The first time I kissed Scarlet, I knew I was in trouble. The night I slept with her, my life changed forever. The day I found out I was going to be a father, I ran from her. Now that I’ve been given a second chance I won’t be so reckless. Will my love be enough to prove to her that even in the darkest times I won’t repeat the past?
Don’t miss!
If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, I would recommend you do so first as I believe you will get more enjoyment out of Reckless Love.
I dreaded reading this book, as I knew it was the final book in the Cowboys and Angels Series. However, I also knew that it was going to be a fabulous book.
I have been waiting so patiently for Trevor’s story and it was so worth the wait. Scarlet was certainly the right woman for Trevor.
Every book in the series has been better than the previous one and I love the Parker family so much. Trevor and Scarlet’s story will tug at your heart. My heart almost broke for Scarlet at times and Trevor, well I just wanted to deck him.
Kelly Elliott writes strong characters and she is not afraid to show their flaws, I think it is this that makes her books so special.
Trevor was always going to be the Parker man to fall the hardest and fall he did. Reckless Love had me engrossed from the first chapter to the last and lived up to my expectations in every way.
This was one of those books I wanted to take slowly, particularly because I knew it was the final book in the series and yet I found myself riveted and saying to myself, just one more chapter until I finished.
Reckless Love was a beautifully written, romantic story and one I highly recommend. Congratulations Ms. Elliott, a fitting end to one of my favourite series.
The end of a legacy!
I was so angry with Trevor from about book 3 to probably 25% of Kelly Elliott’s last novel about the Parker family. Lord have mercy though, when that boy quit playing and got serious, he did it RIGHT!
I was probably just as frustrated with Scarlett, but the feelings were entirely different. I understood her pain, and fear, but watching the lack of communication and then miscommunication between the two of them was just heartwrenching!
Kelly Elliott did an amazing job with Reckless Love! I laughed so hard at the Parker brothers and sisters, Chloe’s antics with Patches, and Aunt Vi’s hilarious outspoken nature. I cried with Scarlett and Trevor so many times, and she slayed it with the epilogue!! One of my favourite books of 2020 for sure!!

Reckless Love is the last book in the Cowboys and Angels series written by the talented Kelly Elliot. I’m so sad that this is the final book in the Cowboys and Angels Series, but also so excited to finally read Trevor Parker story, Kelly Elliott does not disappoint!! Reckless Love is Scarlet and Trevor’s story. This story line has it all; amazing and charming characters, family banter, drama, fun, passion, a roller coaster of emotions, lots of babies and a second chance romance. This book really makes you cry so I recommend a box of tissues and a glass of wine. LOVED IT! A heartwarming story, a must read!!!
I love everything Kelly Elliott writes! You get lost in her stories and never want them to end! <3
5 “Gummy Bear” Stars
This is the last book in the Cowboys and Angels series and I’m sobbing. The Parker family has burrowed themselves deep in my soul and I don’t want to give them up. I want them to be real and adopt me into their wild and crazy family lol. After Cord and Maebh’s book, I could not wait for Trevor and Scarlett. I knew their story would be one for record books.
Trevor is the youngest male Parker, and probably the biggest player of them all. Who knew underneath all that he also had one of the biggest hearts to love and be loved. Yes, there were times I wanted to punch him in the balls and tell him to get his head out of his a$$, but in the end he redeems himself so much so that I couldn’t help but love him a little more than the others. I loved the strength that Scarlett exudes throughout the story, and her only weakness seems to be Trevor Parker. Their chemistry is undeniable and when faced with near heartbreaking loss, I fell in love with Trevor just a little more.
I absolutely loved visiting with the loud and craziness that is the Parker clan. The whole growing family is once again present and you can definitely count on there to be a lot of love, laughter, and Patches shenanigans. And that epilogue! Kelly Elliott I want to hug you so hard woman! I can’t wait for what’s to come! Squeee! If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the Parker family, you need to do so ASAP! Start from the beginning because they are not standalones.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
I absolutely loved Reckless Love, the last book the Cowboys and Angels series, by Kelly Elliott! I could not put it down and I loved every page. It was an especially bittersweet book, because I knew it was the last book in the series and I have come to love the Parker family. Each book in the series keeps getting better and better and Reckless Love is one of my favorite books in the series. Who doesn’t love big families, cowboys and love stories? Kelly Elliott has once again proven that she is an incredible story teller. I love that she writes her stories in the person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. Reckless Love is filled with broken hearts, secrets shared and discovered and heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. I truly love the lighter moments of Reckless Love where I found myself smiling and laughing. My favorite moments are the ones that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Reckless Love is filled with such moments and so much more. Reckless Love is a first love story between Scarlett Littlefield and Trevor Parker. Scarlett and Trevor have known each other since middle school and Scarlett was Trevor’s date for his family’s most recent spring fling reception. Scarlett is the daughter of Melanie Parker’s best friend. After the spring fling Trevor continues to hook up with Scarlett whenever he’s in the mood. After a reckless night together, Scarlett gets pregnant. Trevor begins seeing Scarlett hanging around with Eric, the chef at Aisling. Eric wants to be more than, friends but Scarlett wants to just be friends. After spending so much time with Scarlett recently, Trevor realizes that he has feelings for her, but Scarlett continues to see Trevor with other women and is hurt by his actions, not realizing that he has only be with one other woman since the spring fling. Trevor finds out that Scarlett is pregnant when Eric accidentally blurts it out in front of all the Parker siblings. Trevor wants to be in his child’s life and begins spending more time with Scarlett. They each admit that they have both been in love with each other since they kissed before their senior year of high school. They move into together and begin preparing for this baby. I love that Scarlett befriends all the Parker women, Waylynn, Amelia, Paxton, Maebh, Corina, and Harley and how she shares the news of her pregnancy with Maebh and Amelia. I love how Trevor and Scarlett depended on their faith in God to get them through the unexpected plot twist, and how this strengthened their relationship. Once again, my favorite part is Chloe and Patches and how everyone plots together so that Patches will not attend any wedding. I love the Oak Springs setting and the descriptions that Kelly uses makes me want to visit and hang out with the Parkers. Another favorite part is how Trevor reacted when his brothers informed him that he was “smurfed”, he was happy. My favorite parts were Trevor’s conversations that he had with his parents, Melanie and John when they found out that Scarlett was pregnant. I especially loved that Melanie reminded him what he said to Scarlett when they were eight-years-old and she had fallen and gotten hurt. Once again Kelly Elliott writes about strong, beautiful women and hot, sexy men, I love all her characters, especially when big families are included. Who doesn’t love reading a story about lovers that are willing to give love a second chance? Reckless Love is filled with the bittersweet and poignant moments and the surprise plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Kelly Elliott’s stories. She truly did not disappoint with Reckless Love. I love the cast of characters in Reckless Love. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? Reading Reckless Love feels like a family reunion, because the reader gets to catch up with the other characters in the series. So happy that Scarlett and Trevor got their happily ever after, and that loving Scarlett changed him. My favorite part was the proposal and the story behind Scarlett’s engagement ring. I love Melanie’s scheming got them together. It was such a wonderful surprise ending! I love that Kelly Elliott incorporated both the cover photo and the book title into the story. I love that this epilogue takes place years later, when Chloe is graduating from high school and getting ready to head off to college. I love that Chloe and Rip will get their love story in the first book of the Southern Bride series. I also love the Play List that Kelly Elliott includes in the all her books. Reckless Love is another wonderfully written story in the Cowboys and Angels series and I loved every moment. Highly recommend this beautifully written incredible love story.
Absolutely love this series! Very well written and keeps you hooked into each book! The characters and their stories all flow into each book. You’ll definitely fall im love with their stories! Love it and highly recommend!
LOVED this book and this series. So sad to have it end. I had to grab tissues a few times while reading. I’m glad that Kelly left Trevor for last.
Saved the best/baddest for last!! I am so in love with this series… and it is OVER!!! I’m sure we will be seeing more of the Parkers!!! This series cannot be read as standalone books, that is your warning. The 7 books in this series were all read in one day, the anticipation killed me to get to the end of each book!!
This book, what to say about Trevor, he is a jerk, plain and simple. He always wanted her, but never let her know. He tried to drown his feeling in other women, but that never worked. That saying “You don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone” rings true in this book.
The emotions that ran a much from page to page, had me laughing, crying and wanting to throw my kindle at Trevor’s head!!! Loved everything about this book.

DNF. The prologue started with Trevor and Scarlet reconnecting at a party during their college years. They had known each other growing up. They hit it off, ended up talking for hours at a diner, kiss, and then Scarlet leaves the next morning to return to college. The first chapter starts several years later when they are having sex but are not in a committed relationship. Scarlet gets pregnant and is understandably upset because she finds Trevor messing around with a stripper. That is pretty much when I stopped reading.
There’s absolutely no energy put into the development of the main characters relationship. The book jumps from a short prologue to the characters already being in a situation with an unplanned pregnancy. Trevor the anti-hero is a manwhore and a jerk. There’s nothing redeeming about him. Then there’s this random guy named Eric who decides, after like two weeks, that he’s in love with Scarlett and wants to raise her baby as his own. He’s there to antagonize Trevor at every turn. There’s also a gaggle of characters from previous books that insert themselves into Trevor’s and Scarlet’s business.
It was all kind of cringe worthy to me.
Loved it
Reckless Love
I’m not crying you’re crying.
I can’t believe this is the end! The final book oh gosh.
Trevor final brother to get his happy ending, womaniser, a piece of s# I was so angry with him.
He made Scarlett suffer so much, that I was reading like a crazy woman, but Kelly made us love him so deeply, that my heart broke for them.
The journey to HEA sometimes is no easy, but it is worth it.
Reckless Love was unique book in some ways, intense, emotional, the lovemaking Oh Lord and all the kids and couldn’t stop reading till the end.
Kelly, you’re a fantastic writer, and every time I’m surprised by your creative brain, please keep going, these stories are food for our souls.
Cowboys and Angels will be forever in my heart.
All the Stars.
Reckless Love by Kelly Elliott is exactly what I have come to expect from this incredible author!
Whenever I see a new book from Kelly Elliott, I know that I am going to be instantly picking it up, and devouring it. This novel was certainly no different from what I expected. This novel had so much emotion packed into both the storyline, and the characters. While reading this novel, my heart was ripped from my chest, then subtly, and all at once was put back together again. Kelly is a master at making readers fall in love with her characters. She makes them relatable in a way that no matter what the plot line of the story is, everyone will be able to connect to them in some way or another.
I absolutely loved Reckless Love, and will definitely be purchasing the book in paperback as soon as I can. I urge everyone to go and grab this novel for themselves, it certainly won’t disappoint.
5/5 Stars!
Second Chances, and Making The Most Of Every Moment.
Let me say first, if you haven’t read the first book in this series do not start with this book.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, if you haven’t started the series yet WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR????!!!! The entire series is amazing, and the author finishing it up with Trevor’s story was the PERFECT icing on the cake.
Family values and unconditional love flows throughout Trevor and Scarlett’s beautiful journey. The support and love shown to this couple by their family and friends was heart warming. The series ending is a bittersweet moment, but the Parkers will live in my heart forever.
The Chloe and Patches scenes alone were hysterical; throw in the antics of the other family members…….PRICELESS!!!!!
it was amazing
I never have been so upset to see a series end. But I am with this one.
Trevor and Scarlett’s story is a must read!!!! There is so much I want to say about this book! Let’s start with the way Kelly told the story. She did it so perfectly. This is the 2nd book in this series that effected me on a very personal level. And like I said Kelly did an amazing job with it…
Thanks Kelly
Where do I even begin with this book?? After meeting Trevor in the previous books I couldn’t decide if I wanted to throat punch him for his assholery ways or smoother him with love! Trevor and Scarlett’s story was an emotional journey that had me crying, laughing and crying some more. It was so hard to put this book down because I was so spellbound by the storyline. The relationships between all these characters, family and friends is truly special and humbling with the way the lean on each other for support and strength. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend starting from the beginning because each book is one of a kind!
Wow! I am so sad to see this series end, but it totally went out with a bang! Scarlett and Trevor were amazing! I wasn’t sure that I would be able to love Trevor as much as I did the other boys in this series, but Kelly completely changed my mind! Reckless Love has all the heart and heat you have come to expect from this author! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
4.5 Stars
I have loved the Parker family and the Cowboys and Angels series. Watching all of the people find their one and fall in love. For many of them it was a growing experience.
Trevor was probably the one that had to do the most to change his ways. Don’t get me wrong, he is a hard worked and focused on the success of the farm, his loyalty to his family and siblings is outstanding. But for some reason, Trevor has never truly let a woman in any further than his pants. He was quite happy to live life just the way he was, not looking for a relationship, or companionship beyond his family. That was of course until this one girl who had always made him feel just a little bit different.
Scarlett spent much of her life away from the small town as a child, sent away to boarding school, then on to college out of town, but somehow she was still always drawn back here. She knew that she was setting herself up when she let Mrs. Parker set her and Trevor up for the spring dance. There has been a part of her that has crushed over Trevor since that night long ago that they went for coffee and he kissed her. Will she be able to just accept what Trevor is willing to give her or will her heart get involved where is isn’t wanted.
When life makes some choices for them, they are pushed to make some choices for themselves. Can Scarlett get past the hurt that Trevor has caused her heart these past months? Is he really sticking around for her or because he feels obligated? Is it possible they have found their one and the key to their HEA?
I love how Ms. Elliott always makes me feel like I am there, part of the family with the inside scoop, sharing in their emotions both sad an happy, falling a little bit more in love with everyone. Trevor and Scarlett’s story was heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I was cheering them along while she forced him to slow down and prove to her he could do this, all the while they were both secretly wanting to rush to the finish line.
Sad to see the Parker family go but excited to see what she will bring us next.
