Mia Kazmaroff has a gift nobody wants. She’s able to tell the story behind any object simply by touch. It’s a gift that comes in handy when her only brother, a detective with the Atlanta Major Crimes Division, is murdered. Determined to find his killer, Mia reaches out to the one person in Atlanta she believes can help her — Dave’s ex-partner, Jack Burton.
Unfortunately, Burton is also the … also the prime suspect.
Together, Mia and Jack create a partnership that breaks all the rules, skirts every law, and lobs as many sparks and landmines at each other as if they were adversaries–which half the time they are — all while attempting to ignore their undeniable mutual attraction.
Can two people so different — one intuitive and inexperienced, the other cynical and by-the-book — work together to solve the murder?
And can they do it before the killer turns his attention to Mia?

I was intrigued by the main characters, but frustrated by their flaws. Of course, when I reminded myself that we all have flaws, I relaxed and read on. I did not want to put this down until I finished, and then I immediately added book 2 to my reading queue. Some parts, like real life, not for the faint at heart.
I read this book a while back but did not remember doing so. It was just as good the second time and I had forgotten the “who done it.”
The characters were well developed in a way that made you care about them. This to me is very important. Though some of the characters were more one dimensional there were some of these I do wish had been …
One of the nicest things about reading is that you get to visit other places you have never been. One of the joys of this book is visiting Atlanta, GA. We have a protagonist/heroine who needs to be shaken for some of the stupid stunts she pulls. We have the guy she forces into starting a business with her. She rides rough-shod over him throughout …
A true “who done it!” I’m thoroughly impressed with this author! Each book I read from her has completely unique characters and complex plots. Reckless is no exception. I loved the main characters and the twists and turns.
Pleasantly surprised by this book. Her gift wasn’t outlandish—but plausible. Ready for book 2.
I can’t believe that Mia did so many stupid things and think it was normal or even legal. Other than that the story-line was good and kept moving along.
This book was a fantastic surprise
I really enjoyed it. Great story l look forward to reading the others in the series
Good read.
page turner.
The main character Mia seems intent on making wrong decisions while acting as a loose cannon. She doesn’t seems to learn from her mistakes.
Would not read more books as the heroian is tooooo stupid!!
I liked the concept and the idea that the burned out cop wanted nothing to do with her at first but got caught up in investigating his partners death. It got more and more engrossing as the story went on. Definitely a page turner.
Great read. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to get the next one and continue living Mia and Jack’s adventures.
