A timeless love story with bite.It was a night like any other for funeral home director Ginny Lynn, until the exceptionally handsome–and unfortunately deceased–young man on her embalming table sat up, opened his emerald eyes and changed the course of her lifeforever, making her feel quite fluttery while he was at it.Humans aren’t supposed to know Jonas Cantrell, or any vampire, exists. It’s … vampire, exists. It’s kind of a major rule. Despite his instantaneous bond with perfectly peculiar Ginny, he has no choice but to erase her memories of their one and only meeting.
That was the plan. Before a reluctant Jonas can wipe Ginny’s mind clean, she reveals a secret that brings their worlds crashing together. Human and vampire. Past and present. Darkness and light. And while their love is strictly forbidden, it might be the only thing that can save them…
Reborn Yesterday is a standalone paranormal romantic comedy with a happily ever after.

A fun paranormal romance, with a side of funny and sexy!
Did someone say paranormal romantic comedy? Yes, please! Tessa Bailey’s new release Reborn Yesterday promises to bring the feels, the laughs, and the love!
Before I jump straight into Reborn Yesterday and all its goody goodness, I have to say something. TESSA, I LOVE YOU! Is that creepy? Sorry, not sorry. She stepped out of her comfort zone and brought us a paranormal romance and it was fang-tastic. Once again – sorry, not sorry.
Reborn Yesterday dropped yesterday, but I was one of the lucky ones that received an ARC so that I can tell you people to READ IT NOW.
Ginny isn’t your average young adult. Since her father passed, she spends her nights in the morgue of her funeral home and her days avoiding her step-mother. The dead was better company anyway. When a handsome young gentleman gets rolled in, she can’t help but to daydream about his short life. And how unfair it is for someone that is as handsome as him to have had passed away so soon.
To Ginny’s surprise, her handsome stranger isn’t quite dead. But he definitely isn’t alive. Jonas Cantrell is taken aback by Ginny’s quirky sense-of-humor and finds himself breaking the rules to spend one night with her. Ginny doesn’t like that Jonas is so willing to say good-bye forever so she confides a secret. A secret only someone like Jonas can help her with.
Jonas vows to keep Ginny safe and find those who are trying to cause her harm. However, their feelings for one another is causing a whole other issue. If he keeps sticking around, Ginny won’t be the only one in danger. Vampires aren’t supposed to let humans know of their existence. He’s risking everything to save her.
I really enjoyed this lighthearted, comical, forbidden tale. Tessa really knows how to mix heavy with light to create a memorable story. I’d say her first attempt at a paranormal romance is a success!
Did you catch that this is a series!? Jonas’ roommate, Elias, and our favorite slayer, Roksana, will be the lovebirds in the next book. I’m sure Tucker’s story will soon follow it. And while I loved Tucker (aka: the vamp Uber), I love me a tortured hero. I have a feeling that Elias with be my favorite vampire!
I really hope you decide to give this one a try. If you do, please let me know. If you already binged it, let me know your thoughts below. Until next time —

What didn’t I love about this book?! Seriously, if I had to nitpick, it would be one thing and one thing only: There’s a line in the book where it points out that a vein in Jonas’s temple ticked, but how does Ginny make this observation if she’s blindfolded? Other than that, I was all in with this paranormal romance, and Ginny and Jonas were just so damned adorable together. Gah! I’ve read a lot of paranormal books–romance and otherwise–but it’s been a good, long while since I last read a vampire romance that truly held me interest from the beginning and then took a piece of my heart by the end. Well, until Tessa Bailey’s new novel, that is. I’m absolutely taken with the world she’s created and smitten with her formidable and noteworthy cast of characters. Not only did I fall in love with Ginny and Jonas and their story, but now, I’m beyond curious as to what awaits Jonas’s best friends and fellow vampires, Ethan and Tucker, and Roksana, slayer turned Ginny protector and bestie, as the series moves forward. Consider Ethan and Roksana’s book–as well as Tucker’s afterward–on my list of anticipated reads. I’m highly recommending Tessa Bailey fans and readers and lovers of paranormal romance check out Reborn Yesterday as soon as humanly–or inhumanly if that’s what you’d prefer–possible. This gets five-plus stars and is a 2020 favorite!
There are writers, and then there are writers, and Tessa Bailey is definitely the latter. Reborn Yesterday is Bailey’s first foray into paranormal romance, and she knocks it out of the park.
When funeral home director Ginny Lynn first lays eyes on Jonas Cantrell, he’s lying dead on her embalming table. That is, until his eyes open and he sits up. She cannily realizes that he is not quite alive, but very much undead. And she can’t imagine a life without him. Jonas Cantrell avoids humans for a reason. He knows he should wipe Ginny’s memory and get on with his night… but an inexplicable force draws him to her. When Ginny reveals something that Jonas can’t ignore, their fates become inextricably intertwined. The real question becomes, are they fated to be together, or fated to be apart?
I’ll preface my review by saying that I think that Bailey is one of the most talented writers out there, period. She has this compellingly adept way of dropping you right into the world that she has created and immersing you with characters who are interesting, flawed, and nuanced. In Reborn Yesterday you immediately feel the pull between Ginny and Jonas, and it doesn’t feel contrived or emotionally manipulative. It just IS. Ginny and Jonas feel like they could jump off the page and become a part of your life, supernatural elements notwithstanding. And that, my friends, is the sign of a great writer. Bailey’s ability to also create a wealth of supporting characters who feel as actualized as her protagonists is also a reason why I love reading her work.
Then, there are the sexy parts. The scorchingly sexy parts. The white hot, make you simultaneously blush/sweat, sexy parts. Bailey is a master of the love scene. Every sexy scene she includes in her writing forwards the plot and develops the characters in a major way. Nothing is superfluous, and everything feels earned. That is what makes the intimacy between Ginny and Jonas feel so genuine and so enthralling. It’s earned. Add in all of Bailey’s signature wit and humor, and you’ve got yourselves a darn near perfect novel. And if you don’t think that lines like, “Watching you two is better than pretending to be a lost virgin to bait vampires,” are genius, then I just can’t help you.
Add this to your TBR pile, yesterday (pun intended). Whether you like paranormal romance or not. Because it’s that good. You’re welcome.
This book gripped me from the beginning! Ginny is so quirky, unique and just fun. Jonas is brooding, possessive and Sexy! This story kept me captivated!

Tessa Bailey was a New-to-Me author until last summer.
I started the Beach Kingdom Series, and it was love at first page.
Enjoying so much an author’s writing is rare, and I saw myself enjoying each book, even a genre i never read before (M/M Romance), and I LOVED every minute of it.
Then I read Love Her or Lose Her, and since then, all her books are on my Wish list.
REBORN YESTERDAY was no exception.
I’m not a huge fan of paranormal romance, but with Tessa’s writing, it totally worked for me.
The pace, the characters, the plot, the heart/panties-melting….
This book has everything I enjoy in Romance, but I have to say, it was also so much more than what I expected.
It could seem a little on the “slow burn” side at the beginning, but the pace is perfect, really.
It’s a beautiful love story, almost poetical at times, and of course funny, sexy (I mean all the hotness you can expect from this author!!!), and you also meet characters you enjoy so much you already want to read their own story.
So yes, I really enjoyed this different side of Tessa Bailey.
Sweet/Hot, Angsty/Funny, the perfect mix, the perfect reading this weekend!
I’m really looking forward the other characters’ stories!

“Much to my surprise, not only was this novel a paranormal romance, but it also integrated comedic elements. So yes, all in all, we can say I was caught completely off guard by Reborn Yesterday. Except for one thing: Bailey’s addictive writing. Because that, friends, was perfectly on brand.” – The Bibliotheque
Paranormal and comedy at its best, loved it!
This was such an enjoyable read! A wonderfully unique paranormal romantic comedy that was plenty of fun with great characters, a gorgeous romance and captivating and engaging story. And that cover. Admittedly, it was the beautiful cover that drew me to this book, and I’m so glad I read it because this book was fantastic!
Reborn Yesterday is a quirky and original paranormal romantic comedy. It was a unique foray into a world of vampires that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I loved Ginny and Jonas to pieces and secondary characters were absolutely exceptional. I’m in desperate need of their stories! I quickly fell in love with every single character, and I’m fully invested in Tessa Bailey’s vampire world. I cannot wait for more of the Phenomenal Fate series.
A sexy, funny paranormal romantic comedy from Tessa Bailey. Um… yes, please!
You literally cannot go wrong with anything Tessa Bailey writes. SO GOOD!
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read a paranormal romance, and especially one with vampire elements. I was consumed with everything about this story and most of all with Ginny and Jonas.
I loved Ginny and all her quirks. She’s the funeral director of her family’s business, and loves her job as a mortician. Up until now she’s been living a quiet and simple life, but one night everything changes when a body wakes up on the table.
Jonas Cantrell was everything delicious. He’s a vampire and a prince amongst his kind. He’s been around a long time, but nothing has ever called to him the way Ginny does. Her enticing way makes him come alive, which is a feat in and of itself since he’s immortal. It’s not easy and Jonas tries to stay away, but it’s inevitable because he and Ginny have always been meant to be.
Ginny and Jonas were fated—written in the stars. Their romance was electrifying and addicting. It’s not easy with the obstacles they’re faced with, but a love like theirs has the strength to withstand anything. I loved these two so much, they made me swoon and smile—I couldn’t get enough.
Reborn Yesterday is a quirky and original paranormal romantic comedy. This book was everything I didn’t know I needed. I loved Ginny and Jonas to pieces. And don’t get me started with Tucker and Elias, and Roksana, the badass slayer. They were just exceptional secondary characters and I’m in need of their stories. Tessa created a world I was obsessed with and desperately craved more of. I cannot wait for more of the Phenomenal Fate series, I neeeed!
I did not know what to expect when reading this because just in the blurb, I knew it would be different. This was different than other paranormal romances but so so good. Ginny and Jonas have this timeless love that comes to fruition at the most inopportune time but you can’t deny their connection. The beginning of the book is sort of a slow burn but it gives you the background you need for Ginny and Jonas and the struggle Jonas has in trying to keep his distance. Once he snaps though, it’s ON! I couldn’t put this down.
First of all, we need to talk about how perfect this book was. Because it was. Then we need to talk about how amazing the cover is. Because, DO YOU SEE IT? This was my First book by Tessa and I DEVOURED it completely.
I got this beautiful copy in the mail and it was life changing. I am addicted. I loved every word Tessa wrote!
Ginny and Jonas were amazing. I loved them. The chemistry and just sizzle between them was absolutely riveting. I couldn’t stop reading. I loved that it was palpable once you started reading.
The book had all the laughs and swoon I was hoping on top of it being an epic PNR. Perfection. I was hoping that it would be amazing and it absolutely was. I don’t want to give anything away. If you like PNR with a hefty does of laughs and a perfect plot. you will love this from the very start.
This book was PHENOMENAL! I don’t think I can give enough praise for it. Tessa Bailey has such a fantastic style of writing. I was completely drawn in by the first couple pages and was so mad when I had to stop and do adult stuff like work. This was such a different paranormal romance, it wasn’t shoved so hard down your throat spooky things and vampires and slayers oh my! It all flowed beautifully together. Jonas really is a dreamboat and that mouthhhhhhh tho! So filthy and I LOVED it!!! He’s also so swoon worthy. Ginny was just the sweetest, I found her very reliable, being a shy romantic girl myself. I definitely did not expect the twist but then the title made sense and that’s just freaking genius. I am SO excited for Elias and Roksana’s story as well! A five star read for me without a doubt.

This was a lot of fun, and it put the “fun” in “fun”eral, ba dum dum hiss
Yes, it takes place in a funeral home, but our heroine is quirky, self-deprecating, and still is confident in who she is, and how she is. Ginny gets who she is, how she is, and while she doesn’t like how the world treats her, she has learned to accept it. Then Jonas turns her all around, with the wanting, and that connection. He keeps running from her, she keeps figuring out how to keep him coming back. NOT that he needs any help with that, he can’t stay away. Their dynamic, their banter, their attraction leaps up and brings you into the scene with them, EVERY SINGLE TIME! They are magic together, they truly and honestly are, and when the fun gives way to seriousness, to deep, soul scaring emotions, they are the light each turns to in that darkness. They get the other, they complete each other, (really, it isn’t just a corny statement) and that connection they have, it simply will not be denied, no matter how much they try to do what is right, which is the opposite of what they want, to try and keep the other safe.
Like I said, this was a lot of fun, and in the end, and from the start, it was a lot of love, not just because of fated mates, but because two people found that other person who gets them!
