A brand new mail-order bride series from the author of Shiftr: Swipe Left For Love. Aidan has been on the run for too long. From his psychopathic family; from the mountain of secrets he’s been hiding from everyone; and from himself. He wears his heart on his sleeve—that’s what everyone thinks anyways—always full of jokes and banter. But deep down, his heart is tortured and dark. But one look at … But one look at Kelly, and Aiden starts to believe in something he’s never had: a future for himself. Too bad the matchmaker keeps telling him he’s not ready for a mate and, before he knows it, matches Kelly with someone else.
Kelly needs rules. They guide you, protect you, and give you purpose; that’s what she’s been told her entire life, anyways. And bad boy Aidan, with eyes full of mischief and a smile that melts Kelly’s heart, is very much against the rules. He may be the only person that’s never looked down on Kelly for who she is—a girl who’s spent all of her in a religious cult. But he’s everything Kelly has been warned about. Even if her heart says otherwise. Even if he’s so understanding of her OCD and teaches her how to live in the real world.
And when a ghost from Aidan’s past appears, and Aidan and Kelly have no choice but to face their biggest fears, will they run away or will they discover the love they’ve been longing for in each other?
Promised: romance, heat and sexy shifters. HEA and no cheating, of course!

I am a huge fan of insta-love stories but I also appreciate the time that a couple takes to get where they need to be to hold onto that love, and for me, that was this story. Aidan’s wolf knew instantly that Kelly was the one for him and even though Kelly flat out rejects him at first despite the draw to him, he’s still there for her when she needs him. Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on, encouragement or simply giving her time to adjust, Aidan proves over and over that he’s meant for her because he’s exactly what she needs.
In addition to the romance, I really appreciated the mentions of how others reacted differently to Kelly’s condition. With Florence, it was bewilderment when Kelly had set such a specific time to meet or when she came down one morning to find everything in her house reorganized or Timon’s sheer frustration on how everything had to be set just a certain way when that was the complete opposite of his character. I loved the wonder in Aidan as he watched all her tics and the patience that he had to hear them out, consider them and work with them in an effort to make Kelly comfortable. I thought it was sheer genius having her go around with Aidan and meet the town’s residents as to view them through his eyes and realize that maybe she’s not the only one who needs to be approached in a certain way.
Sometimes it takes a great upset or shock in your life to make you face your fears and Aidan’s situation gave Kelly the get up and go she needed to go and get her man. She refused to leave his side as he faced down old fears and their newfound determination gave them new strength in not only themselves but in their relationship. It was truly beautiful to watch each of them grow and develop into stronger people while still staying true to themselves. And such a brilliant twist in resolving Aidan’s inner war of pack vs. home! I really loved it. 🙂
In the end, the book wasn’t just about finding your mate, it was about finding your family. In Ragtown, both Kelly and Aidan were able to find a place where they were wanted and accepted and who wouldn’t want that? This was the first book in the series that I read and it was out of order but this blurb intrigued me more than the others as my daughter has ADHD and she has to face many challenges in the way that she both perceives things and in the way that people react to her condition. Needless to say that after reading how both the couple and the town residents come together in support of each other, I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
I adore Aiden. He is the fun carefree type of guy or so everyone thinks.
He is the one that WANTS a mate but yet keeps getting turned away by the matchmakes. That is until Kelly shows up.
Watching Kelly be with someone else really affects Aiden and it was wonderful to watch him claim his mate. I loved how patient he was with her.
Aiden is a jokester like the best of them. And also like the best he is using it to hide things. Kelly on the other hand cannot hide her extras. She has the unfortunate luck of having OCD. Add in Aiden’s troubles from home and it’s a great book.
Romance, heat, sexy shifters? Add in an actually pretty darn good plot, great writing and complex characters. The result? A book that definitely qualifies as “guilty pleasure” reading (thank you, sexy shifters), but is also a really great and well done story. Definitely recommended.

Ooooo this book catches you from the first page, to the end taking you on the ride of your life.
Yeppers some sexy hunks is this story. Definitely a Must Read!
Aidan Reed is a WolfShifter Deputy of Ragtown whose a jokester or is he hiding beside his jokes. Aiden is waiting for his mate and every day he asks Florence if she has found her yet.
Kelly is a counter that right she counts everything. There are twenty eight lampposts on the street in Ragtown, that’s a good even number. Seven is a lucky number too. Kelly doesn’t step on cracks either, she has always been called weird. But she’s came to Ragtown to be a BearShifter’s Mate or is it a WolfShifter’s?
This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.
Another great addition to the series. Plenty of intrigue and action also steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
