It’s just a little bit of experimenting between friends, right? After mistakenly kissing a straight guy, Reggie expects Shohei to run the other way—not continue their fledgling friendship like nothing happened. Now if only Reggie can stop thinking about how Shohei’s lips tasted.Things are even more complicated when Shohei becomes curious about guys. Unable to resist temptation. Reggie volunteers … temptation. Reggie volunteers to help him experiment with his newfound curiosity. But what about the feelings Reggie can’t seem to suppress when he’s around Shohei?
A geeky, slow burn bisexual awakening MM romance with a HEA and no cliffhangers set in Honolulu, Hawaii.

When Shohei met Reggie, he thought they were working their way to a great friendship. Until the day that Reggie kissed him and showed Shohei that Reggie had been looking at them from a different point of view. Up to this point Shohei had never even thought of another man in the romantic fashion… but there is something about Reggie that even weeks after that kiss that has Shohei thinking about him. When Shohei decides that he wants to “experiment” and see just how far he is willing to go, Reggie volunteers to help him out. But what happens when one is done with the friends with benefits arrangement and wants more, will someone end up hurt after all?
This is the best out of the three IMO. Very similar to book one, but this story picked up a lot faster than the previous two did. Some really nice drama and some steamy naughty bits, I give this 4 stars.
I’d read just a few books written by Crystal Lacy before, so when the opportunity for this ARC arises I jumped on it. The story is about how Reggie helped Shohei to find his sexual identity, falling hopelessly in love with him. After a series of hot scenes, awkward situations and misunderstandings, Shohei accepted that he reciprocated Reggie’s love, getting together a really sweet HEA. The plot is cute, endearing and low angst letting you enjoy a nice reading. The book can be read as a standalone, but after finished the book I really would like to read the first 2 books in the series. Amazingly sweet!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
First of all I love this series, set in Hawaii, how can you go wrong!!! What a romantic place!! Reggie, bartender, model and all around flirt. Reggie likes to say he isn’t relationship material but that is not because he doesn’t want one, he’s just had so many guys say he isn’t suited for them. When he meets Shohei at a party, they talk gaming and really enjoy each other’s company. Getting together for gaming, Reggie thinks it’s more, but Shohei is straight, at least he thinks he is.
That first kiss, even if a surprise changes Shohei’s perspective. Wanting to “try” things with a guy, these two decide to experiment, nothing more. Telling each other their feelings is not in the cards until it might be too late.
This story is wonderful, sweet, fun, and the friendship turning to love to a possible relationship is a sweet ride!!! This was a fantastic addition to this series!!! This author is definitely a must have when releasing books!! She writes fabulously!!!
Sweet, nerdy, hot!
I liked this book. Really liked it. Crystal is a pro at writing sweet, HOT romances with just a little drama. Shohei and Reggie are great together as friends and even better as lovers. If dirty talk is your thing, it’s off the charts in the book. Like woah!
And the best part of this series – characters of color! Crystal shows just how diverse Hawaii really is and includes details of different cultures. It’s a really nice touch.
Definitely read this series, especially if you are looking for feel good romance. Happy reading!
I Just finished this one and loved it! It was a super sweet romance between two people who tried to be just friends but discovered their feelings for one another were beyond that. It’s about a guy discovering he isn’t as strait as he thought he was when he meets a guy named reggie who instantly becomes his new bestfriend after discovering their equal love for video games. The chemistry between these two was perfect and the story went at a perfect pace. I really enjoyed the charcaters and found these twos interactions with one another to be absolutely adorable. It was very well written and very well told. Not really any angst in this one just lots of sweet and cute steamy romance.
Fitting right in with the sweetness, the self-discovery, and the happiness of the first two books, Ready for You shows us two men who started something they didn’t expect to grow into their very own forever. The angst was minimal, but when it was there it was absolutely there. Some of the magic of the descriptions in the series were muted in this story, but not enough to truly bother me. Overall, the men were engaging and frustrating in equal measure, though their likability won me over in the end. I’m a huge fan of the series and the author and wasn’t disappointed by Reggie and Shohei.
