Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. While I know TLR series isn’t for everyone. I love it and I’ve read them and re read them several times. Razor is an asshole through most of this book. However, he redeems himself many times over. Beth, oh you fall in love with her and her true forgiveness throughout all the books.
Razer’s Ride is book one in Jamie Begley’s MC series, and surprised me in both good and bad ways. With everything you expect from an MC and much more, Jamie has succeeded in grabbing my attention and pulling me into a world I don’t want to leave anytime soon.
Summary:
Beth Cornett has always been a good girl. Being the daughter of a small-town preacher, she had sky-high expectations to meet, and even after her father’s death, her good-girl ways are ingrained. That said, it’s common sense for her to stay clear of the rough and tumble bikers that moved into the town a few years ago. Unfortunately for Beth, she’s caught the eye of Razer, a biker as beautiful as a God, but as dangerous as they come. Razer is determined to tempt the pretty woman into his bed. Beth can literally hear the litany of rants and sermons from her father in her head anytime she’s close to Razer, let alone when he has his hands on her. Beth has always wanted to be a little wild and reckless, and this is her golden opportunity. But Beth’s walk on the wild side isn’t without its obstacles, and the world she’s walking into is very different from any she’s known. Razer isn’t about to change for any woman. He’s ex-military turned biker, enjoys partying with his brothers, and the booze and women that play into that. It’s a life that suits him. So when their lifestyles clash, Beth runs with only the pain of betrayal in heart. Despite needing his club, Razer realizes he also needs the big-hearted woman in his life, but too late. Luckily for Razer, Beth needs the club, too, after a killer makes it clear she’s his next target. Becoming embroiled in club life is impossible when you’re in the heart of it, but can Beth handle the infidelity that’s inevitable with being with Razer? With her heart and head in turmoil, Beth has some hard decisions to make, but will the choice be taken from her when a showdown between the club and a killer becomes apparent?
I’m an odd duck in that I love MC stories, but not always what’s happening in them. I’m all for a club to be dangerous and skating the edge of the law, but infidelity really bugs me. Lol. It’s the one thing I have to weigh before starting a book. Can I handle it? Or not? Luckily, I put my trust in Ms. Begley and she saw me through the angst and delivered a story I didn’t want to end. Beth was sweet, loving, loyal, and giving, but incredibly innocent in some things. I loved her. And her childhood?? Yowza!! I cried for her. Razer was the dirty, sexy biker we all can’t resist. I loved him, but thought he was a jerk for most of the story. He wanted Beth, insisted she understand the club, their rules, and abide by them, but he took his own sweet time reciprocating. He was selfish and I almost gave up on him. Thankfully, he won me over. Supporting cast was amazing. I particularly like Evie, Shade, Pastor Dean, Cash, and Sex Piston. I feel fact, I really want Pastor Dean to have his HEA. That would rock! Overall, the storyline was great. I enjoyed the journey along with Beth, but had a few close calls with heart attacks along the way. Lol. There were several editing errors throughout, but only a few were enough to break my flow in reading. I got invested in the characters. I only wish the story was longer and that Razer’s past was more in depth. I’m looking forward to reading more about the Last Rider’s and falling even more for them. <3
Wow! Jamie Begley had me by the heart thru this book. The entire emotional line – happy, sad, gutted, mad, ticked off, hurt, infuriated and laughing my rear-end off. That’s a lot for 1 book. Razer is part of The Last Riders MC, Beth is pretty much innocent, but related to someone making an outrageous claim about someone having to do with The Last Riders. All I will say is it is the club is a little off the reservation with their “relationships”, and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it, but I quickly fell in love with the characters, no matter how much I wanted to throttle them at times, and it was SO totally worth the read.
The first time I read this book I went down a deep hole and like 2 weeks later I’d read every book from Jamie Begley’s interconnected MC books. I went down a very deep hole. I loved that hole I must say. So because of that I have now had to reread them so I can write reviews for each of the books without getting the plots mixed up and thinking something happened in this book when in reality it was a different one. So I’m having to reread them all which I really don’t mind because I love this series. So it’s a mini heaven for me. I am going to try and make it spoiler free as possible and I will mark it spoiler when I get to that section.

This is Beth and Razer. This is my fourth re read of this series, I dont know how i missed leaving a review. Love this series
Razer and the Last Riders are a MC in Treepoint
Beth is the Good girl in town that catches Razers eye. He breaks her heart and then realizes his mistake. Can he make up for it? Good read
I think this is my favorite in this series and one of my favorite series
I love the Last Rider books!
I have to say that Razer really pissed me off and I thought with all my hatred for him that his “goody two shoes” Beth should’ve walked away and never looked back. But then I kept reading and, boy, did I really fall in love with Razer and the rest of the crew. Yes, he did her dirty a few times, but I truly think his heart was in the right place (he was just an idiot). This was first experience with Jamie Begley’s stories and I am ready for more! The Last Riders are so brash and so in your face that you can’t help but fall for them. The story flowed really well and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for these characters, especially can’t wait for more awkwardness between Shade and Lily.
WARNING: This motorcycle club LOVES its sexual freedom. I mean, BIG TIME. Members engage in numerous sexual acts with multiple partners both at the same time and/or one-on-one. No one is forced to do anything they don’t want to but if you’re a female and you want to become a member (because females can be members in this MC) you have to have sex with six of the eight original members of the club. (Some manage to work around this requirement but you’ll have to read to find out.) If this doesn’t sound like your kind of read, stop here and move on.
I have to admit, I was prepared for most everything this book had to offer. I scoured reviews before I dipped my toe in this MC’s water because I was nervous about the fact that I might break my kindle if things got rough. Thankfully, I handled it with grace, even if the main male character (too hard to call him the Hero) engaged in some cringe-worthy behavior… continuously throughout the book.
So yea, the main male, Razer is to put it nicely… a jerk. He very much enjoys the freedom his MC, The Last Riders, provides him and he’s quite upfront with the heroine, Beth, when he firsts shows interest in her. He told her he wasn’t a one-woman man- although he used a few more colorful words than that but for some odd reason, Beth did not understand what he was trying to say. At. All.
When Beth was provided with that first “visual” of what Razer meant, my stomach lurched. It hurt, and badly. I was so embarrassed for her and was very ticked at three of the participants. Really Evie? Beth agrees to hire you and you still do that? You told Beth you and Razer weren’t together… that should also have included together together.) I seriously wanted to smack the b****!
And then no one visits Beth in the hospital? Ouch. Then her getting rejected at the club after being released? Double ouch.
I can totally understand Beth’s reactions to the betrayals. I liked the way she handled them but she was forewarned and still went back for more. She was obviously naive but was such a sweet, caring, beautiful woman. Heck, she’s the town caretaker for Pete’s sake!
Someone I can’t stop questioning- Pastor Dean. What was up with him? You say you are going to propose to Beth but since you believe she fell for Razer first, you’re offering her up on a silver platter to him? Even after Evie told you everything that happened? I seriously doubt his feelings for her when he makes it seem like it’s a returning the favor type of thing. Something is definitely up with him…
Absolutely adored Sex Piston and her girls for throwing down for Beth! LOVED that scene!!
HATED Sam the witch!
Very interested in a possible Shade and Lily book.
Razer coming to his senses was too little too late for me but of course, I’m not Beth. I would’ve liked to see him (and other club members) suffer more. It’s sad that it took the help of Pastor Dean for Razer to see the error of his ways. He humiliated her, once again.
Razer’s Ride was kind of a guilty pleasure for me. It was a definite page turner. I think I just may have to pick up book two, Viper’s Run, later today!
Jamie Begley is one of my favorite authors. I love most of her books but Razer’s Ride is one of my favorites.
Steaming Hot (fan please), this one’s a Scorcher!! *****
This series is addictive. Once you start with Razer, Oh My! There is just so much more. You will truly fall in love with this series. Great Read! Steam Hot!
Remember, even if it is not your cup of tea, try to keep an open mind.
When preacher’s daughter Beth Cornett catches the eye of the local MC member Razer, she knows it isn’t a good idea. When Beth falls for him regardless of the other women throwing themselves at him and sees first hand what a bad idea it is when she leaves her heart shredded at his feet. Razer has never apologized for his lifestyle and he isn’t about to start but the look on Beth’s face makes him feel gutted. They weren’t together so why does he want to run to her and hold her and promise her anything? When Beth becomes a target and Razer will do anything to protect her but how is he going to protect himself from her? Great MC series that I am enjoying immensely. I wasn’t too excited about the multiple partners in this book as that is not something I really like to read about, but the story and the characters overshadowed that for me. I loved the way that Beth was able to bring a side to Razer that he didn’t even know he had. I honestly can’t wait for the next book.
Great series!!
The best series ever. Highly recommend.
another great read in this series!!!
