Unstable powers, a uncertain future, and one overwhelmed girl.Chaos doesn’t even begin to explain my life. Now that the first two artifacts are a part of me the third haunts my dreams. It calls to me, overwhelming my senses. Between that, the council, the demon, and everthing else, I did the only thing that I could think of, I took off. Hopefully, Charlie can forgive me for leaving without a … without a word.
Disappearing seemed like my best option, until the demon found me, forcing my hand. Needing to save Becca and find the third artifact before him, I’m left with no other choice but to return and finish what I started.
To find the artifact in Hell, I must turn to the council for assistance which reveals even more corrupted their true motives are. Now, I have to determine the right course for not just myself, but the world too.

Book 3 in this series, so definitely read the 2 previous books before this for the full story.
Reaper Christina is still on the search for the 4 magical artifacts; she’s found 2 so far, but there’s a little problem when they absorb into Christina. Now, she’s dealing with how to handle all these extra powers; she’s becoming quite formidable, which is good because she has a whole bunch of people with nefarious plans for those artifacts out to control Christina.
This book opens up with Christina working as a waitress in a different town than her home town because she went off on her own without telling anyone because she’s unsure if she can control the power now within her. Her car broke down, so she’s trying to make some money to pay for the repairs. There’s no running for her though because there are some pretty powerful people that need her to find the rest of the artifacts. Love how Christina is realizing more and more that she needs to really be careful with who she can trust, and it’s super great that she’s getting training on how to work with her new powers. Still loving all the action in this series! Plus, I love that there’s demons, angels, reapers, witches, etc.; fun to have a lot of different types of paranormals.
There’s also a little more romance in this book, which I’m glad for. Christina is a bit awkward for someone who is almost 20 when it comes to romance, but there’s some sweet moments too. This series still leans towards the YA aspect I’d say; it’s all pretty tame. I like Charlie okay; he’s a bit too possessive at times, but he fits well with Christina.
Overall, this is another entertaining book in this series; I liked a bit more depth to the characters, but it’s a fun read and I do like all the characters. Looking forward to the finale with the next book!
Reaper of Flames by Jen L. Grey is the 3rd in the Artifact Reapers Saga.
This series just keeps getting better!
Christina, having absorbed the first 2 artifacts into herself is still on the the hunt for the last 2.
I love how all the twists and pieces are playing out and coming together!
After trying to get away from the world Christina finds herself broke down in a small town for a few weeks Christina must face reality and come back to her home town. Even if it the last thing she really wants to do Upon returning home she realizes what she truly left behind her parents an a love she never knew she needed. Christina has learned that collecting the artifacts are not just to save the world but now she must hunt them down to save herself
This story picks up where the first book left off, but a bit of time has passed. Chris needed some space, so she left town. What she didn’t expect was to get stranded, and have to tough it out where she’s at. But thanks to a little help from Damien (yes, the demon) she’s able to get back on track and get home. But now…the elephant in the room…the next artifact. He wants it, Luke wants it, and Charlie is not wanting her to go alone to get it. Add in that Becca is falling apart, and Chris’s relationship with Charlie is finally taking off as she wants. Question is…can she handle everything and stay out of trouble?
This book is better in places and more engaging, but then it is also slower in some spots as well. I wanted more of the training for her before she was essentially “marched” off to Hell. I like that Charlie finally tells the truth concerning his anger towards Chris for so long, but I will admit that I still think that things are moving pretty fast between them. He’s JUST admitting that he’s been wrong for shoving his anger on her, but I wanted them to take things a bit slower. LOL! Probably just me, but it’s true. Things do move pretty quickly with this book as Chris develops her powers and grows into them in more ways than one.
I will say that I’m confused by a few things that happen…or don’t happen. Chris knows the truth concerning the council and her parents…so my question is this…why didn’t she just tell them? I don’t necessarily think that they are still hoping to be reinstated, but I think that knowing the truth would be a good thing for them. Also, why won’t she help Becca? The author leaves me with a few questions, but it’s not anything that I’m about to get all bent out of shape about.
All in all, this book kept me page turning and I love that picks up pretty close to where the last book left off and that the author gives me just enough filler to know what happened. If you’ve read the previous books in this series, then I suggest you grab this book. Things are getting intense and you don’t want to miss out!
This is my favorite book of the series so far. Not one momemt of down time, its action packed. I’m loving how things are progressing with Christina. Not only is she getting stronger and smarter, but her personal relationships are improving. Christina is becoming more open with Charlie and her parents. She seems to have found a new partnership in the council but only time will tell if it’s true. Everyone seems to be deceiving her for some reason. Christina is becoming a force to be reckoned with. I can not wait for the next installment so we can find out how powerful she will become and hopefully find out who is being true to her.
In this third book we find Christina and Charlie looking for the flame artifact and she has to get prepared to go to the under world will she be ready to what needs to be done and keep her and everyone she loves safe or will other forces make her fail?
An amazing read with a few twists that will keep wanting more and more. can’t wait to read the next one
Exciting book! Enjoyed this story! Christina has alot going on and am excited about her and Charlie. Luke has surprised me but not sure about him either. Cannot wait to see what happens next!
First off let me start by saying this is the third book in the series and it is a MUST to read the series in order. You won’t regret reading the series though. There is drama, suspense and action; not to mention demons, reapers, witches, fae, heaven and hell. What more can you want from a book?
Check out the series to see just how much one person has to go through to find who she can trust and who is only using her for the Artifacts.
I love the growth with these characters. Christina has become more assertive and I like that. In Flames Christina after running away finds herself found by a demon and has to return to find the next artifact, and to do so she has to go to Hell. also Chris and Charlie admit their feeling s yay
Oooohhh I love how Chris is developing as a character! She is becoming a strong young woman, who is no longer available for people to walk on. Love it!
The storyline continues with Chris needing to find the next artifact. With the council breathing down her neck, a demon with his own agenda and now a witch offering advice- Who can she trust?
I really enjoyed reading this book. If you are a fan of reaper YA fantasy novels with a twist, I’d recommend checking out The Artifact Reaper Saga.
Very fast paced book. I love how Christina is finally standing up and taking a stand. Lots of different elements too that have me still guessing what everyone wants with her!
