Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. Finding the Dream is a very sweet romance with some touching moments. Rebecca finds herself in new circumstances and things around her are changing rapidly, except her best friend. She seems to be doing well in her career, but then life turns upside down . Major decisions have to be made, and well, the path isn’t straight. The characters are intense and well rounded. The plot is interesting. I overall enjoyed this sweet romance.
Such a sweet story! Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream was very good. With ups, downs, highs and lows it’s everything you could ask for in a book.
Becky Steele, on the cusp of starting her country music career while in her 40s, picks the one song that reminds her of past love with Johnny Munroe to launch it. Besides all that she also competes in barrel racing at the rodeo where she meets Chance(Adam Mason). After a scary accident she loses most of her memory of her 20s & 30s, but is assured it’ll come back in time.
Romance is in the air between Chance & Becky with Johnny looming in the shadows.
With sadness, love, happiness, and drama this story does not disappoint as Becky navigates a new road in life while leaving an old road behind. Well minus her best friend Emily, who will always be along for the ride.
I look forward to reading book 3, more than I was to reading this book because of the time jumps in book 1. Don’t let that deter you because I’m glad I did. It was worth it!
This is the second book of the Rebecca Steele Series. Although it can be read as a standalone I recommend reading book one first. This is my first book from this author. I enjoyed the story but wish I would have read book one first, so I would have the whole back story. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen for Becky in book 3.
This is the second book in the Rebecca Steele Series, but only the first one I have read. I fell in love with so many of the characters. “Becky” and Emily have been friends since they were children, and it shows in the way they interact with each other. Becky is moving forward with her music career while living on a horse ranch. Is it her dream life? Can she find love or with outside forces tear her apart from the man she has come to love?
This book was filled with relationship turmoil and triumphs. This was an enjoyable easy read and really felt like I was transformed to their world. Thank you to the author!!
Finding the Dream is another great book by Joanne Patterson. In this second book of the Rebecca Steele series we once again get to fall in love with Becky. It has romance, drama, humor and to top it off we get to enjoy some horses too. Chance is sweet, strong and sexy and I loved reading
as Becky and him grow closer. This book is fast paced and good for readers who want something on the shorter side and easy to read. The characters are all easy to fall in love with and they will have you hooked on this series by the end of the book, leaving you anxious to grab the next in the series.
It was a wonderful to read the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. It is possible to read the second installment in the series as a stand-alone as it develops the plot from the first book but leaves enough to be concluded in the third book. However, the characters and the story are so enjoyable in this western contemporary romance that you are sure to want to read the other books in this series. “Finding the Dream,” is the second book in the series and we follow Rebecca on both the music and rodeo scene. Of course, the romance is never easy or straightforward with a good story and such is the case for Rebecca. This is a story that you will gladly spend an afternoon with.
While the this is the second installment to this series, it is just as good as the first. Before this series I had never read anything by this author before but I will definitely be looking into more of this authors work. Their word building is fantastic, the characters are wonderful, and the overall plot and storyline flowed together beautifully. This book was overall a fun, sweet romance, that puts you right in the middle of Becky’s life. Becky is energetic, spirited, loving, and loyal to those closest to her. Meanwhile Chance is a hardworking, sweet, and sexy cowboy who would do anything to make Becky happy. While this book is on the shorter side, and I believe there were scenes that could have been more descriptive. But overall this book was perfect for the short western romance that it was.
Oh my goodness, I am a fan! I jumped in at book 2 (Have no fear, I will be going back to book 1 and reading the series again) and fell in love with Rebecca. She is so down to earth and good hearted. I love the relationships she has with everyone. Her relationship/friendship with Marty and his wife is so beautiful. For this couple to have raised a young girl after her parents were killed. Now Emily, she is kind of the Yin to Becky’s Yang. Becky is calm while Emily is a bit of a wildflower/social butterfly. She and Emily have been friends since they were little girls. The story is so well-written you cannot help but feel every pang of emotion Becky feels no matter what that emotion is. When it comes to romance, Becky has a pretty good head on her shoulder to know what she wants and what she doesn’t. When she meets Chance, all bets are off. The two of them are like to stars colliding. It is a story written in the stars. Romance and adventure, a bit of relationship building. Check this story out. I would give it a 10 if I could. I highly recommend it.
Wow!
It is a very easy light romance that had a few quick twists that fit the story well.
This was the first book I read from this author and I will be looking out for more.
The author made this story very inspiring and realistic.
Becky and Johnny are the journey of this story.
I was surprised that I liked this book because the setting was different from what I usually enjoy.
This is the type of book you read to feel good, refreshing is the best word to describe it.
I am looking forward to book three.
This story made me cry in a few spots it had me day dreaming in between truly living through the pages.
Love and country music officially go together.
So romantic.
This is such a sweet story of starting over. This is a really great romance centered around country life. Becky has had such a hard time with men and it’s made her really cautious about opening herself up to another man and really giving it her all. Chance is so different from the other men she’s met. He sees something special in Becky the first time he lays eyes on her and he’s willing to wait as long as it takes and to take things as slowly as she needs to be comfortable. When she finally does let her guard down and lets Chance in they are so adorable together and Cassidy is just the incing on the cake. There are twists and turns in this story that kept me turning the pages until I reached the absolutely beautiful ending. This is a sweet wholesome romance not to be missed.
Joanne has once again presented a great love story. You never know what she’s going to come up with next but here she has created memorable characters that make you want the story to never end. I’m hoping for more from this author!!! Congratulations Joanne on a book well-written!
REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES Book 2)
by Joanne Patterson
This book was so entertaining. It kept me turning the pages wanting to know what would happen next. I couldn’t help myself but root for Becky while she goes through all of the ups and downs of life in pursuit of her dreams. There are also other wonderful characters in this story. This can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read book one first for a better experience. The author does a great job making you feel like you are right in this story. The author gets you completely invested in the story. I highly recommend this book.
I have read a couple of books from this author and she always exceeds my expectations. This is the second book of the Rebecca Steele series.I was so happy that we got to continue Becky’s journey. I love a good small town romance but this author blew my mind. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I could not put this book down until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.
Becky is now living the country life. She loves living in Tennessee so she can focus more on my country music career. Becky starts realizing that her friendship could turn into something more. She is happy with her life and with her best friend by her side she can feel like she can do anything. When Becky gets thrown a curve ball she is going to have a hard choice to make. Will she make the decision that her heart wants or will she choose the safer option?
4 stars!
Good story, characters and read. This book can be read as a standalone, although after reading it, I want to go back and read the first book. In this story, Becky is living her dream life, riding horses and singing, and along for the ride is her best friend Emily. The introduction of the love interest Chance is sweet, anyone could tell that he likes Becky, but who is he really? The romance and obstacles the main character faces are all nicely written into the story, along with a nice twist, makes this story a short and fun read.
REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES) Book 2 by Joanne Patterson
4 out of 5 stars
Western Romances are very much a hit or miss for me. I feel that the genre has died and that they can often be replaced with the much more exciting world of YA, or Sci-Fi, however, I can eat my words when it comes to the writings of Patterson. Patterson brings the world of Western Romance back to life. The characters of both Becky and Emily warm the heart in such a way that even the darkest soul can feel the hearth burning. Becky is back in the world and adventuring on her own, with Emily there to support everything that she does and laughs along the way.
This is a quick read, which I really appreciate, as I rarely have the luxury to sit and indulge in a long read anymore and the chapters where quick and efficient with details and information. Lovers of young adult, women empowerment and coming of age will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.
Fast. Full of dramatic action. An easy and fun short read.
Joanne Patterson is new to me, so it was a little bit more of a thrill to delve into this story. My take on the leading lady is that she is tenacious and willing to give just about anything go. Her life is fast paced and energetic, and it was a pleasure to read about. There is a lot of things covered in this story, with love, courage, suspense and risk taking. The characters were engaging and not too complex. A delightful story that can be read as a stand alone. 4 stars.
I believe this is the first book I’ve read by this author. I know this is the second book in the series, and I will definitely go back and read the first one, but I want to say that I don’t feel it affected my feelings of this book. Not my normal read, but I wasn’t disappointed. This was a good read, it kept my interests and it wasn’t hard to to get through.
Rebecca Steel Finding the Dream is book two in the Rebecca Steel series by Joanne Patterson. I have yet to read book one, but I definitely will now. I don’t feel as though I needed to beforehand, I still very much enjoyed this story.
Becky is, of course, the star of the show in this story, but you get to meet some other wonderful characters along the way.
Beckys life is going better than she could have thought. Her dreams of being a country singer are becoming more real, and she’s working hard to be a success. Her relationship with her boyfriend is going from strength to strength, even with a few curve balls thrown their way. Life isn’t always sweet, but Becky works hard and you are rooting for her to get her happy ending.
There is so much packed into this story that at times I found it hard to keep up, although I usually favour stories that are more descriptive. You meet so many characters and have so many adventures that at times I would have to stop and retrace my steps slightly.
However, this is a lovely, heartwarming read and it was the perfect accompaniment to a sunny afternoon in the garden.
Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream (Rebecca Steele Series #2) by Joanne Patterson was a good four star read. This is a quick read that pulls you right in. You can read this as a stand along.
Becky (Rebecca) is living on a horse ranch near Nashville with her bestie, Emily. She decides to join the rodeo circuit which she is doing great at and her music career is doing wonderful. She is happier than she has ever been, loving life. Until, a big twist that changes everything for Becky.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read. We get several twists and turns. The characters were great and I really liked Emily. Becky is a strong character not afraid to follow her dreams. Chance, oh Chance, this man was determined to make Becky happy, Loved him so much. We get drama, suspense, romance and so much more. The author does a great job with her writing. You feel like you’re right there with Becky as she makes her decisions and goes through her journey. If you’re looking for a great read with a strong female character this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
This was a good read. Had me flipping through the pages. Not my normal read but it’s a well written story
