“Like a retelling of The Scarlet Letter with a happily ever after.” – bookSprout review
Note: Rebel Priest was first written as a novella in 2013 in the Forbidden Fruit V. 2 Anthology under the name Sins of the Flesh, and then as a full-length standalone titled Rebel Saint in 2018. Minor characters, situations, and scenes have been added to enhance the story.

He was a priest and she came from the school of hard knocks. This story is unlike any you’ve read. A forbidden beautiful read. Full of secrets.forbidden gray areas to be understood. I loved this story because wasn’t your average read.
This was a very interesting story. I honestly didnt know how this would end on a happy note, but thank goodness it did! Would the Father give up the church to be with his soul mate? Will her guilt split them apart forever? So so good!

4 1/2 Stars!
Full of uncomfortable moments when faith, religion, lust, and love battled within Bastien, who was called and faithfully served the church. His will was tested after meeting and falling for Tressa, who had a deep backstory that connected with Bastien.
I liked the way the author was unafraid to tackle the secrets and lies behind the workings of some religious communities under the guise of goodworks. Having a true faith as Bastien had was possible while being human at the same time. His disillusionment of finding the ways his peers hid their less than holy actions and the lack of response after he reported it to the church allowed Bastien to break away from his order while still retaining his faith.

Rebel Priest is the first book I’ve read from Adriane Leigh. Going into this book blind, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was completely blown away! Father Bastien is genuinely a good guy and helps Tressa out in her time of need. The relationship that develops between them is a sin in its own way. I felt the book was well written and will definitely read more from this author.
Addicting story, lovable characters, twists and turns, Rebel Priest is awesome book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes slow burn Forbidden Romance.

Tressa left with no place to go, finds herself at St. Michael’s, the parish from her childhood. The current priest Father Bastien offers Tressa a place to stay and work. Join in their journey…this slow burn forbidden romance grabs your attention and doesn’t let up. The characters are well developed. The story is well written, emotional, captivating, compelling, off the charts with chemistry. This is the first book I have read by Adriane Leigh, and won’t be my last!!

I received this book as an ARC. I’ll start with the bad. It was kinda boring. There were a few scenes that didn’t make sense as far as timing. And it felt like Bastien moved really fast see as he didn’t have any other experiences sexually in his life. The author has a great vision for this story line. I am interested in reading Rose and Cruz. But not on a time limit. I do think she writes well just feel like this novel needed something to keep it moving. Maybe more in depth about the church secrets and stuff like that. It was steamy.

Not too sure if my review is a Spoiler, but here goes…..
Tessa seems at a lost after Scholarships funds were cut back and she lost hers, with everything heading downhill after that she traveled back to the place that felt like home.., St.Michaels Church. There she met Father Bastien.
On meeting Tressa, Fr. Bastien knew she was different, different from anyone he has me.
Working closely together at the church and living on the church grounds, their attraction towards each other intensified. ( Maybe this is a spoiler)
This book was riveting, I enjoyed all the twists and turns it took them to get to where their were meant to be.
Although Adriane Leigh is a new author to me I give this book a 5 star review cause it was written well and I look forward to reading more of her work in the near future,

It was okay….not really great for me but perhaps I’m comparing it to other Priest forbidden stories and there wasn’t much that was different here from what’s been written before. Bastien was indeed steamy…although I didn’t really feel the connection with Tressa. Nice little twist at the end made it worth reading. It was well written and had some steam to it
** spoiler alert ** A forbidden romance that just put my mind in the gutter from the start
Oh come on now. I know I’m not alone. A Priest. And the girl. sue me but yes, my mind definitly went there.
And this book definitly goes there.
” Loving him was a sin, and I was his prisoner.”
Their intense chemistry is like a foreplay with high voltage sexual tensions. Bastien words are… Mylawdy it’s not dirty talk, but dangit this man sure know how to melt few undies along the way only with his words.
And the steamy scenes? Lawwwdy
But the author talk more than just forbidden romance between Bastien and Tressa. She talk about what happen when the church sweep under the rag all the dirt has happen in the church by men calling them self man of God.
The author speak a delicate issue with real things that I believe happen in real life. Because even the most pious man in earth isn’t God who have no sin.
One thing that I admire from Bastien that he respect and love Tressa so much he could never live in a secret with her while so many his colleagues have a “mistress” beside their vow of love to God.
The overall storyline was good but there were some times when I was extremely confused. On two occasions, an event would take place and then it seemed as if something major was left out or it was as if the event didn’t happen and then it started all over again. It wasn’t like words repeated or anything it was just events. Despite those confusing areas I really enjoyed how Tressa and Bastien’s story played out.

I absolutely love this book. I love that the author took the time to incorporate a lot of how religion plays a part in our lives and brings forth the questions we all sometimes face or want to ask but don’t. This is a book full of surprises, twists, questions and faith as a whole. I love how Bastien and Tressa were each other’s guiding light through the dark. This book will definitely keep you glued to the pages eating up every word that’s written.

Adriane Leigh is a new author for me and Rebel Priest is the first of her books I have read. It certainly will not be the last. The journey of Bastien and Tressa pulls at you from the very start and does not let go. Their story of struggles and hopes and love is one that will stay with you. The added touch of the supporting characters only enhances the story along the way.
All in all, it is a wonderful read of forbidden love and all the intrigue that entails along the way.

When I started reading this book, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. What I got was a seriously great read. The forbidden romance between Tressa and Bastien is so much more complex than hiding their secret love affair beyond closed doors. The twists and turns that their lives – and their romance – take left my heart dizzy and my head spinning. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, another plot twist was thrown in that had me gasping out loud.
I really enjoyed the complex nature of this book. It wasn’t this simple “oh, we shouldn’t be in love, but we’re going to do it anyway” book – it had so many layers and emotions to it that kept me engaged with this book until the very end. This is my first Adriane Leigh book and won’t be my last.

I expected to like this story of forbidden love and how a holy person handles the deep conscience turmoil between ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ or ‘how can this possibly be wrong for me?’ But the plot surprises in the last part of the book were to die for! Father Bastien is a hero well suited for Tressa! Recommended.
A good read if religious romances are your thing. I found the romance storyline very good but as ive discovered im not really interested in the religious side ( which is throughout the book). Over all a good storyline and a good book just not my thing

This book is definitely about forbidden love. This book will give you all the feels! If you like angsty books, this one is for you. In this book tressa has had a tough life, her mother wasn’t necessarily horrible, but definitely not mom of the year. Tressa wants to make something of her life, but keeps getting knocked down. Beisten is a preist, tressa shows up at the church he was assigned to. He did everything any other preist would do and help her get back in her feet. The more time they spend together, the more they are starting to feel something between them. This book was absolutely amazing!

Can a Priest find real love? Would he be able to break his vow to ensure this love is what he needs?
This story is a forbidden partner turn to lover read, but the twist and turns of the characters make it so interesting.
My first time reading Adriane Leigh and I will be reading her work again!!
Rating: 4.5 stars
Wow! This book is good! I love it! There is nothing better than a well written forbidden romance! I loved all of the twists and turns, ups and downs of the storyline! The characters are amazing and their love story is spectacular! I would definitely recommend this book!
