”Sweet, funny, romantic and oh so very sexy! Prepare to swoon mightily.” —SAWYER BENNETT, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Cold Fury Hockey seriesCOLLIN MONTGOMERYBetween boot camp and two TOD’s in Iraq, my buddies Max, Gavin and me have been through some serious hell. So the last thing I ever expected was to find the biggest challenge of my life back home. My girlfriend … find the biggest challenge of my life back home.
My girlfriend died. I couldn’t even attend her funeral, let alone tell her goodbye or that I’m sorry I wasn’t there like I should’ve been.
But she left me a gift. The best and scariest one I could’ve ever asked for. One I didn’t think I could handle…until the day I saw her tiny blues looking up at me in that airport. Chloe.
Now here I am, raising my baby girl—with the help of my two best friends. Things couldn’t be better. Until she walked into my life.
All I wanted was a nanny. Someone to take care of my girl when I couldn’t. What I didn’t count on was Addison, the brown-eyed temptress with a body of sin, and everything I didn’t need, but suddenly wanted.

Heather can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned. This book is sexy, funny, and I fell in love with the characters.
Great
A great beginning to this series of books. It makes you realize that finding love is not always easy. But the writing pills you in.
Collin left behind the woman he loved to become a marine and serve his country, little did he know he was also leaving a child behind too. While he is fighting overseas his girlfriend lost her life, and it killed him to not be able to attend her funeral and say goodbye, but duty called. Once he arrived home he got the surprise of his life, he had a nine month old daughter waiting for him, which meant he had a whole new mission ahead of him, being a single, first time father, which was completely overwhelming, lucky for him though he had the support of his friends. Caring for his daughter is his number one priority, as well as work, and keeping a roof over their head, and for the most part they are getting along fine, but he’s finally ready to admit they might need a little help. So, he reluctantly decides to search for a nanny to step in and help out a little when he can’t be with his daughter, and he finds Addison, she soon becomes the perfect fit for their busy and sometimes chaotic lives. And before long things start to feel more than perfect, and he finds himself wanting to make Addison a permanent fixture in their lives… but is he really ready to risk his heart again?
This was my first experience with Ms. Van Fleet’s work, and I have got to say that I was extremely impressed with what I discovered between the pages of this captivating read. I love stories that come equipped with strong alpha male characters, and Collin was about as alpha as they come, he had my heart from the get go!! The chemistry brewing between these two was evident from their first encounter, and the anticipation of them finally letting everything around them go for just a moment and finally giving into their desires had me dangling on the edge of my seat… and bracing for one heck of a explosion…and oh my was it well worth the wait! I seriously loved everything about this one, it had everything you could possibly want in a story; an addictive story line sure to give you the feels, well crafted characters with smoldering chemistry, and plenty of toe curling romance that will leave you in dire need of a fan!! Highly recommend!!
3.5 stars! This was a fun, entertaining read with some sweet and sexy mixed in.
Not my type of romance. Romance builds it does not include “humping” someone with their clothes on. I deleted it at about 50%. The “nanny” was still a “friend” and was not hired or working as a nanny. Just too much sexual content and both main characters had so many personal issues that everything they said or did became a personal attack on the other one. Really disappointing.
This was the first book I’ve read by Heather Van Fleet and I don’t know if it will be the last. This book was … okay … it didn’t blow my skirt up but it kept my attention for the most part.
I think that my biggest beef with this one was how damn cheesy I thought that it was. There was an abundance of eye rolling going on on my part when I was blowing through this one. And it wasn’t just a couple of times. This started at the beginning of the book and went straight through to the end. So I guess it’s a good thing that it’s so consistent? I don’t know. It also wasn’t just either words OR actions. It was both. From both main characters but mostly from Collin. He’s this single father veteran and he is corny as hell. It made it difficult to take him seriously with what he was thinking and saying. He’s the kind of guy that would try to pick up a chick at the bar with, “Do you have a map? Because I’m getting lost in your eyes.” Gag me.
While Collin is described as a cute guy, these kinds of words and actions instantly make him a freaking weirdo. Then that makes it difficult to see what Addison sees in this apparently desperate loser. Why should I root for Addison to like this dude when I can’t stand him myself?
It wasn’t a BAD book … the premise was interesting … Collin and his two buddies raising Collin’s daughter but the cliche way in which he acted and talked just totally tanked the book for me. Not to mention how the book completely missed its natural ending about 5 times, in my opinion. It could have had a super clean ending 50-75 pages sooner but these new conflicts kept conveniently popping up and then the characters would have to work through that crap. I’m telling you, this author could have made a ten book series just out of Collin and Addison. It is what it is. Not my favorite for the year but not the worst either.
