Six months ago Coralyne James was found beaten and clinging to life alongside a desolate country road. Left with a rare form of amnesia, she now struggles through debilitating migraines, and nightmarish visions of a life she can’t recall. During a routine exam, Coralyne meets Dr. Maxwell Hough who is taking the medical world by storm with his breakthrough neurological treatments. Fascinated by … Fascinated by Coralyne’s maladies, Dr. Hough invites her to be a part of a medical trial held at his lab in Valdez, Alaska. Praying three months trapped in the deep snow surrounding Ravyn Manor will hold the key to easing her pain, Coralyne agrees.
For reasons, she can’t explain, walking the halls of the manor seems to cause ghostly recollections to claw at the edges of her mind. It’s as if they are leading her to… something. Following their haunting trail, she stumbles onto a series of recordings that reveal a horrifying truth about the respected doctor.
As her blocked memories finally break free, Coralyne is crippled by the fear she’ll never escape the horrors of the Ravyn’s nest.

Effing AMAZING is what I thought after I read this book. I got the book in June and said I can read it in early July in time for the tour but I am so kicking myself for not reading it right when I received it because this is one PHENOMENAL PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER! I mean it had me right from page one with all the mystery and what poor Coralyne went through. I mean she suffers from migraines that debilitate her to scary nightmares she can’t decipher.
Then she meets Dr Maxwell and everything is about to change for her. He is in the neurology field and offers her help. She has the opportunity to go to Alaska and stay at Ravyn Manor and find out what is bothering her and maybe get her memory back that she so desperately wants.
Only when she gets to the Manor she has worse nightmares and migraines and her visions are showing her something she has no idea about. Will she find the truth out or is danger lurking closer to the surface than she expects?
This is the first time I have read any book by Billie Dale and this will not be my last. I do not know how I had never heard of this author but after reading Rayvn I have no become a fan.
I had no expectations when I first started to read this book but once I started reading I was drawn in from the start and was taken on a mind blowing ride. I must say that right before you get sucked in there is a pause in the story where I had trouble trying to stay involved with the story but once it came back on track OMG it was like a roller coaster.
This psychological ride was done so well that I could actually see it in my mind as if I was watching it on big screen.
The main character in the book is Carolyn is suffering from amnesia after being severally attacked and only can remember the last six months of her life. After being attacked she is debilitated by horrible migraines. At this time she meets Dr. Maxwell Hough a renowned expert in the neurology field. He invites Carolyn to stay at his home in Alaska to be under his care.
This is where the story jumps out of the book and you will be at the edge of your seat!! You will love this ride and you will be totally surprised about what was really happening because you will not see what is coming.
I can not go into more since I feel like if I do I will not stop writing and I will tell the whole story and I can not spoil anything for you.
I was given this ARC for my honest opinion and my volunteer review.
Thank you Billie Dale for this intense read!!!
The author immediately drew me into Coralyne’s world with her description of the pain she had to deal with her migraines. Those of us that have them can relate to some if not all of her symptoms, plus throw in recovering from a brush with death and amnesia and I was interested to see how things would turn out for Coralyne. Wanting to find a relief to her constant pain and hoping that by stilling one demon she would be able to get to the bottom of her attack and hopefully gain a handle on her past and look forward to having the strength for a future. Her body’s physical reaction to Max plus the almost illusionary feeling that she knew him from her past made Carolyne’s already frayed nerves a bit frazzled.
I was on board for this mystery ride with Carolyne and hoped she would get some assistance with her issues when she got to Valdez. Upon her arrival things seemed to be moving along nicely and then for me things started lagging. Just as I was about to put the book down things started picking up and my interest was recaptured.
Then it seemed like things got a bit repetitious and my interests started waning again, once the journals were discovered things definitely sped up again as more and more of the mystery was revealed. While the writing was solid for me just too many things started getting tossed into the mix. Just when you think it was wrapping up it would take another wild twist, then another, then another at that point I was a bit worn out with the emotional and mental toll that Coralyne was going through. The ending thou will make you go “Wait What?!!?” it’s not a cliff hanger but man wow…is all I will say.

This story kept me turning pages. A journey that went in several directions at the same time. When I thought I had something figured out, I was wrong. The further along I got, the more twisted it got. I held my breath every time Coralyne remembered something and waited for the scene to play out. I recommend this story.

Coralyn can only barely remember the last six months of her life – nothing before that. She has a psychiatrist who treats her regularly and often. and the meds seem to make her sleepy, and even more disoriented.
A neurologist comes to town, who seems somehow vaguely familiar, and offers to take her to a private clinic out of state to treat her, in order to advance his treatments for his wife, who allegedly suffers similar neurological damage.
As strange bits of memory come back to her, Coralyn realizes there is likely no safety for her in the remote locale she has been moved to.
Irregularities with treatment and recall interfere with her daily functioning, but she knows she is not safe.
Sadly for Coralyn, who discovers other names and images of her face, each ally is another threat – until they are not.
There is no truly safe space or friend – even the closest to her betray her – until they seem to be allies. Paranoid schizophrenia perhaps?
The reader finds themselves wondering which way madness lies.
An edge of your seat psychological thriller!

Ravyn is a far cry from this author’s usual writing and I loved it! All the twists and turns keep you gueussing what’s going on until the very end.
Another great escape and a twisted one at that! I am always taken aback in a good way when reading a book by Ms. Dale. She surprises me with the Uber Unexpected! I continue to be a fan! Make sure you start this one early in the day with no distractions. You probably won’t be putting it down! LOVED IT!
OMG! I have never read anything darker by Billie Dale and let me say this was freaking fantastic. It is gripping and talk about the suspense and mystery I don’t even know where to start. It pulled me in and has so many twists and turns that at times you don’t know which way is up. It is beautifully written with extremely unique characters that are beautifully developed. The flow of the story is superb. The end of the story is such a surprise that it blows your mind. This is a must read and you will not be disappointed.

My mind is still spinning from the twists that unraveled. This book was absolutely amazing and once I got sucked in, I had to find out the unknown truth of the past!
Coralyne suffers from amnesia from an almost deadly accident. She’s left with no memory and after extensive research, it’s like she never existed. She agrees to a medical trial in hopes that her memory can be restored. She may end up signing up for more then she bargained for.
I must admit this book took me a while to get sucked into it, but once the truth starts to unfold, I was hooked. This book had an amazing storyline behind it. It’s very original and unique and very much worth reading! I loved that it’s not predictable and you simply have no clue what’s going to happen.
This is a well written book with strong characters and a gripping story line. The author does a fantastic job building the story with the mystery and suspense and kept me guessing with all the twists and turns right to the end. It’s a true page turner that held me fast from start to finish. I loved and highly recommend this book.

So this is my first experience with this particular author and it was by far a very positive one indeed and anyone wondering what genre this falls into this is not a romance, it’s a psychological thriller and a bloody good one at that.
I just couldn’t put this down, I read all through the night completely engrossed and invested in the eventual outcome here.
The brilliantly descriptive prose just pulled me in and the language used here had such a lyrical memorising quality to it.
This really was a fabulous experience and half the time I just didn’t know what to think with the many twists and turns employed throughout the story.
The basic premise here is Coralyne James after a life-altering incident that has left her with amnesia, in therapy and on a daily cocktail of pills also eviction from her home is on the near horizon as her funds are running dry from all her medical bills agrees to groundbreaking experimental treatment at the hand’s of DR Maxwell Hough a renowned expert in the neurology field.
But with Maxwell’s own wife in a coma with a brain injury, Coralyne will need to move into his house in Alaska where his wife resides for treatment where they will be cut off from civilisation for a length of time because of adverse weather conditions.
So this really was a page-turner.
The whole mysterious vibe surrounding Ravyns Nest and its residents was just so tantalising.
Nightmares, strange visions of little girls and a sense of familiarity surround Coralyne in her temporary new home and despite her aversion to touch Coralyne feels at ease and strangely connected to Max almost instantly.
What has she buried and what doesn’t she want to recall as the visions start coming thick and fast this was like a runaway train with no final destination.
Just Brilliant and that final finale just no words, adored every second of this journey.
This one is a book I highly recommend as a psychological thriller it’s not incredibly taxing to decipher but it still really managed to capture my imagination so completely and I adored every single word.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Ravyn.

Wow! This story is fantastic! The writing is so engaging and had me hooked from the start.
Billie Dale sure weaves one heck of a story here. I had so many questions going through my head and with each new nugget dropped I was going out of mind with anticipation of who to trust, what to believe, and how is this story going to pan out. A fantastically twisted story filled with suspense and danger that had me on the edge of my seat from the start.
