From International Bestseller Michelle Horst, comes a new, sexy novel in the Enemies To Lovers series.I was in love with the boy. I’m obsessed with the man. Logan is my older brother’s best friend. My teenage years were spent dreaming about our future together. He taught me how to kiss. He stayed up late with me while I studied. He escorted me to the prom. But he is one of the Screw Crew, and …
But he is one of the Screw Crew, and they only have one rule. I’m off limits.
I went to college, and he started working. The secret messages stopped, and I lost my first love before it even had a chance.
I’ve spent the past four years trying to forget the only man I’ll ever love. Just as I start to make a life for myself, guess who comes barging back into my life?
This is book #2 in the Enemies To Lovers Series. Each book in the series is about a different couple. To get the full experience of their friendship, I’d recommend that you start with Heartless.
Reading Order:
Heartless – Carter & Della
Reckless – Logan & Mia
Careless – Jaxson & Leigh
Ruthless – Marcus & Willow
Shameless – Rhett & Evie

The sweetest twin definitely had me swooning! Logan and Mia!! What can I say… the twists of this book definitely kept me on edge. And I absolutely loved Logan’s protectiveness. Another couple I have fallen in love with completely. Still obsessively addicted to these Screw Crew hotties!
Wow what a sweet book that will capture your heart. This book is a sweet second chance at love that is amazing. I’ve not read the first book but this book is amazing will have you hooked from the first page. Michelle is a amazing writer and I always have a hard time putting her books down.
“My insides are quivering with nerves and I can feel my hands shaking. My heart is beating so loudly it’s all I can hear.”
This is a story about loving your brother’s best friend and reuniting with the one who got away. Its the second book in the Enemies to Lovers series but could also be read as a standalone. In order to get some background to the series, I do recommend reading Heartless before this one.
Being Rhett’s little sister Mia has always been off limits. Logan has always walked a thin line with that rule. He was her first kiss and first love. Unfortunately life takes them on different paths and she loses touch with him, but some connections withstand the trails of time.
“Even though we haven’t had contact for so long, I still love him. I think everybody has that one person they never stop loving. Logan is my person.”
Mia is lonely, strong and determined to make it in her own. She is a hard worker but is unsure where her future should lead. Logan is a sweet, caring and swoon worthy. Their love is sweet and passionate love.
The Screw Crew is back, however they have all grown up a lot and are more responsible. I love the interaction between all of the characters and getting teased with little bits of their stories. I’m excited for the next book but the wait for Marcus’s book will possibly kill me. I’m on the edge and I need it NOW!!!
“I love listening to your heart beat. I like to think it’s the rhythm of our love.”

Rhett, Logan, Marcus, Jaxon, Carter all made a screw crew list not expecting it to back fire on them?
Mia has lost contact with her brother & his friends thinking they cut her out of their lives but Logan gets worried can they find her?
Emotional story thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
These are all standalone books & the characters are great friends I’m looking forward to reading Jaxon’s story book 3 “Careless”
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Definitely worth reading
Recklessly love this book! 5 stars
This book had me sobbing and smiling, and I loved every minute of it! This is a brother’s best friend and friends to lovers romance between Logan and Mia. They had the same more-than-friends feelings for each other, for different reasons, but neither of them said or did anything about them. Then some things happen out of their control, and they lose contact with each other. I can’t say more than that without giving away spoilers. After finding out how and why these things happened to Mia, I was gutted and sobbing like she was. After I thought Logan and Mia (and me) had recovered, another twist happened and I was sobbing again. But Logan and Mia’s love won out over everything which left me smiling, and it was beautiful and heart-warming to read. This was an emotional roller-coaster of a book that I recklessly loved. I recommend it, and now I can’t wait to read the next book/couple!
Logan and Mia’s story is beautifully written. Reckless is filled with drama, suspense, heartache, love and a family bond like no other. Gosh, that ending!!! Have a box of tissues nearby. I can’t wait to dive into the next book.
This book is better that the first book in the series, but it comes with a warning that tissues are required. Heartless was a great intro to the series, Reckless delved deep down and brought all the dirt up. There are many illusions, things aren’t always as they seem, people can be deceptive and keep secrets.
I love the storyline in this book, these guys are the best. They are an amazing brotherhood, a family born from mateship not blood. If they were able to move heaven on earth they’d do it. I love the emotional value and that these men are happy to openly show their emotions whether it’s anger, frustration, humour, laughter or tears. They be the called the screw crew but this crew is about to be screwed.
Oh wow! This book really pulls at the heartstrings.
Mia has loved Logan for years now. She’s never had the courage to tell him how she feels…
Years have gone by with him moving away…
By chance they’re reunited…
Can she finally tell him how she feels?
Love this series. It was great getting glimpses of what is happening with the characters from Book 1 too. Can’t wait to read more
I guess I’m in the minority again, but this story didn’t work for me. It was far too rushed. One minute she’s feeling abandoned by Logan and her brother’s crew, the next she’s back, she’s forgiven them (although there wasn’t a lot to forgive considering they didn’t do anything wrong other than create that stupid Screw List), and she and Logan are saying their ILYs. Um no.
I just felt like Reckless was all flash and no depth. I am not sure I’ll continue this series, unless I hear that the next two are better.
Second book in the Enemies to Lovers trilogy, Reckless focuses on Logan and Mia. He’s one of ScrewCrew’s members, and she’s Rhett’s sister. In the first book, it is already implied that they like each other, and here we see the depth of these feelings. Mia was always in love with her brother’s friend, but her insecurities made her think she would never have a chance with a man like him. Logan was always there for Mia. He took her to the prom, helped her to study, spent hours with her, it was her first kiss. He has loved her for a long time. But he didn’t think it’s reciprocated.
The beginning of the book presents a certain mystery. Mia has no contact with the boys anymore. She dropped out of college, got a job that barely paid her bills and felt that she was abandoned, because even her brother does not talk to her anymore. When she happens to run into them in a bar, and they are stunned by her being in New York, all the hurt that Mia guards is dumped. We learn then that they have daily contact with her by email and text messages. Someone is pretending to be her. Mia was isolated from the boys on purpose, and someone took her place.
That’s the big twist of the book. The villain is easy to identify, but her motives were interesting. Disturbed, but interesting. Being used to reach the boys, Mia can not forgive everything that has passed. She does not accept that certain facts of her life were a lie because of the revenge. Moving away from the boys more and more, it’s up to Logan to finally have the courage and fight for the woman he loves.
Logan is wonderful. He has always loved Mia and venerates her. Now that he has a chance, he will not let her escape. I understood Mia, and her sadness with the facts that occurred. Important things have been “stolen” by revenge. Nothing is what it seemed. I felt sorry for her.
Their relationship is beautiful and romantic. Rhett who could be a problem, ends up surrendering to Logan’s love for his sister.
Although the couple was the main character in the book, I thought they ended up in the background. Marcus and his problem dominated the book. The reader becomes embroiled in the character’s drama, and will be eager for more details.
The book ends in a cliffhanger, which made me very curious to know how the story of Marcus will end. I loved Mia and Logan, but I missed the couple more attention. Now all you have to do is wait for the third volume.
Michelle Horst is an evil genius. She has yet again broke my heart and put it back together with the second installment of the Enemies to Lovers Series, Reckless. Although each is a stand-alone book I’d recommend you read book one to have a better understanding of all the characters.
This particular story is centered around Mia, everyone’s little sister, but the only one she sees is Logan. She has been in love with Logan for as long as she can remember. Although she never thought he could love her, he has always been the one to hold her heart. Now she is all grown up living in NY with no one to depend on but herself, but things are never how they seem. Once her unasked questions finally are answered they set her happily ever after ending into motion.
There was only one rule of the Screw Crew no one touches Rhett’s sister, but Logan has lived and breathed Mia for as long as he could remember. He has had almost all of her first and now he wants to be here forever. After losing touch for 3 years he has Mia back in his life and now he wants their happily ever after, the only problem is getting Rhett’s seal of approval.
Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster when reading this book. I laughed, cried, and even got angry while reading. Rest assured you will have an HEA by the end. Thankfully we already know book three is on the way!
I loved Heartless the first book in this series and when i saw Reckless coming out i just had to jump on board and see who the next story was about. As we met Carter and Della in the first one couldn’t wait to see what happens next in the Screw Crew.
What i was expecting was such heartbreak for one of them and i was so emotional with this story line. I don’t want to give anything away but my heart broke.
I felt so sorry for a Mia thinking that all these boys had left her and she was pretty alone. She was such a spunky character i really liked her and her determination.
Logan was a good character aswell and thought for being part of the Screw Crew he was really sweet and loving.
This is such an awesome second chance love story that really didn’t go anywhere to start with and then we get such intensity with this love story once they realised it should have gone somewhere
I loved all the story lines in this book and it keeps me hanging on for the next books in this series i can’t wait.
Oh my. This is so hard to rate because I got really emotional with of part this story. It’s no secret that the author is a great writer because I loved some of her previous books and she manages to touch me deeply with her words. So, I tell you what happened here…
I started reading this book and got confused right at the beginning because it moved so fast, I could not get young Mia out of my head and I pictured her most of the time as a teenage girl. And then everything happened seemingly all at once with her best friend, with her brother and with Logan. Maybe I’m getting old but my mind was spinning from all the events. I wish it would have slowed down because there was so much going on in this book but everything was rushed and some heavy topics just grazed and not dealt with properly. Maybe the author wanted to keep the story as ‘light’ as possible but I would have preferred for a few things to have more focus on instead of a ton of stuff just passing through, i.e. I didn’t believe how Mia easily dealt with what happened to her without really dealing with it; if you get what I mean. Anyway, also the thing with the cell phone numbers and how Mia reacted on it. I don’t need so many things happening to give me whiplash but I want an honest story that shows me how the characters deal with their problems in life and how they work through them. Sometimes it actually felt surreal.
Like I mentioned before, the beginning was confusing for me, with how Mia and her brother separated for a few years which felt like no time at all and how she and Logan – without any real history besides friendship through her brother – were head over heels in love after years of separation. They did not waste any time either and jumped right into EVERYTHING there could be.
And since I still kept picturing her as a young girl, because there was just no development of her character, I had a hard time liking how fast and easy her romance went.
Suddenly the story changed course and Mia and Logan weren’t in the center anymore. Although it was a bit strange to rush through their story and have other characters ‘take over’, I liked that we got more of the boys from the screw crew and no matter how sad it got later on, I enjoyed the chapters closer to the end more than the rest – which ultimately also changed my rating.
The writing was good and I liked a lot of the scenes separately but I can only repeat myself and say that it was too rushed and not enough elaborated.
No matter what, I will stick to the author because I know how awesome her books can be and I like her writing. I just wish she would focus more on one thing, although I know how hard it can be because my mind wanders all the time from one thing to the other. =P
” I love listening to your heartbeat; I like to think it’s the rhythm of our love.”
Heart-pounding transforms to a heartwarming emotional tear-jerker. I loved the tight knit closeness of the group of friends, the hysterical banter, and the deeply devoted love from all sides. Mia and Logan’s story was sweet and such a whirlwind, where I bounced between “Wow, that was fast.” and “It’s about time!!” The heartbreaking inclusion of another character added to the story enhanced their romance without overshadowing their tale. I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!

I don’t know where to start on this one.
I wasn’t fun of the first book of the series but I already bought this one so I thought to give it a go.
Let me tell you something else first before I continue with my review. I’m not a cry reader. I might well up and get a bit sad but knowing that these are fictional characters makes me “handle” the whole drama. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are books out there that will make me cry a river and that is exactly why I avoid them. I want my books to be light or angsty or suspensful or dark but with HEA. So, no matter what happens in the book, knowing that everything ends well keeps my eyes dry.
Now, this book.
I cried a river. I had to put my kindle down, grap a tissue and try not to sob and wake up my husband. I felt my heart breaking and I wanted to reach and hug each and every one of them. This time, nothing could stop the tears from falling.
The book is about Mia (Rhett’s sister) and Logan. Logan we met in the first book but this is the first time we meet Mia. Michelle Heart gave us a head’s up in Heartless that there is more than friendship between these two but because of the rule that Rhett put down-Mia is off limits-they couldn’t act on their feelings.
Time pass by, guys leave for NY and Mia finds her self alone without anyone to turn to. She tries to contact the boys but everybody is ignoring her, including her brother (or so she thinks) so she decides to go her own way. Years pass and when everybody accidentally meet in the same club they talk things through. They find out that Mia had the wrong phone numbers (strange since she was sure she added them corectly) and somebody was pretending to be Mia and answering to Rhett whenever he was contacting her (weird and creepy). After all things are resolved, Mia and Logan confess their feelings and finally get together while the whole group finds out that one of them is dying from lead poisoning.
Feelings….
The love story is solid. It’s sweet and heart melting. Logan is a book boyfriend material. He loved Mia since day one but respected his friend. He wouldn’t even kiss her for God’s sake unless he had her brother’s blessing cause he knew, once he did, he wouldn’t stop. Who does that you ask? Book boyfriends or a.k.a. Logan. They jumped into the deep end a bit early but I didn’t mind. The guys loved each other for many, many years and knew each other pretty well. Plus-and this is the gut wrenching part of the story- one of their best friend is dying and wants to see them together before he goes.
I’ll be honest. the full star rating is mostly not for the love story. It’s about the brotherhood. It’s about how really close these five people are. The Screw Crew. The people that aren’t embarassed to cry in frond of each other and share I love yous. The men that made me cry till my eyes were red and swollen.
And it’s about Marcus. Marcus the fighter. Marcus, the one with the list. Marcus the proud. Marcus who’s dying….
If you loved the first book, you probably read this one so you know how good it is. If you didn’t love the first one (and made it all the way to the end of my review) go ahead and give it a go. I think this book will change your opinion about this series. You have nothing to lose, especially since it’s on KU.
As for me, I’m beginning Careless.
The crew is back, if I enjoyed the first book in the series this one is even better, it was emotionally charged and full of angst . Logan the quite and serious attorney has been forever in love with Mia whose Rhett’s little sister. Where as Mia has a huge crush and is obsessed with Logan. Logan was my favorite and was looking forward to his story and this is so worth it and more, All the guys Carter, Jaxson, Logan, Rhett & Marcus have moved to New York . The story was written beautifully with so much emotion . It pulls you in as soon as it starts and is another page turner. The chemistry between Logan and Mia was undeniably off the chart and the bond between the guys and their friendship is still as strong as ever. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
When the boy that’s your high school crush becomes the man of your deams what’s a girl to do?
You fight it.
He’s her brothers best friend, he’s a part of the Screw Crew and she’s off limits.
Too bad the heart and the head don’t always agree.
Mia’s spent years confused as to why her brother and best friends would all stop contacting her. She’s on her own, and if they don’t want to be a part of her life she’ll do it all on her own. She drops out of school leaving her trust untouched and goes to work, struggles to keep up with the bills and keep a roof over her head.
Lucky for her she has a great friend willing to move across the country to help her out, to be there for her.
And then she runs into her brother and finds out things aren’t as they seem.
This is where things get tricky. Reuniting with family and those like family as well as the boy who stole your heart years ago, it’s alot to take in, add in the fact that someone intentionally is ruining her life and that’s just way too much for a girl to take on. But it’s her good luck that Logan is willing to do anything to protect her, to help her get her life back and more.
Logan may have joined the Screw Crew to be one of the guys with his best friends but it doesn’t mean it was what he truly wanted. He was warned off Mia from early on, but that doesn’t matter when the hearts involved.
A man who has been in love with his best friends sister for years, the sister who returns those feelings but there’s the best friend and brother to consider.
Logan & Mia stole my heart, I loved them from go. There is so much going on in this book, including a secondary characters who will rip your heart out. I’m almost afraid to know where it’s headed but I’m also dying for the next book to see what happens.
Reckless was an okay read for me. I had no idea what to expect since this is the first book I’ve read in this series. I think this book can be read as a standalone because it really wasn’t a hard book to follow and I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything by not having read the first book. The characters were likable even though I couldn’t connect with them. I didn’t feel the chemistry and love between Mia and Logan that I was hoping I would feel. There were some sweet moments between the characters but that’s all it seemed; sweet moments. The drama with Josie ended quickly and in the way I think it would have been better if they went their separate ways. It just seemed like unnecessary drama. This story was shorter than what I expected. I think it ended at 68% on my kindle before the excerpt from book 1. Jaxson and Leigh’s story is next in the upcoming book Careless and I’m honestly not sure if I want to read it. I think I expected more from this story and in the end it just ended up being an okay read.
This book kept me on an emotional roller coaster… wow! There were so many emotions in this book. Sadness, anger, happiness, and heartbreak. Logan and Mia were just the perfect couple! I loved how Logan wanted to let Rhett know the extent of his feels for Mia before they became serious. I also loved how Rhett gave his blessing but told him the ultimate decision was Mia’s. There was never any doubt what that answer would be in the end. I was so excited to read this story and once I got into it I just couldn’t put it down. I’m glad we got a glimpse at the other guys also. It was great catching up with Carter and getting a glimpse into what the next books may hold for us. This author has become a new favorite and I look forward to continuing on his Enemies to Lovers journey.
Ugly Cry
Total page turner! Its been a while since a book made me cry so much! I am completely in love with these characters. So heartwarming and soul-shattering at the same time. I have a special place in my heart for bad boys that love so completely. This series shows that blood isn’t what makes you family. It’s definitely a must read!
