I can’t stand him … and I can’t keep my hands to myself … have.
I’ve been undercover for so long that I’m beginning to forget who the real me is. It doesn’t matter if being around Coop helps me remember. He might hate cops, but he’s the only one who can see past the mask I wear to survive.
I can’t afford to have a heart, and it doesn’t matter if I lose my soul. I need to take down my father’s club and end his evil for good. Coop can’t be mine when I have nothing to give, and if anyone finds out about us we’re both dead.
So why can’t I let him go?

Loved it!!!! I was so intrigued by Rebel/Luke in the previous two books in this series so I was so excited to finally read his story! He lived up to the hype!!! He’s such a good man and I’m so happy he and Coop got their HEA. Coop was introduced as the care-free goofball and I liked that he came into the role of “caretaker” at parts during this book. It was so sweet to see him with Rebel that way. This is by far my favorite of the series thus far! Would recommend!
After reading the first two books in the Hell’s Ankhor series I had mixed feelings because while Blade book one was really good, book two Gunner had too much filler and not enough meat to the story. I continued because I felt like Rebel had so much protentional and it didn’t disappoint. Rebel and Coop ended up being such a perfect couple because of their similarities but also because of their differences. Coop hates cops and for good reason but Rebel is not just the VP of a rival MC he is also an undercover cop. The push and pull between those two was at times funny, steamy and even a bit angsty. You could feel their relationship growing as they were faced with obstacle after obstacle. This might be my favorite book yet in this series, but Maverick’s book is next, he is a character we don’t know much about and the plot for that story could end up being the best yet. If you were like me and weren’t sure if you should keep going with this series you should, you really should!
This one definitely hit me right in the feels. Two survivors seemingly on opposite sides, recognizing themselves in each other and fighting to make a better life for the people they care about…just…phew. Some bits of the plot re the trafficking ring/his work undercover pushed the envelope on believability, but meh, you get what you ask for and I’m here for Rebel and Coop, not a thrilling takedown of organized crime. Bonus points for not being flattering to law enforcement/painting them as heroes and to the focus on the regularity of police DV & the blue wall of silence.
Amazing new world! Realistic in emotions and setting. Men are hot and spicy! Heart gripping
Super Thrilling MC Book.

This the next book in the Hell’s Ankhor series is exciting the dangers Rebel faces playing to many roles all at once.
Rebel’s so called father is the epitome of an evil snake spewing hate and bigotry the shady way he runs his club and dirty deals.
And then there’s the explosive way Coop and Rebel interacted around each other absolutely raw and thrilling.

I love these books so much! The whole series pulls me in.
I never want this series to end; I just want Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda to keep making up names and writing more books for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever!!!!
As I’ve said in previous reviews (I’ve read a lot of these books!) AB and AL have created a motor cycle club who have expanded to find their own personalities, people and lives outside the club and along the way they have brought together a library of hot, sexy, deeply tortured souls who want to love and be loved and loved they definitely are! I love that there’s a message about an issue be it domestic abuse, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, hate crime; it’s there in the text saying it’s not ok and it should be dealt with and there’s always someone to support you. But it’s not just that. The quality of the writing brings you the smell of the engine oil, the roar of the bikes, the slam of the door, the crack of the wood as the hatchet slams into the bark, you can smell the whiskey and beer in the bar, you hear the click of the lube lid!
But I digress… Rebel has been in hiding all his life! He’s used to hiding in plain sight but when Coop ‘sees’ him immediately he is through for a loop! He’s not a member of the Hell’s Ankhor club but he is Logan’s brother and so much more and he needs the club’s help. Coop is assigned his point of contact but is not happy about that though and their initially angry encounters change and grow through the shared experiences.
I loved this book; it’s beautiful to read with depth and emotion. It is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, or wherever are hot and sexy and between men! If you don’t like that don’t read these books!!!
I’m totally recommending this book to you xx

Audiobook Review
Narator: James Amherst
Rating: Overall 4 stars Narrator: 4 stars story: 4 stars
Rebel has been undercover for many years, trying to bring down his abusive father and his crooked motorcycle club. It’s come at a cost, too; namely his brother. It has taken an emotional toll on him as well. When he starts working with Coop, things are not very friendly between them. It was interesting to watch their relationship evolve. Rebel couldn’t afford the distraction, though. He’s come too far to mess it up now.
I enjoyed the writing and the way the story flowed. There was a good balance to the dynamics of the story, and the characters were likable or hatable, depending on which side of the line they stood. This series really needs to be listened to in order, as they each contain pertinent information for stories to come. Some of Rebel’s story actually begun in Gunnar’s book, and even from book one, where his brother was one of the main characters.
James Amherst is a new to me narrator. I thought he did a really good job bringing the story to life. His voice was perfect to portray members of a motorcycle club.
I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is the first story I’ve read/listened to in this series. I’m going to have to go back to understand where some of the characters fit. As a standalone it is a good story. Rebel has given over ten years just to do the right thing. I could only describe his dad with words I can’t use out loud. When Rebel gets together with Coop their personality mix is entertaining. The part that made me grit my teeth is when Coop has to cut Rebel. Their disagreement about how to hurt him and the discussion later about how worse it could have been made me shake my head. I’m anxious to see where the story will go from here. When will they find Crave and what will happen. I think James Amherst brought the characters to life. I received a free copy from Gay Romance Review and this is a voluntary review.
Rebel’s been undercover for so long he’s starting to wonder if there’s any of his real identity left. He wants to take down his corrupt father’s MC, the Vipers, and he’s devoted 10 long years of his life to doing so. But now the time has come for it all to come together, he can’t let a little thing like his feelings for Coop, the man he’s fallen for, to distract him from his mission. Will Coop stand by him, wait for him to complete his mission? Or will Rebel’s utter focus on his mission, without much regard to his own life be too much for Coop and the love Coop feels for him?
This is definitely my favorite so far in the Hell’s Ankhor MC series. Coop and Rebel go from sorta enemies to something to definitely lovers, and their journey felt real, was fraught with tension and chemistry and feels. I love how they fell for each other, how much they didn’t want to fall, but couldn’t help themselves, and I love that they got each other, understood each other. This series is such a great one, with so many amazing characters – can’t wait for the next couple to find love!
As a huge fan of Aiden Bates I was so happy when I received this book as an ARC. Since the beginning the plot trapped me and I couldn’t stop until the very end. An interesting story full of intrigue, action and danger, in between romance and hot scenes. The book had some angst and stressful situations regarding abuse and domestic violence so in some parts the story got pretty intense and emotional. A wonderful reading! Loved it!
I was looking to Rebel’s story ever since I started this series!
I knew he was hiding a lot of things, and I knew he suffered a lot, for his mother, his brother and himself. He did the only thing he knew would help him bring his father’s club down. He became an officer of the law.
Coop does not trust him at all. Coop thinks he has his own hidden agenda aside from telling them he wants to bring the club and end the trafficking business once and for all.
Enemies to lovers with a lot of obstacles in between, I love it! I love Rebel, my heart aches for what he went through, for having a father like Crave, for having spent several years of his life in order to bring them all down. This is one of the series I truly look forward to. I can’t wait for the next one!
Rebel, as an undercover police officer, is in the center of a hurricane, his life is a mess. He wants to bring The Viper’s, his father’s mc down and has to work with mc Hell’s Ankhor to help him.
Hell’s Ankhor member Coop hates cops and despises Rebel, he doesn’t trust him. Still, he has to work with him.
Rebel’s father is a lowlife, abusive af, a criminal who already got rid of Logan, Rebel’s younger brother. Luckily Logan found shelter at Hell’s Ankhor mc.
Rebel feels ashamed not been able to keep Logan safe without giving his undercover position up.
He’s working on a big case, to bring the mc down, dismantle the human trafficking and finally be free of all the abuse from his father.
He cannot afford any relationship, certainly not with the strong sexy force named Coop.
I enjoyed this story with Rebel and Coop. Both had a miserable life and both are hardheaded.
There is a lot of violence to witness, especially from the Viper mc. The rough manhandling strong big-mouthed language between Coop and Rebel. The softer moments felt almost out of place. Rebel was so hard on himself it was painful to watch, I found it even a bit too dramatic, but oh gosh with emotional parts I was so happy with ‘too much’, also the action was all well done.
The cover expresses exactly what you get! And some more!
This is a truly outstanding, well-paced MM/MC romance with a “enemies to lovers” undertone & is definitely worth reading. There are some character crossovers but it can be read as a standalone although I would recommend reading the series in sequences to fully understand the underlining story. The well-paced plot is filled with some suspenseful incidents. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are complex individuals with different traits & personalities & have good chemistry between them but are inclined to be distrustful & at times quite confrontational. The secondary characters offer good support.
There is: a MC rider & undercover cop (Rebel) is determined to take down his despicable father (Crave) of the (Vipers Nest MC) down but he is also highly attracted to a MC rider (Coop) a enforcer for the “Hell’s Ankhor MC”, Rebel’s brother (Logan), law enforcement, uncover missions, twists & turns, intrigue, drama, suspense, mystery, MC clubs, rivalry, drug & human trafficking, action, adventure, secrets, deceit, betrayal, attractions, complications, threats, dangers, violence, devastating memories, manipulations, suspicions, confrontations, attitude issues, investigations, verbal conflict, misunderstandings, camaraderie, panic attacks, compromises, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion for this couple with a interesting ending that could paving the way for the next book in this series & I look forward to the next book in this series with great anticipation.
I thoroughly enjoyed Rebel. It was fast-paced, full of angst, just a bit of badassery – not too much, enough to keep it going and super hot sex. I loved Coop and Rebel. They both had interesting back stories and were likable, after they earned it and I thought the Hell’s Ankhor men were great. I hadn’t read the first two books (But they are on my kindle now) but it didn’t hamper my enjoyment of this book, it definitely could stand alone. I can’t wait to read the next book and I definitely recommend it.
These two authors are a power team! I’ve been reading both this MC series and the Brotherly Love series and both are as different from each other as they are amazing!
Coop and Rebel were hot in this enemies to lovers MC romance. The guys at Hell’s Anchor reel you in and once in, you never want to leave which is how Rebel eventually felt about Coop. There was lots of action, lots of love and a very happy ending. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
The only way to bring down his corrupt father is to contain the damage.
He is betraying the biological brother he left behind as well as their club
Which responsibilities must he hold onto to save lives? There might well be no saving his honor or his love
Torn between duties, one man tries to do his best on his own – and he’s reminded theirs is a life where no one is truly alone
Intense action adventure and romance
