Tall, dark, and handsome is an understatement when it comes to John Day. With rugged good looks, his ever present plaid shirt, and a dog named Babe, John is a modern alpha male lumberjack.
After his favorite neighbor rents out her beach cabin for the winter, John finds himself playing fireman and tour guide to Diane Watson, a beautiful brunette with her own messy past and recent battle scars.
battle scars.
Will he be ready to fall in love? Or will he go back to his old, flirty ways?
Hold onto your heart as John Day tells his story in this male POV contemporary adult romance/romantic comedy.
Ready to Fall is the first novel in the Wingmen series, a spin-off from Modern Love Stories. Each book is a standalone with no cliffhanger.

So many F words in the first 3 pages I quit reading
Enjoyed reading it.
I enjoyed this story so much, I immediately purchased the sequel.
John is woken up by the smell of smoke and by his dog babe and a blaring alarm coming from his next door neighbor & friends house Maggie; only problem she is out of town. John was surprised when he found a stranger trying to open the widows to let the smoke out and John opened the closed flue.. let’s just say Diane & Johns first meeting was less …
My first Daisy Prescott. I’ll admit what caught my attention was the beard on the cover, but it was a fun, quick read. I especially liked that it was all from the male POV. I’m glad it’s the start of a series, because that means there is plenty more Wingmen where John came from!
I really can’t recommend this book. It started our ok, but there is just too much sex in it for me. Once Diane and John got together, it’s almost all sex scenes. The plot is pretty predictable. Just not my kind of book.
It is unbelievable in the first person voice of a man. His inner thoughts are too feminine. It follows typical thinking and desires of a female so in that aspect it hits it the target of the typical romance reader but it is unconvincing as a man’s point of view. The main character’s physical description is purely masculine but his inner thoughts …
I liked the setting and believable characters I can relate to.
Foul language
Loved
I loved the first half of the book. Then the hero blew it. Badly. Un fogivably. I’m sure they will reconcile and live happily ever after but I don’t care. Repeat unforgivale.
Pleasant romance about very nice people getting to know each other. The fact that they don’t immediately fall into bed is a refreshing turn from most romance novels. Liked how they become friends first.
While Daisy’s creation might be a little slow paced at times, the overall story content make the reader turn a page because neat things keep taking place … likes the walks off the beaten path in the forest, getting caught doing the deed, coming to the rescue to save the day, stuff like that.
Yes, a very nice read … just don’t give up on …
A fun read….I read the next two in the series as well
I enjoyed this book
Dragged a lot. Almost put it down a few times. For as long as it is, I felt like the characters didn’t grow much
It was a pleasure to read a romance with very well done characters. Also, it was a real romance with a relationship that grew, rather than trite love at first sight with gratuitous sex. It is a very nicely done romance with a happily ever after. I particularly enjoyed the male point of view. Having spent many years in the area, I was able to …
I loved reading about the characters in this book. The story was very believable and i could easily picture myself as one of the characters.
Nice read
Good romantic read
