I’ve been reading this series out of order, but they really are standalone. It would probably help me to understand relationships better, but it was fine. Brandy is the head of the FBI taskforce to bring down The Eye. She is kidnapped and given as a slave to a man in the organization. Lukas, Bull, is a gentle man who wants to be her Daddy Dom. But Brandy is going to bring down the organization from the inside. This was a brilliant book and I had to wait to the end to figure out who everyone is. This was a new author for me, and I have not read any of this series – however this did not detract from the story at all, I found it read just fine as a stand-alone. This is a great suspense story as Brandy get the opportunity to go undercover unexpectedly. Brandy is smart, resourceful and spunky, which I love. Who wouldn’t love Lukas, he is a diamond in the rough, we really feel his conflict as their relationship advances and can admire his integrity. There are elements of power exchange in this book. All is not as it seems, will Brandy and Lukas make it out at all and can their relationship survive it if they do? Great writing, flowed well, I enjoyed it.
