I am bound to the dark… and the dark is bound to me.No one can know what I am. But this secret I carry, it isn’t an easy one to hide. It burns within me. It changes me each and every day, making the line between me and the ghosts I love smaller and smaller.Yet no secret can remain hidden forever. The day my brother dies changes everything. I’m commanded to attend the Royal Fae Academy, a place … Royal Fae Academy, a place that wouldn’t welcome someone like me. But as much as I fear what will happen next, I have to find my brother’s killer. No matter the cost.
Danger haunts my every step. Someone here wants me dead. And my brother’s three best friends are determined to protect me from my enemies. Only, they have no idea what I am. Or what I’m capable of doing.
And even though I care for them, and I feel they care for me, I have to keep them away.
Because the dark is where I belong. But these men? They belong in the light.
Even if they don’t know it yet.

This was an incredible read. Esmeray is really one in a kind, quite badass, woman. Once she is set on a goal, nothing and nobody will stop her. Which might leads her to very big troubles or maybe even a death, as it did happen to her brother. She takes what she needs and what she wants. She decide for herself. She not quite get the connection she have for her brother’s friends, while they understand this need they feel. They are set to protect her, while she is set to nit listen to them. Not good mix. Characters are wonderful. Idea amazing, world building unique. It have everything to be loved and admired, and maybe even some more. This new series is just out of this world.
Perfectly written story of the light fae and dark fae Being in the same realm. Great world and perfect characters to go along for the journey. Patiently awaiting the next part of the story. Well done!
Esmeray’s (FMC) brother Rayne warns her at the beginning of this book to not trust anyone. So when she starts at Royal Fae Academy she slowly begins to understand why he told her that. Everyone here is either lying or hiding something including her brothers friends – Lucien, Bron and Dwade. The only ones telling her the truth are the ghosts that she finds throughout this book. I thought the prequel was good but by god this book bypasses that. The plot twists and turns made my head spin from trying to keep up. Still its a flaming brilliant read and that ending was just killer!! Ill be on tenterhooks until the next book comes out now
Another amazing book! This is gonna be an amazing series! I can’t wait for the next book. This one was mind blowing.
So many twists and turns. This book picks up where the novella left off and I am glad for it as I was wondering what would happen next. It has a lot of twists and turns that keep you guessing what will happen next, and I cannot wait for the next installment.
This short read was great! It starts right where the prequel ended and it’s full of twists and turns that keep you interested. Plus the steamy seems were great!
I loved this book from word one the very frustrating cliffhanger ending! The story is well laid out, the characters are engaging, the world has been filled out completely. This book has a high steam level and is not for the faint of heart. All I can say is….bring me more!
Okay first things first: Beware of the cliffhanger!!
The first official book picks up right where the prequel left off- I am hoping that as soon as the second book is released next week that the story will also continue from this book because there are many questions that I need the answers to!!
Wonderful continuation and really needing book two in my hands right about now
What a fantastic read!!! We basically pick right up where the novella ended. Still there lots of unanswered questions. Esmerys has her own secrets to keep, it’s also obvious the people around her do as well. I’m still curious about Esmerys brother Rayne as well. This book does end on a cliffhanger but I’m really excited to see what else is in store for this series. Overall it was a enjoyable and entertaining read and a great start for a new series. As always my review are voluntarily no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Honestly, I was hooked from the synapses. I was a little worried though because some of these academy books start to sound the same, but this author did NOT disappoint. It was both captivating and unique. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last.
Esmeray is our heroine. She is bada**. She’s fierce, independent, hides who she is to the world afraid that if people knew what she really was it would bad for her. She keeps to her ghosts and monsters. She feels alone in the world. Her brother was the only one she felt close to and he was tragically taken away from her. She is on a mission for revenge. Bron, Dwane, and Lucian are her brothers best friends. They are possessive and extremely protective in all the good ways. They don’t know how to be around her because they have mated with her. They haven’t spoken in years. Now they are thrust together. As they try to protect her, it pushes her farther away. Can them come together and figure out the mysteries that got her brother killed? Will she ever fully trust them?
This book is action packed and fast paced. I throughly enjoyed this book. I love all things ghosts. Brings me back to my childhood days telling spooky stories around a campfire. Although this book is way better than any spooky campfire story. There so many secrets and lies that you honestly don’t know what is true and what isn’t. With professors and students who are weird and suspicious you don’t know where to start.
I absolutely NEED book two. If you haven’t read this book, then get to it! You won’t be disappointed.
I both love and hate when a book leaves me completely speechless at the end. This book did exactly that. I feel like the only words I have left are: “No! You can’t leave me there…” This series looks at the light and dark fae in a way I hadn’t considered before, and it’s left me with questions I’m aching to know the answers to. I’m feeling just as desperate as Esmeray to know who and what really killed her brother and what’s going on with his trio of best friends. I need the next book NOW.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author through Black Cat.
Loved this book. The twists and intrigue were entertaining. Esmeray is a fascinating character and the guys are interesting. The ending though keeps you hanging. Can’t wait for the next book.
love this!! the mystery, twists, and the steaminess!! also the mysterious figure in the tunnels? ugh, cliffhangers ….
anxiously awaiting the next installment
Reading the prequel Revere in no way prepared me for Ravage. I admit giving the prequel a 3 star because I had so many questions yet it did intrigue me enough to want to read Ravage. I am so glad I did. Ravage is a definite 5 star read and has me needing more. It offers the reader suspense, mystery, betrayal, mates and hatred. Can she get to the truth? Will she be able to handle the temptation and distraction of her brother’s three best friends or will her fight for revenge push them away? Read to find out what happens when a feisty independent outcast seeks revenge for her brother’s death while his three best friends fight to protect her.
This is a twisted, emotinal, kick butt book! I felt all of Esmerys feeling throughout this book and its frustrating and devastating all at the same time! This book was a really good book and I knew after reading the prequel it would also be a 5 star and I am glad it didn’t disappoint. I cant wait for book 2!!!
Wow – I loved this book and I cannot wait to see what happens next for Esmeray! There is so much to enjoy in this series it is hard to pick a place to start. I will say that I recommend reading the prequel first as it is a good lead-in to the characters and Esmeray preparing for the Royal Fae Academy, as well as an introduction to some of the guys that will be along for the ride.
Everyone here has something to hide – there are so many secrets to expose and a huge mystery to unravel as Esmeray searches for her brother’s killer while trying to stay alive. She can trust no one, everyone (including her brother’s best friends, who were also her friends from their youth) are on her list of suspects for it seems everyone is hiding something or involved in something that they do not want her to discover the truth. The more she tries to dig, the more others fight to keep their secrets buried and the more questions are brought forth. There are many twists and turns throughout this book and each will just draw you deeper into the suspense and mystery of this read.
This book is extremely engaging from the start and the characters are amazing! This book has a slightly darker (I guess more gothic-style) feel to it which I really enjoy. It adds to the world-building and character style and I absolutely love Esmeray’s character…everything about her! She’s not your typical good-girl playing bad, she’s kick-a** and bad all the way. She and the guys are refreshing twists to the “fae-type” characters normally seen in stories. I am looking forward to learning more about the characters and seeing the relationships grow between Esmeray and her mates. There is definitely so much more to come…
I’m seriously hooked on this series. It just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait for more!! This is a MUST read for all reverse harem fans who love some sexy with there story! HIGHLY recommend.
An absolutely stunning book. This is the first academy romance I’ve really enjoyed in a while!
The world-building is great and I love the FMC, she is a great character, who is sure of herself and knows what she wants.
This book is steamy in the best way possible and even better the steaminess moves the plot along nicely 😉
I am in love with the males in this series (particularly one mysterious character lol).
I am really excited for the because yanno who doesn’t love a steamy, interesting academy RH.
10/10 would recommend to lovers of academy romance and of course RH.
P.S. If you haven’t read the prequel its 100% worth the read, it really sets off this first book well.
Couldn’t read it fast enough to keep up with all the action or all the sex. The FMC sure knows what she wants and has no qualms about getting it. As the drama and danger increase now that’s she’s at the school, her mates have to reveal hidden truths that wound them all. Definitely recommend and looking forward to the finale.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
steamy spooky and a mystery to solve my kind of book for sure i love “Esmeray, Bron, Dwade, and Lucian
