Real Good Man, #1 in the Real Duet series, is the first book I’ve read by Meghan March, but it won’t be the last.
I enjoyed the book tremendously. It was a novella, so it was ultra short, but also steamy and sexy with intrigue and the promise of a suspenseful backstory.
March started us with humor right off the bat and kept it coming throughout the entire saga. Add in some small town gossipy drama and it made a great story.
Banner Regent was the beautiful, humorous, independent, sex loving, relationship phobic girl born and raised in New York City. She accidentally developed a fun loving text communication with a friend of a friend, whom she never met in person, that was born and raised in a small Kentucky town. Enter Logan Brantley, a hunky alpha, shop owner, and the biggest catch in town. He’s avoided anything relationship oriented but once he met Banner in person he was hooked.
“She’s the game changer. And now I’ve got my work cut out for me to make sure I win the game.”
March took us through their different relationship/one night stand philosophies, the challenges between big city and small town realities and the genuine baggage each had to overcome in order to address a potential HEA.
Other than the length, the main drawback was that it was part one of a same character series; thus it read like I only finished a few chapters of a novel. It has a slight cliff hangar, but nothing too dramatic that has me throwing things at the wall. Thankfully I waited to read this until the second part was already released.
Novella’s are hard for me to rate higher than a 3 since it’s difficult to obtain depth, dimension and/or complexity with so little time; however, March was able to develop the characters and storyline creating a strong foundation with the promise of additional depth and suspense in part two.
All in all, Real Good Man was off to a great start and I’m looking forward to their conclusion in Real Good Love.
Another great read by Meghan. This book has characters that are familiar from her other series. This is a two-part release. The second is scheduled for mid-January. She is one of my one-click authors!
This is easily one of my favorite Meghan series, and absolutely my favorite couple of all of her couples that she’s created from her brilliant mind. I need to do a re-read, and I hardly ever re-read books!
I am so in love with Logan and Banner! I love their banter. The constant references to Marvel comics are great. I was so into this book I lost track of time! How they are so similar while coming from 2 different worlds is so cool. The story line was great… And that cliffhanger was hilarious! I think that’s the only time a cliffhanger hasn’t made me mad. 5 Stars for sure! Now I can’t wait to get to the next one!!!

Seriously!! What. A. Cliffhanger !!!
Omg Meghan March is such a tease !
This book was great. I want my on Logan !!
Logan and Banner are absolutely hilarious!
I cannot wait till the conclusion of there story !
Fantastic work!!
I just discovered Logan has his own story and Banner is great for him.
He’s a country boy, veteran, sought-after bachelor who owns his own garage where he restores old cars. He’s real. He’s sexy. And he’s got a thing for a city girl.
She’s a city girl through and through. She’s the fun time girl, sexy and passionate. She’s smart and funny and has no filter. She’s also somewhat of a hot mess.
Texting back and forth leads to a one night stand. Because he’s from Kentucky and she’s from NYC. But her disaster brings her to his town and lights things up.
I enjoy the sexy banter and her confidence. He’s the local boy all the single ladies want and is somewhat “wholesome” until her.
Rom-com meets New York sass and Southern Comfort
Logan Brantley is a sexy small town man with a heart of gold and a dirty mouth. Banner Regent is a brazen New York socialite with a terrible habit of having one night stands. Logan and Banner became quick friends… via text. The opportunity arises for them to meet in person, and they end up having a very steamy night together. The next morning, however, there is a misunderstanding and the two separate on bad terms. Banner’s luck takes a turn for the worst when she can no longer stay in her Manhattan apartment due to her lack of income. She takes up residence in her friend’s grandmother’s house; which just so happens to be in the small town Logan lives in. Can a big city girl with an scandalous life survive the small town rumor mill? If you are looking for a hilarious read with swoon worthy moments, I highly recommend Real Good Man! This is one of my favorite Meghan March books!Meghan March Real Good Man
Devoured in a day… Hot, alpha and swoon worthy Logan is all MAN. Strong and funny Banner definitely needs a Real Good Man. Sparks fly, chemistry explosive and extra panties needed. Another fabulous read by Meghan March. Highly recommend this duet.
First book by Meghan March I have read and I am totally hooked!!!
I loved this book. Loved Banner and Logan. It was a great book. Banner had me giggling throughout the book. I just loved her honesty and how she had no filter. Logan….WHAT A REAL MAN!!
Another excellent book from Meghan March. I listened to the audio version of this book which was totally amazing and the narrators just brought the book to life for me. I loved Logan and Banner. Logan was the dirty talking alpha that you just had to love and Banner was all sassy and chic. Together these two had amazing chemistry. I loved the suspense Meghan added to the story and that coupled with the humor, romance and hot sex made this an awesome novel. I loved it.
I will admit that this book started off a little rocky for me and I had a hard time liking Banner and feeling empathetic for her situation. But once she ends up in Logan’s hometown I started to like her more. I feel like I like this book more than Meghan’s other duets.
Logan is from Holly’s hometown from the Dirty Billionaire series and Banner if a friend of Creighton’s sister. They have a texting relationship and Logan is the only male friend she has that she hasn’t had a one night stand with. Then Logan texts her one day to tell her he’ll be in Manhattan and wants to see her. When Logan and Banner finally meet, Logan can’t believe how much they have in common and how much he likes being around Banner. Banner can’t help the attraction they feel and one thing leads to another. Banner’s life is turned upside down and she ends up staying in Holly’s grandmas house that happens to be in the same town as Logan.
I really liked Logan. I like that he works hard and tries to be more than the whispers of his small town. Always part of the town gossip. When he finds out Banner is in his town he can’t help but to go see her. He wants her. He’s looking for something permanent and he makes it very clear that he wants something with her. Banner has only had one night stands and has the nerve to be offended when people consider her a whore. The more time she spends with Logan, the more she thinks about having more with him. Being in a small town shows a different side to her, one that I really liked. I’m not sure if Logan is changing her or if the real Banner is coming out without having all these insecurities surrounding her.
I look forward to reading the next book after that cliffhanger. I really enjoyed this book.
Oh my, how do I being to explain how much I LOVED this book! Banner is a fun, sexy, no holds barred tell-it-like-it-is heroine while Logan is a hot, sexy as hell, dirty talking hero that pulls you into their story and you just can’t put it down! I was pulled in with each word written, every page I turned and each chapter I completed that I finished the book in one day! Meghan March you truly are an amazing author and you never disappoint! Thank you for another outstanding story
I am a big fan of Meghan March and loved her Beneath series. For some reason this book just didn’t grab me like her other books. I really don’t get the premise of the book, from the way they met to Banner moving to Kentucky, which just didn’t seem believable to me. I did like the texting back and forth between the two characters, it was cute. I like the characters but I just didn’t sense any big emotional spark between the two characters.
I really wanted to like this book but I regretfully think it’s just OK. Probably won’t buy the sequel.
Meet cute story. Enjoyed the characters. Would recommend
Hysterical characters. Loved this book! Incredible writer.
Meghan March never disappoints. Great story, great characters, great dialogue.
Hot hot hot couldn’t put it down!
