4.5 stars. Exciting conclusion to this trilogy. Don’t miss out on this series!
Receive was a great end to an action-packed trilogy. I loved the characters and the way the story ended.
*** I’m volunteering to review this arc ***
We left off with Kade being injured from the fight that happened at the retreat. Hadley left with two Stormers to deliver a message to the king. Kade’s captain sends him, his cuz and Hadley to find out who is behind the missing boys and Hadley’s brother. Kade, his cuz and Hadley learn something’s that may change there life’s forever. Will Kade take the job of being the captain of the Stormers? Will Kade and Hadley be able to be to get her? Will they find the Missing boys and Hadley’s brother? What will they learn?

Once again this one picks up just after Retreat, and tells the rest of Kade and Hadley’s story. I really enjoyed this one, and it might even bee on favorite in the series, but I really enjoyed this series as a whole! A YA Fantasy with a Dystopian type setting and feel, with a good dose of action, friendship, and romance that is more about love, and less lusty. I loved how this story is written, both the plot and the characters are complex and well written, the description is spot-on and makes it easy to imagine the story playing out as I read it.
This last book in the trilogy does a good job of tying up loose ends, and providing a satisfying conclusion to this exciting series! I really like how well all the pieces come together, and felt this story does a wonderful job of really showing us a closer look at the characters, both their good moments and those darker moments. The emotions and danger are ramped up, the risks and potential rewards are laid out, and some surprising twists make this one impossible to put down! (Well, the others were hard to put down, but I found once I started this, I needed to know what happens!) All in all, easily a favorite series!
This was a great way to wrap up the trilogy. The Story line was good, the character work was great, and the book had a smooth flow to it. Once again, I was entertained from beginning to end.

Loved it , loved it, loved it.
Oh did I say I loved it?
This concluding book of the trilogy was awesome. Action packed from start to finish and twists and turns you’ll never see coming. There were times when I was spellbound and other times when my heart was in my mouth. A definite emotional roller coaster ride. Amongst other things happening, Hadley completes her quest but you realise the adage that “ be careful what you wish for “ rings true.
The characters throughout the book again remain strong , as you would expect coming from the pen of Sarah. I shall miss them all and will have to revisit them at some point.
Please take the time to read this series. You won’t be disappointed, I certainly wasn’t.
This book was gold.
I’ve loved the trilogy up to Receive, but it is the icing on the cake for this trilogy. SOOOOO GOOD!! Was the most intense yet and absolutely LOVED the romance between Kade and Hadley. I was surprised at least twice by a turn of events and have to confess that I feel bad for thinking down on Carl. You see so much of his character and just had a big smile on my face with the overall ending (for everyone).
I do want to highlight one thing that I super appreciated about this story though. I thought it so fantastic that the author portrayed a realistic relationship between Kade and Hadley, but also one that I think shows what it means to also have a healthy relationship. It was obvious both wanted the other, but Kade would not let things go that far out of respect for Hadley (and Cester’s “stupid” rules). Does that mean things were easy? No. Yet they were both able to stay strong and found it to be simply awesome to see a romance that reflects the struggle and “reward” of waiting.
Overall, loved reading these characters. Loved the plot and the story. It was exciting, intense, and fun. I immensely enjoyed it and very sad to say goodbye. Good thing I can always reread because I know I wouldn’t mind doing so. 😉
