Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse. She doesn’t know his real name or where he lives. She’s ninety percent certain he’s a … certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talked with her brother wasn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he wasn’t so damned sexy.
Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What is he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming some biker’s property.
Then her brother steals from the club. Now Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… and if she’s a very, very good girl, he’ll let her brother live.
Author’s Note: This book was originally released through a small publisher in 2013. The new edition has been lightly edited, and contains a bonus short, “Sticky Sweet” (originally published on the author’s website) and a Q&A with the author.

One of the best MC story tellers out there. This book had everything.
I have lost count of how many times I have reread this story about a motorcycle club. I have a crush on Horse, the main character, but you can’t imagine him with anybody else but the spunk heroine, his Marie. They go through a lot to be together. I love Horse’s determination to win Marie. I’ve read and enjoyed other books in this series, always …
Loved this book! Start of a motorcycle club series and Horse is an amazing star! He meets Marie, the sister of one of the clubs hackers, and lusts after her. She is an innocent to club ways in every aspect and the clashing of ways they have is erotic, hysterical and dangerous to your libido! The lengths that Horse and Marie go for each other is …
It was good. There were a couple of moments where inner dialogue got repetitive. Yes, we know you love your brother and you will do Anything to keep him safe. Yes, we know. Got it the first 200 times you said it. And there was a part near the end where I had to put the book down because I knew she was going to do something incredibly stupid… and …
Loved it. Had to read the rest of the series.
A dark, gritty, suspenseful, and exhilarating ride to go on with Horse and Marie. I absolutely enjoyed every second of this book.
I didn’t want to put the book down! Wow!
3.5
h: Marie (1st person)
H: Horse (3rd Person)
(Dual POVs)
This book was I was thoroughly enjoying the first 70% of this book. After that, things were up in the air for me. There were some small details that annoyed me that were brushed under the rug to deal with the main conflict.
One thing that turned me off is, if we’ve made the …
Raw and gritty with compelling characters. A great start to an awesome series!
Horse & Marie!
An incredible read. Raw and sensual. A compelling
page turner!
This entire series ties as my favorite MC club series I’ve read thus far. Of course, these books aren’t new so I read these years ago, and they still stand out for me in the growing sea of MC books out there. The story-telling is fantastic, the dialogue is hot and spicy in every single book. The world building is just amazing and is what has me …
Horse and Marie are absolutely epic! It’s a beautifully tainted world of leather and chrome!! Can’t wait to be corrupted by the next one!!
Oh boy do I love a good MC series. This is definitely a good one!
Marie has had one heck of a rough life. After a devastating incident at home she finally decides to leave her husband and move in with her brother. All seems ok, a bit of a struggle to make decent money, but hey it’s still better than living with the horrible husband. Then one day …
Wow, such a great book. I just loved the audio and thought the narrator did an amazing job.
Marie truly had a hard way to go. Not only did she have an abusive ex-husband but she had a brother who was in way over his head and getting into some really bad stuff. Then there was the attraction to Horse who was part of the Reaper MC. Bet she never …
This is one of the books that made me a fan of MC romances. It’s one of my top five favorite books and I’ve re-read it several times. Horse and Marie’s relationship kept me glued to the book. If you love MC romances and you haven’t read this one, you’re really missing out on the best of the best
I like the subsequent books in this series more than the first one. That being said it was interesting enough to make me want to continue reading the rest of them. I’m glad I did, they just keep getting better. I like the book, but the main characters just weren’t as interesting to me as the ensemble, which is probably why I like the rest of this …
I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. When I can’t stop reading I know it’s GREAT. There was a certain part that literally made me cry. I wish I could read more of Horse and Marie.
5 Stars from Sammy’s Book Obsession!
I chose to purchase and read this book because Bikers/MCs are my favorites!
I loved this first book in the Reaper’s MC series! While many biker/MC books don’t always hold true to the realistic way of life and grit of the MC world, this book does completely. Joanna Wylde has an amazing way of making you really …

Review Horse is a very blunt person, I mean I think Marie hurt him more then what he’s letting on, “I don’t want to sleep with you,” he told her grimly. I want to eff you. Sleeping, cuddling, all that other s*** is for girlfriends, and old ladies, and you’re made it pretty effing clear you aren’t interested in any of that.” There are …
LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK (can ya tell I really liked this book)
This was a no holes barred look at the life inside a biker club. And one I very much enjoyed the taking the ride on..
The author did a great job of showing us all that biker clubs truly have there own set of moral codes and system of justice. They also have a very …
One of my favorite series ever! Love, love, love dangerous motorcycle men.
