t they moments. Scarlet was so brave. Her whole world changed in a matter of minutes and soon she would discover that it wasn’t only her she had to worry about anymore. She had been hurt time and time again by Trevor and I honestly couldn’t wait for Trevor to wake up and see what was right in front of him. So many times, I wanted to just knock him upside his head and shake him. He kept messing up and I just wanted him to open his eyes and take the risk!! You could tell that feelings ran deep for both of these characters and I really liked how Scarlet made Trevor work/prove himself to her. She didn’t just jump right in and forgive instantly. And I just loved watching Trevor fight for the one woman who could bring him to his knees and own his heart.
Reckless Love is a fabulous read from beginning to end. I fell in love with Scarlet and Trevor and couldn’t help but devour their story. I loved the sense of family and getting to catch up with all the previous characters. I really enjoyed seeing everything come full circle and getting closure on each and every character from this series. From good times to bad, from sexy to heartbreaking, this book had it all. Reckless Love took my emotions on one thrilling yet wild ride and I loved every single second of it. I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters, but at the same time am excited to see what this author will have in store for us next and I have a feeling that this won’t be the last that we’ll see of these characters….that’s my hope anyways. I hope you’ll enjoy Reckless Love and The Cowboys and Angels Series just as much as I have.
And the last Smurf has joined the pack!!!!!
What a fabulous ending to a spectacular series!!!! As sad as I am that the series is over, I am so happy we finally got Trevor’s story. Ms. Elliott’s Parker clan has wedged it’s way into my heart in such a way that I won’t soon forget them and imagine I will reread these stories as often as I go back and visit the Wanted gang, which is quite often!
Trevor and Scarlett’s story was beautiful and sad and perfect and hott and….. lol… I just loved these two, I loved how strong Scarlett was, how she made Trevor work with all he had to get her back. In true Parker fashion, Trevor shines, once he realizes what an “eejit” he has been, he does everything in his power to win Scarlett’s heart. I thoroughly loved being on the sidelines watching it all happen and just taking it in.
I absolutely loved being back with these characters and watching these two come together. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I am leaving with a very happy and full heart. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Elliott has in store for us next.
I have been a huge Kelly Elliott since I read Wanted and fell in love with her sexy cowboys. Elliott never fails to deliver a sweet romance full of sweet, swoony heat that will keep you coming back for more every single time.
This entire series has been absolutely amazing, and with each new book it just gets better. I have loved the playboy Trevor from the beginning.and I have been dying to get my hands on his story. So my expectations for this one was high. Boy did Elliott ever knock it out of the park. Trevor is my new favorite BBF!
I think everyone was a bit upset with Trevor for his antics in book 6, but when he finally decides what he wants and goes for it, well sweet Scarlet doesn’t stand a chance.
I highly recommend this series! I didn’t think any series could beat out Wanted but this one has worked its way into my heart, and Reckless Love has ended it perfectly! I cannot wait to go back and reread all of them!
As much as I wish this series never had to end, I can’t think of a more perfect ending than Trevor and Scarlett’s story. I’ll admit I was one of the ones who’d been screaming at Trevor in previous books and wanting to shake some sense into him, but holy moly does Kelly Elliott know how to redeem a man! I cried as many tears from happiness as I did from heartbreak reading this. I also had quite a few moments of hysterical laughter which is pretty typical when it comes to the Parker family.
I think Trevor and Scarlett have had the rockiest of all the relationships in this series. With Trevor running scared of his feelings for quite a while and Scarlett’s heart being broken every time there was a good bit of groveling this cowboy needed to do. But no one can sweep a woman off her feet like one of the Parker men and before I knew it I was #TeamTrevor and cheering him on. Even with the past these two had the love Trevor has for Scarlett leaps off the pages and steals your heart!
So many things happen in this book that make it unputdownable! Epic romance, heartwarming family, deeply moving emotion, and serious laughs are on every page keeping you hooked.
Oh man I loved this series!!! I’m definitely going to miss them but hey we can always do rereads right?
Trevor is let’s go with a bit of a man whore and it’s definitely not a secret in town. He’s a good guy deep inside but he has reasons for the way he is with women. Well he thinks he has good reason. Thanks to family though he’s beginning to see the error of his ways especially when it comes to Scarlett.
I love Scarlett, she’s beautiful inside and out and she’s going to make Trevor prove that he’s changed. She’s not just going to jump right in and be like hey it’s ok that you were a butt head.
When two people are in love but one is scared is there anything the other can really do until the scared one decides that love has been the answer all along?
I never thought I could love another Parker brother but boy has Trevor won first prize. He was the baby of the family and the biggest player of them all, but he never thought the girl that rocked his world back in school would be the one to claim his heart years later. Trevor and Scarlett have such a story to tell. They have bumps in the road but this story will have you laughing,.swooning and maybe a tear or two. I will say I hate for this series to end, its that amazing.
I have truly enjoyed this series so far and was both excited and dreading this book. Excited because I wanted this story and dreading because I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to this family. This book made me chuckle and shake my head and I even teared up a time or two. Overall, I enjoyed this book.
This book is not a standalone-at all. If you haven’t read the others go back and read your way through the series; I am sure you won’t regret it. But don’t start here!
I really liked Scarlet. I appreciated how she worked through things on her own and that she held her ground on some things. She’s done playing around with Trevor and waiting for him to come to his senses.
I was worried about Trevor. After reading the other books I wasn’t sure if I could fall for him. But I did. He wound up winning me over and showing me some growth and maturity. He earned my respect in this book for sure.
Scarlet and Trevor definitely have chemistry, it’s just a matter of Trevor growing up and getting over his fear of commitment. I liked his progression throughout the book and I understood Scarlet’s feelings on it as well. I loved seeing their journey towards happy ever after; because it was definitely a journey. These two had their work cut out for them and they rose to the occasion.
As with all the other books in this series we did get to see all of the rest of the Parker clan as well. Seeing how this was the last book in the series I fully expected that. I will say there was a bit more of the rest of the family in this book and I think they almost overshadowed Scarlet and Trevor at times. I love them, don’t get me wrong, but I did want a tiny bit more of just Scarlet and Trevor together.
I am sad to see this series end, it’s one I’ll go back and reread (in order again 🙂 )This book made me laugh and gave me some teary moments and I overall enjoyed it. I recommend this book and this series.
Reckless Love is the seventh title in the Cowboys and Angels series. It’s a bittersweet, emotional ending to the Parker siblings finding their happy ever afters!
Trevor is a cocky, fun, flirtatious ladies man. He is definitely a character that will push your buttons, and have you going through a gamut of emotions. At times he made me angry, then frustrated, and then I literally wanted to slap some sense into him, but despite these unsavoury elements to his personality, he does redeem himself beautifully. When he shows his sweet, protective and fun side you just can’t resist falling in love with Trevor. Scarlett is his perfect match, she’s incredibly endearing, warm, giving, strong, resilient and forgiving.
Whilst the connection and chemistry between Trevor an Scarlett is undeniable, this pair really struggle to communicate and share their feelings, which results in a quite a messy and tumultuous relationship, which makes their relationship all the more realistic and relatable.
Reckless Love is an emotional, moving and endearing story with equal parts heat, heart and humor.
I adored the epilogue, and it’s left me even more eager for more of Ms Elliott’s writing.
After reading this book I am filled with a mixture of emotions. I loved every word in this book and was completely enthralled from start to finish. Kelly has seriously outdone herself with this one. I laughed, I swooned, I got angry at Trevor, I wanted to hug Trevor and she made me completely sob. Kelly wrote this one with her usual high level of emotions but this one had an extra layer to it. The emotions were real and raw and seeped off the pages.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend reading this book without reading the others in the series, you need to start at the beginning. You need to experience the stories from this Parker siblings yourself. Each of them had quite the eventful journeys to find their HEA’s.
Trevor has always been the eternal playboy of the Parker boys. He never commits and has a well earned reputation with the ladies. The only girl who has ever sparked anything in him is Scarlett, even from back when they were children.
I will love you Forever
After being the idiot he is with regards to Scarlett, it isn’t until he thinks he has lost her to another guy, that his feelings are forced to be something he acknowledges. He has to prove to her that his feelings are genuine before he loses his Forever girl.
What I loved most in this book was that even though Trevor started off running from Scarlett and his feelings, it ended up with him being the romantic one he embraced his feelings for Scarlett.
This was the perfect way to say goodbye to the Parker Family. This series has been my favourite from Kelly and I never thought she would surpass the Wanted series (as I love that one) but she did. After the epilogue (Which I loved) I am looking forward to what Kelly brings us in the future.

I am at tears seeing this beautiful series end but Kelly Elliott just WOW. Seeing Trevor through the Cowboys and Angels series we see a funny, charismatic and adventurous guy yet a total different Trevor here. The love he has for Scarlet is unreal yet just like his parents naturally. I loved how Kelly Elliott shows us how deep he is yet afraid of never seeing Scarlet. Readers though beware towards the end Trevor will make you root for him more and smile happily. Kelly Elliott throughout the series you brought the Parkers to life and cannot wait to see what you do with Chloe. Loved it still trying to come to grips how far the Parkers have come by.

AMAZING!!!!!
Trevor has liked Scarlett since they were in school, but he has never been one to settle down.
When they are older and start to get closer, he is still in the mind set that he cannot settle down and starts to push her away.
Scarlett is devastated when Trevor pushes her away but when she finds out something that will change both their lives, she is even more devastated.
Trevor is scared of his feelings for Scarlett but when he sees her getting close to someone else, he decides enough is enough and he needs to go after her once and for all. But when he finds out her secret it knocks him off kilter.
Can Trevor prove to Scarlett he is in it for the long haul this time and is not going to push her away again? Can Scarlett learn to trust Trevor again and how will she cope with the life changing news?
The final book in the Cowboys and Angels Series and first off you need to have read the previous books to fully enjoy this one, was I sad to see this series come to an end was I scared to pick this book up …hell yes but Kelly Elliott finished this brilliant series with a bang, I want to say she left the best for last but for me every book in this series is amazing they are all books I will read and listen to over and over again because I love the Parker family and their pet goats so much.
Trevor Parker was the brother everyone loves to hate, he may be living life in the fast lane he may be the playboy of the family but does that mean he’s not a romantic at heart ….
Scarlett had to make Trevor think she had moved on for him to get his finally act together and pursue the woman who stole a piece of his heart but that doesn’t mean the path to true love for this couple is easy, they have a few obstacles to manoeuvre before they find their HEA…..
This very talented author gave us just what was needed to bring this very successful series to a end, she gave us love, she gave us some tears and she gave has laughter because let’s be honest you can’t have a true Parker gathering without Patches the goat we have all come to love. Perfect ending to one of my favourite series of all time. Can’t wait to see where Kelly Elliott takes us next.
