I loved this book. With so many cozy mysteries out there it is nice to have one that is so totally different, I love the fact that a grim reaper is investigating murders. The mystery is interesting, there isn’t that many suspects but it is the characters themselves that make the story such a fun listen and the reason you can listen to the book again and again. This is book three in this entertaining series but don’t worry, each book is a standalone mystery and it is just her love life that progresses or gets more complicated with each adventure. I would actually recommend that it you like a good cozy paranormal mystery with a touch of humour and romance then you start from the very beginning and enjoy.
Tessa is finding it harder and harder to keep what she does for a living a secret from her boyfriend. He isn’t buying the lies she keeps telling him, which explains why after helping a soul move on she turns around to find Silas. The problem is the man she just helped was murdered and Silas was caught running away from the crime scene. Getting her boyfriend arrested for murder isn’t a great way to start a relationship, so can Tessa clear his name? At the same time her mother is promoted and her best friend has just become her boss. Are things about to get complicated between them or can she still count on her friend to help her catch a killer? Even if it means breaking the rules?
I liked the narrator for this book. I have heard her read other books and always thought she sounded a bit whiney but that is not the case with this story and I thought she added to the enjoyment.
I loved this installment! Things are intense between Tessa and Silas. He just won’t let up about her job. Then things go from bad to worse on a reap. It’s a good thing that Tessa has no problem being nosy! Lol! Gloria is a great friend to Tessa. Really gets her out of some tight spots. This is a fun series. This is the best of it so far too!

Our heroine’s new boyfriend wants to find out the truth, but his methods cause more trouble. How is our heroine going to get out of this one and save his bacon at the same time?
This is book three of the series. The book is written as a standalone. All the essentials are explained early on.
This is a cozy mystery of the paranormal variety but not with a witch lead. The story is well written and easy to read, with a well developed cast and setting. I really like our heroine and the hero is not bad either, in spite of a few goofs on his part. The story has all the essential elements of a good cozy including an intriguing mystery and a nice sense of humor. I really enjoyed the twist of a reaper as our sleuth as that provided a whole new perspective on things. Overall, a very fun read and I look forward to more books in this series.
Highly recommended.

I really enjoy this series. This book is part of a series and each book can be read as a stand alone, however the storyline is progressive and is best read in order. This is a paranormal, cozy mystery.
Tessa has a job that I could never do….as a Grim Reaper and helping people find their way to the other side. Her Reaps just never seem to always go as planned.. Her journey along the way is comical, amusing, and sometimes a wee bit creepy, making these stories an awesome read. There is a hint of romance along the way as well.
Good story lines, enjoyable characters, engaging dialogue and good detailed descriptions. Written as a 3rd person, single pov with a completed mystery ending.

Great Installment in Grim Reaper Series
I’ve only been reading paranormal cozy mysteries since the beginning of last year, and Paula Lester was one of the first I read. I enjoyed that series immensely and was so looking forward to this new one that seemed so completely different from other paranormal cozies. I love the idea of having the heroine be a “grim reaper.” As with the other series, the author did not disappoint with this one. I loved this installment, with the heroine’s romance with her landlord not only heating up but becoming more complicated as he figures out what she really does for a living—and as he gets embroiled in one of her reaps, becoming the prime suspect for the murder! Changes are afoot for her job as well. Our heroine certainly has a lot going on in this book! The author’s writing style is smooth, fluid, and immersive. Once I started the book, I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to the next book in the series and any others that this very talented author—and any others she works with—writes.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
I just love Tessa. She is clever, stong and fierce. I really like the chemistry between her and Silas. When she got the special ability of the scythe, I was chearing for her. I was not expecting the dropped bombshell. That was a surprising development. I love this series. I always read these books in one afternoon.

The characters in this series have all made some changes both on the personal and professional levels. It seems like this book picks up immediately from where the previous book ended. Tessa is tasks always seems to get complicated, but she ends up working things out for the best. The writing easily places the reader into the life and experiences of Tessa.

I love the evolution of this cozy mystery series! Tessa finds life growing ever more complicated as she strives to find a balance between being a reaper and having a normal relationship with Silas. Can she tell him the truth or will that doom the relationship? When Silas follows her on a reaper assignment thing get very complicated because Silas does not understand what happened. Is Tessa a serial killer or does she offer some kind of suicide assistance??
Then to make matters worse Silas is detained on suspicion of murder and Tessa is kect with nay loose ends to resolve.
This is a wonderful read that is witty, well written and funny. The characters and storyline are fantastic and I look forward to many more!

Tessa is new at being a grim reaper. She’s feeling more confident after attending the conference but now has to deal with her boyfriend Silas. He’s very curious about what she does so he follows her one day and gets more than he bargained for. I enjoyed the twists in this entertaining mystery. I can’t get enough of this series. Tessa has another soul to reap but as usual nothing goes according to plan. The soul tells her he has been murdered, Silas follows her and sees her doing her “job”, and is arrested for the murder, and another member of the deceased’s family sees her. Now she has to find the real murderer, make things right with Silas (if she can), and deal with her mom moving to another town. Just a day in the life of Tessa a Grim Reaper. Reap What She Sows is the third book in A Tessa Randolph Cozy Mystery series. I loved this book. Tessa is a fun character, a grim reaper who also ends up solving mysteries. In this case, she has to prove Silas’ innocence after he follows her on a reap. A truly enjoyable read!
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
Tessa is a grim reaper, fairly new at her job. She is still stumbling with getting the hang of reaping and dating her neighbor/landlord Silas. Silas is curious about Tessa’s job and follows her which in turn causes more problems for both of them. I truly like this series and hope this really isn’t the last book. I love the humor and how down to earth Tessa truly is, no matter what she does things always seem to go wrong. I rate this series right up there with Amanda Lee’s Aisling Grimlock series, which is a favorite of mine. Would I read more of Tessa’s story? Yes I would read every one probably more than once, lol.

Tessa is caught in a bind with her beau Silas. Can she tell him the truth or is that a big no no? When he follows her on a reaper appointment, thing get confusing and go south rapidly. He doesn’t seem to understand she is just an escort for souls, not some crazy suicide assistance person or other kind of killer
When Silas ends up detained on suspicion of murder, things go crazy quickly
As her mom Cheryl gets promoted and good friend Gloria becomes the direct supervisor to Tessa, change is afoot for Tessa
Criminal complications loom for family and friends
Crazy paranormal drama and humorous romance with strong female friendships thrown in – a fun and fabulous read

Tessa Randolph was shocked when her landlord boyfriend, Silas St. Onge, asked her to be completely honest and tell him about her job as a reaper! Uh, that was a secret! How did he figure it out? It probably wasn’t a good idea for her to have suggested that Silas should go on a vacation in the same place as her grim reaper convention. She’d been asking for trouble. And apparently he saw enough to figure things out, that she wasn’t a “life insurance agent”. While she squirmed in silence on how to answer, he gave a laugh and she realized he had been joking! Whew! As they were going their separate ways, Tessa’s mouth invited Silas to dinner at her place! Not only could she not cook, her apartment was buried under clothing all over the place, the sink was filled with dishes, and there were clumps of cat hair… and she wasn’t allowed to have a pet in the apartment! What had she done?
After burning the first pot of noodles, she overcooked the second pot but managed to salvage the garlic bread. Having locked the cat away, she was mortified when Pepper was twining herself around Silas’ legs under the table while they ate. She couldn’t even hope that he didn’t notice. This time, when he asked her about her “real” job, she snapped angrily at him and he left right after dinner.
Tessa was sent on a reap mission the next morning to a fancy mansion. She went around to the kitchen and got there just as the man’s spirit was ready to pass through the veil. Before he did, he turned to her and told her the cereal didn’t taste right, then said, “I think you’ll find that I didn’t die of natural causes. I’m sure I was poisoned.” She didn’t notice that Silas had followed her until she turned back to the door and saw him, pale as the cream-colored kitchen walls, with his mouth hanging open in shock.
Unfortunately, Silas, not knowing to avoid cameras as Tessa did, is caught on the security footage and arrested as the primary suspect. Now Tessa must investigate to find the actual murderer or Silas would be convicted falsely! Can she do it?
This was a really good story, letting us see how Tessa and Silas’ relationship was strengthening while he also had stronger suspicions about her job. How will knowing the truth affect them now? Will Silas walk away from their relationship?
Fun and fast read! Tessa is on a reap mission and she is followed by her landlord/ not quite boyfriend. Silas is mistakenly caught on a security tape and arrested. Tessa works on finding the real murderer so that Silas can be released.

I live paranormal and I love humor, so this book was a win win for me. Tessa is a reaper who is still learning and she is hilarious. Silas is her landlord/boyfriend and he desperately wants to figure out her job. Add a serial killer and a mystery.to the mix and you have a delightful afternoon read.
