I never planned on going back to Hung Island, Georgia. Ever.
I was a top notch Were agent for the secret paranormal Council and happily living in Chicago where I had everything I needed – a gym membership, season tickets to the Cubs and Dwayne – my gay, Vampyre best friend. Going back now would mean facing the reason I’d left and I’d rather chew my own paw off than deal with Hank.
Hank the … deal with Hank.
Hank the Tank Wilson was the six foot three, obnoxious, egotistical, perfect-assed, best-sex-of-my-life, Werewolf who cheated on me and broke my heart. At the time, I did what any rational woman would do. I left in the middle of the night with a suitcase, big plans and enough money for a one-way bus ticket to freedom. I vowed to never return.
But here I am, trying to wrap my head around what has happened to some missing Weres without wrapping my body around Hank. I hope I don’t have to eat my words and my paw.
***This novella originally appeared in the Three Southern Beaches collection released July of 2014. This is an extended version of that story.

An unforgettable return to home.
After a year apart, Essie and Hank meet again and the sparks fly. Add in a vampyre best friend and a sassy granny for some comic relief, a trio of nasty humans (maybe) to be the evil doers, with a threesome of she wolves who apparently never left high school and prepare for an entertaining journey. From page one …
Loved this book. Dwayne and Granny are my heroes. Totally enjoyed the play on words and yes I love acronyms for a lot of things needing to be said but must limit “characters “. Here’s to WTF…..BAM (Baying at the moon)
I love this series, it’s a great read.
Loved this book! The author never disappoints. She mixes unexpected characters with outrageous flaws and some smoking hot attraction. She adds in a bit of danger and angst and always cooks up a great read!
I don’t know why I waited so long to pick this audiobook up! Very relatable and likable characters and storyline. Humorous scenes, love interest, and a mystery to solve along with a fight scene. Peterman books are highly entertaining and a great escape! The narrator did a good job!
Essie is a werewolf special agent with a broken heart and trust issues. When she is sent on a mission in Hung Georgia, where her cheating ex is sherif and alpha of the pack, she knows she’s walking on thin ice. Luckily her 300 years old gay vampire dragqueen is going with her and she gets to see her grandmother.
Things in her past isn’t what it …
The stupid was too much. The writing hurts my heart. I hated every word put down. The fact that the main character is a dingbat idiot doesn’t help. Every character in the book is dumb as a box of rocks. I wouldn’t read the next book for money–well maybe for money.
If you haven’t yet experienced Robyn’s work, you are missing out. Her wit, sarcasm and heat are unparalleled. Her paranormal works are hot and hysterically irreverent. They are a true escape from what ails you!
If you like a funny mystery with romance and a sassy grandma, this is the book for you!
I absolutely loved this book!
The action is fast paced, the characters are great. I really can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I’ve read this series, and am working my way through the Hot, Damned series. Will read her others series when I’m done.
I’ve rarely met with an author as consistently delightful. Well written, creatively plotted, wonderful characters, and a take on the supernatural that delights.
I can see some people getting offended, but if you are able to …
This story was laugh out loud funny.
This was a wonderful little story, a female were who left her pack because she thought the man she loved who happened to also be her Alpha had cheated on her and she because an agent for the council to enforce the rules is sent back to her home town to find out why there were missing female were, she takes along her
BFF who happens to be a gay …
This does have some sexual content.
I was almost at the end of chapter when I was laughing so hard there were years streaming down my face! The antics this little group does, especially granny and Dwayne are hysterical. I love that the author keeps the cursing to a bare minimum. Essie is such a great character, strong, proud, protective, loving, …
This story made me want to be best friends with the characters. I laughed and felt lighter hearted . My favorite kind of entertainment.
