Ally doesn’t want to have anything to do with werewolves. Kade is a werewolf who wants to do everything to Ally. Just because Ally Rose can turn into a wolf, doesn’t mean that she’s happy about her status as a shape-shifting, occasionally howling, never-butt-sniffing werewolf. As a result, she has only two rules in life: 1) avoid werewolf packs at all costs and 2) stay the hell away from the man … the hell away from the man who turned her against her will. Packs are evil…violent…deadly… And the wolf who turned her is the worst of the worst.
Just because Kade Blackwood is the Alpha’s brother, doesn’t mean he can ignore a direct order — even when it’s something as mundane as packing up an old woman’s belongings and hauling them back to the pack house in Ashwood. But all of his good intentions fly out of the window the moment he steps foot in tiny Pepper, Georgia…and smells her. His mate.
He wants her. Craves her. Aches for her. But first he has to find her…before the wolf hunting Ally gets his paws on her.
Part of the “REAL MEN SHIFT” series:

Don’t Judge Others…..
Ally Rose is keeping a big secret from her bestie Lucy and her grandmother whom she is staying with in the safe little town of Pepper, Georgia….Problem now is that Lucy after mating with Alpha of the Blackwood Pack Mason, wants her grandma packed up and moved to Ashwood and the one that has to get it done is Mason’s is little brother Kade. When Kade steps out of his car in the small town he is struck with a sweet fragrance he and his wolf just won’t ignore and he literally forgets the old lady as he searches for the recipient of said fragrance.
Ally wants nothing to do with any wolf after what she’s been through for the past 8 years running and hiding, now she might have to get her go bag and hi-tail it again….Problem is she loves the way this particular wolfman that’s here to get Tessa, looks and smells, it’s nothing like her ex….. Now she has blue vagi, great! LoL
Coincidence to say the least when they arrive at the Blackwood Pack and discover they have much in common with Ally Rose and not in the good way either.
The second book in the Real Men Shift series, Real Men Snarl is a real eye-opening and exciting reads that keeps readers glued to the pages. Aly and Kade are two strong, captivating characters that pull readers into their story and refuse to let go. The relationship between these two characters has quite a few obstacles to overcome but the most difficult one… Ally wants absolutely nothing to do with werewolves is one that evokes sympathy from readers and adds quite a bit of emotional turmoil despite the sizzling and immediate attraction that Ally feels toward Kade.
The plot of this story is fast paced and flows smoothly with enthralling events that keeps readers turning the pages as it adds thrills and suspense story when Ally makes a life altering and emotional decision in order to keep herself safe from her past which also adds danger and excitement to the story.
The authors have created a well-developed and fascinating werewolf world that I will definitely be keeping up with, although I did miss the first one…it’s a good thing I can fix that, right? The story is definitely a standalone story but does involve the characters from Real Men Howl and the Blackwood Pack. I enjoyed the characters and the world immensely and I am looking forward to reading Real Men Growl which is coming in August.
This is a great series. I love the characters and the storylines. Ally is a feisty woman who has been hurt and does not trust werewolves. When she smells Kade a sexy werewolf, she knows that he is her mate. Can Kade convince her to mate with him and can he keep her safe? This is an intriguing story with steamy scenes and laugh out loud moments. I would definitely recommend this book and this series.
A sniff of fate
The emotion and excitement just continues with this second book in the series. These ladies do a wonderful job of finding that magic and pulling you into the story. I love the way granny is so feisty and not shy at all. I aspire to follow in her shoes. This couple was always meant to be, but thanks to a stinky evil doer it is an uphill battle. Good thing for them ghost kitty is to the rescue. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, with this pair of authors I expect it to be enjoyable.
This book is just as engaging as the first. I really liked Tessa, feisty old woman! I enjoyed Ally’s character. I could definitely get why she was so leery of other wolves. So often things can be dealt with if we’d only say something sooner.
I enjoyed the writing. It flowed. The book was a good length that kept my attention. The pacing worked. I laughed a little, my heart pounded a little and I even think I held my breath. It was nice to see the characters from the first book make an appearance. I think this book could be read as a stand alone, but the other book helps create an understanding and connection that you wouldn’t get otherwise.
There is language and adult stuff that may make you blush.
A put upon Beta meets his abused, loan wolf mate and has to convince her she is safe with him
Real Men Snarl, picks up from Real Men Howl leaves off. Kade is sent to pack up Lucy’s grandma and gets side tracked by the sent of his mate. She elusive, a week of hunting has yielded only a pony tail holder. Lucy is getting inpatient, so Mason is impatient, so Kade decides to risk a shift and let his wolf find their mate, and find her he does, which results in car vs wolf accident.
Ally has spent the last, almost decade looking over her shoulder and ready to run at a moments notice. Running into Lucy and being taken in my Grandma Tess have given her a a place to call home and a family again. Lucy found a man on her trip home and is not coming back. Grandma Tess is going to join them, leaving Ally adrift, thought she knows she is more than welcome to come to. She is reluctant to leave the small town she is hiding in.
A strange wolf’s sent has caught her wolfs attention. Ally wants to run from it and her wolf wants to run towards it. Then that wolf gets hit by are car right in front of her. He says he is her mate. While she doesn’t believe that, the sent of the past sends her to the Blackwood pack in fear. The Blackwood pack is nothing like the Riverson Pack. Kade is nothing like Brian, who also tried to claim her as mate.
Fast paced and a little steamy. Loved Kade and Ally. The remnants of the Riverson Pack aren’t done causing trouble for the Blackwood pack.
What a great continuation to this series. I must say that I really like Kade’s story way better than is brother Mason. I guess his tenacity pay off he was able to break down Ally walls little by little and I like also how patient he was towards her as well. As for Lucy grandma she was freaking hilarious. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read filled with lots of intrigue, action, and of course steamy romance. Looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Intense and still heartwarming, I got wrapped up in the romance that built up between Ally and Kade, but even more involved in the mystery of Ally’s past and what had her so scared. The story is deep, lots of emotional distress and the constant wondering about the strange wolf scent. There are parts in the middle where the story drags but it gets better! Tessa is a hoot, the kind of old lady that I aspire to be. I love the steady movement of the main story and can see where it might grow from. I would love to see what happened to Rachel and also maybe have Gavin hook up with the twin. It could happen, I’m just putting my plot projections out there, lol. It’s a really well told and fully developed and well written book. You should read it too!
I really enjoy anything that Celia Kyle writes. You get the nice push of steamy romance with just the faintest hint of dark to shade things in. They are generally pretty quick and easy reads, and a nice way to spend an afternoon.
Ally was attacked by a werewolf that thought that she was his mate and turned into a werewolf herself. Ever since she was able to get away from that evil man, she’s worked very hard to stay away from him, going so far as to keep a go-bag packed so that all she has to do is grab it and go. But now she’s settled in with her best friend and her grandmother, and she’s content. But then she smells wolves in the air. One is her tormentor, and one is a stranger.
Kade is one of the leaders for the Blackwood pack. Now that his brother has a mate, he’s been sent down to help move her grandmother up to live with them. While he’s doing that, he smells his mate, and finds out it’s Ally, but she wants to have absolutely nothing to do with him.
This is a good story. I loved getting to see Charlie again. And the old lady is just a hoot. I can’t get enough of her and I hope we have more of her in the next book!
An awesome story. I know their are some wolves in stories that are very bad, but to be hurt like that from someone who is suppose to be your mate. It’s cruel beyond anything. Now she has found her true mate and he is so different. I wounder can it be, truly be the way it is suppose to be. I hope that Kade can show Ally the way it is with true mates. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Ally and Kade…
Although I haven’t read book one(a mistake I plan to fix ASAP), I didn’t feel like I was “out of the loop” reading book two first. Characters from book one make an appearance in this story but none are the main characters. I loved Ally. She had an inner strength that helped her survive. Kade was her perfect match. He was willing to listen and take his cues from her reactions instead of pushing too soon. Despite loving both Ally and Kade, I think Charlie may have completely won my heart. I will be waiting patiently for the next book in this series.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
Kade had a simple job, but that went out the window as soon as he smelled his mate.
Ally has a real bad experience w/ wolves.
Now Kade will have hard time convincing Ally that they belong together.
Good luck Kade! You will need it.
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Ally is a wolf but is determined to stay away from other wolves. Her past experience with them was not good. Since escaping that from her “pack”, she’s been keeping low profile. But now, in the small town where she found a family and peace, she not only finds traces of another wolf, she finds traces of the wolf she’s been running from.
Kade was supposed to help the grandmother of his brother’s mate move back to Ashtown where the pack lived. Only once he arrived in the small town, he scented his mate and had been looking for her for a week. With pressure from his brother to get the job done ASAP, Kade shifts to make finding his mate faster. When he finds her, he finds out that she’s not ready to be his mate and that someone is after her. Will he be able to keep her safe and show her that they belong together?
Ally ran when her ex boyfriend essentially forced her to become a werewolf and then demeaned her because he realised she was not his mate. She managed to escape and found safety with an old school friend and her sparky grandmother.
When her friend moved to another town, she gets a shock when the man sent to help her adopted grandmother move is a werewolf! She assumes he is just like the a&%hole she ran from. However, Kade is a nice guy, wrapped in a protective and possessive male shell! When it’s clear that Ally is running from something he makes it his mission to protect her but also to show her that not all packs were blood thirsty and dysfunctional like the one she witnessed.
I loved how patient and understanding Kade was, all whilst still pressing his suit with Ally. He gave her space to think, just not to run off! Ally is a great mix of spunky, independent, naïve and strong willed.
Grandma Tessa and little Charlie, OMG they almost stole the show. The “baddie” was a tad 2 dimensional but only because I felt we didn’t get to meet him long enough to real build up my hatred of him LOL!
Kade was a great alpha male for Ally! He was strong and possessive. Ally was sweet and caring. I loved how their relationship came together and developed. Ally has suffered so much before that Kade can’t even imagine. The Blackwood pack and Charlie were able to show Ally how a real pack was supposed to be. And Tessa – she was an absolute hoot!! This was a fantastic collaboration.
If I’m going to read paranormal I just love to read my shifters. There is something about the raw energy that you get from them. Their power and need to protect also doesn’t hurt in a hero either. One of my favorite paranormal authors is Celia Kyle so I was glad to enjoy this series by her and Marina Maddix.
This one is so good. I really enjoyed both Kade and Ally. He’s doing his job when he finds his mate. Unfortunately, his mate comes with many challenges. The biggest is that people are tracking her. Because Kade’s orders have come from his alpha he knows his first loyalty is to his mate.
Their ride or should I say run is fun to read about. I really enjoyed them and their story and I’m so glad that I read it. This is the second book in the series and like the first one, the romance/love moves fast. But we get that with shifters. They usually know right away who their partner in life is. If only real life was so easy.
I really think you’ll enjoy this fast-paced well-written book. The whole series is good and I enjoyed them.
Great second story in the series, leaving me wanting more. I enjoy the writing and the humor that these authors are familiar for. Pretty much will buy anything they write.
As much as I enjoyed the story this was a letdown after book one.
Without giving any spoilers I cannot write a full review.
As that is not fair to anyone, I will say though I enjoyed it, there was nothing special about this story as I had just read two books with extremely similar plots.
As brave as I thought Ally was, I was also very annoyed at her selfishness in not speaking up before she endangered others. An innocent was hurt.
I get really aggravated when someone withholds information that could save someone from being taken unawares.
Ally does this. Knowing how bad Brian is, she doesn’t tell Kade, even when she suspects he is following them and therefore just brings trouble to innocent people.
Kade also knew something was frightening Ally but did not push her for information to protect his pack so he has to bear some of the blame too.
I liked the linking between book one and two with what had happened in the past.
I loved going back to visit this group of characters and getting another brothers story.
Will be interesting to see if Rachel is Gavin’s mate in the next book.
This book was kindly given to me by the author but I read it through KU.
