I am bound to the dark… and the dark is bound to me.No one can know what I am. But this secret I carry, it isn’t an easy one to hide. It burns within me. It changes me each and every day, making the line between me and the ghosts I love smaller and smaller.Yet no secret can remain hidden forever. The day my brother dies changes everything. I’m commanded to attend the Royal Fae Academy, a place … Royal Fae Academy, a place that wouldn’t welcome someone like me. But as much as I fear what will happen next, I have to find my brother’s killer. No matter the cost.
Danger haunts my every step. Someone here wants me dead. And my brother’s three best friends are determined to protect me from my enemies. Only, they have no idea what I am. Or what I’m capable of doing.
And even though I care for them, and I feel they care for me, I have to keep them away.
Because the dark is where I belong. But these men? They belong in the light.
Even if they don’t know it yet.

Wow just wow!! I fell in love with the prequel so I was more then ready to dive into book one of this series. Esmerys has spent pretty much her whole life stuck at the family home having to hide the fact that she is more dark fae then light. Since her brother was the heir this wasn’t an issue at least until he is murdered that is. This changes everything. She is now the heir and has to attend the academy with the brothers BFF’s. This makes for some interesting interaction to say the least as they all have to cope with new change as well as lots of secrets. Full of suspense and surprises to keep you hooked as the story progresses. The ending is a real doozy making you wish the next book was already here. Perfect for fans of steamy Fae reverse harem. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Ravage is the first book in the Royal Fae Academy series.
This one seems a bit darker than the prequel before this.
Its written very well. The suspense keeps you wanting more.
I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to find out what happens in the next one
*May contain spoilers*
The story kept me intrigued until the end of the book. I would say this book was fast-paced, but not too fast where you can’t keep up. It felt fast-paced because the main characters know each other prior to attending the academy.
Characters-
The fmc is Esmeray (love the name for the fmc; something different from the norm is also a plus for me). I enjoy books about strong kickass heroines. Esmeray is badass and goes in swinging. She’s a very determined girl, and nothing can stop her from getting what she wants.
The male leads are; Lucian, Bron, and Dwade. All hot and different in their way and BFF with her brother. I like that this book has multiple POVs. So, you’ll hear their perspectives.
Heat level: Hot and steamy.
I can’t wait to read book 2 to find out what happens next.

I read this entire series within a few days
Even though I don’t particularly like reverse harems this had enough outside of the relationships to engage me
Fairly fast passed story you will definitely want to read them all at once

Ravage is the beginning of a new paranormal romance series by Lacey Carter Andersen. This is a fast-paced and steamy ride of a book and takes the readers on a wild roller coaster of a journey with Esmeray and her three mates as she works to learn what truly happened to her brother and why.
I do love how Lacey Carter Anderson writes, she writes so well I am sucked in from the start and kept excited and riveted until the end
This book is amazing. With the death of her brother the FMC is sent in his place to the academy, but she has an agenda of her own. You get to know each character even more as well as meet two new characters. Es has a hard time trusting the people around her, she’s strong, and independent which is why she is my favorite character. This book will have you completely hooked from the beginning, I definitely recommend it.
This book goes a lot more into the characters than Revere did. Emsray is starting to use her abilities more and more often despite the fact that she’s not a fae of light but of the dark. She loves playing with the monster in the woods around her home, but once her brother and his friends finally come home from the Royal Fae Academy things have changed.
Now rather than hiding who she is, Emsray tends to flaunt it. Everyone in this story has their own secrets which they keep hidden except for the main female character. She is still angry with her brother and his friends for what she sees as abandoning here but doesn’t see the love and passion that her brother’s friends truly have for her. She does however see that she belongs to the darkness and that his friends belong to the light.
Emsay has been sent to the Royal academy after the death of her brother, and this is where her life truly does change.
This is a great steamy start to the RFA series and can’t wait to read the rest!
Ravage is book one of the Royal Fae Academy and it picks up where the prequel Revere left off. Esmeray is at the academy determined to find the killer of her brother. While there her brother’s best friends Bron, Dwade and Lucian are her protectors. Esmeray is on a journey filled with mystery, action, danger, suspense, unexpected twists, romance and secrets. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
This book grabbed me from the start and held me until the end. The world-building is fantastic, and the story is full of mystery, suspense, secrets and lies. There are so many twists and turns, before long you’re not sure what is what or who can be trusted. It’s an exciting and suspenseful story. Esmeray is seeking her brother’s killer, but no one will give her the answers she seeks. Her brother’s three best friends are her mates and protectors, but she won’t be kept from the truth or her goal of vengeance, no matter the risk or cost. Incredible, captivating, hold-your-breath story, and I can’t wait for book 2.

This is one story you won’t be able to put down. It sucked me in and the mystery and suspense only adds to the tension because the tension between Esme and the guys is explosive. The story just flows and I swear I could picture myself there. The only downside? That we have to wait for the next book because it does not end here.

Fantastic job Lacy, thanks for sharing this amazing bad boy with us.
Oh a new series by Lacey Carter Anderson and let me say it is brilliant. This series is dark and twisted. But how really dark and twisted are we talking about is still up in the air. I mean you have Esmeray who is have dark fae and half light fae except her dark fae is the strongest. So she has had to deal with a lot o prejudice about it. People fear her because of it. Don’t get me wrong, she is strong in her own way but she hides a lot of her strength. One night everything changes and she is off to school cause of it. She is entering a world with no friends except for Bron, Lucien and Dwade. These guys have known her since she was a kid. They are hiding a big secret. Esmeray has one objective and that is to get answers and revenge. Will she see what is in front of her or will she overlook them. This is one crazy adventure she goes on and is shocked to find out some information. Only now she may be in danger and will the guys be able to protect her. There is much mystery that needs to be solved but is Esmeray strong enough to solve it. I cannot wait to read the next book because of the ending left me with some more questions and my mouth open.

She can’t trust anyone in her quest to find her brother’s killer or killers. Esmeray was left behind when her brother and his three best friends went to university. Because she is dark fae she can’t go and so she embarks on a life of feeding and sleeping with her food. But she still hungers for Rayne’s best friends even though they all abandoned her. But Rayne is murdered and somehow her parents get her into the same academy. Now her only goal is finding out who murdered her brother. And his best friends are on her list. She can no longer trust them as she knows they have lied to her an are keeping secrets. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Revere: A Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance: Royal Fae Academy Prequel set us up for Esmeray, Dwade, Lucian, Bron, Rayne. The death has come and taken Rayne, and it was not an accident as the Academy announces. Esmeray is switching to her dark side, and will seek justice and retribution for the murder. The mutual attraction continues in the denial phase, but the tension is increasing. Written in the first person present gives immediacy to the story as the action is on-going. The mutual attraction explodes in searing climaxes as the four find release and fulfillment. Malin is introduced with orders to kill Esmeray. For some reason, he hesitates to decide whether to kill her or not at the cliffhanger ending. I’m going for the next book now…
Ok, I am completely hooked on this series. After reading the prequel I couldn’t stop I thought maybe I could just read the short story and be ok. NOPE! Got pulled in and can’t wait until the next one. Esmeray and her mates get even more tangled in each other as she attends school and starts to look further more into who is responsible for the death of her brother. But the further she gets the more she finds that someone is also out to get her. Can she keep hers ya live and can her mates keep her safe while she tries to find the truth?
Ravage: A Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance Series (Royal Fae Academy Book 1) by Lacey Carter Andersen is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading. I can not wait to read the rest of this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harems and paranormal romances.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
This series follows a dark Fae, Esmeray, and her quest to discover and eliminate her light fae brother’s murderer. She has a connection to his light Fae friends, who’ve avoided her for years. What she doesn’t know is they recognize her as their mate and evidently a dark Fae can’t return that recognition, but Esmeray has always felt a connection with these men. She is hot on the trail of her brothers murderer. Will she follow his footsteps and follow him in death?
Hiding in plain sight, Esmeray begins the challenging search for her brother’s killer, and uncovers a darker mystery in the process. Who can be hiding this earth-shattering secret, and what is lurking in the darkness to protect it? While we gain insight into Esmeray and her mates, we learn that the placid surface of the Royal Fae Academy is hiding turbulent depths which threaten to pull her under.
I enjoy watching Lacey Carter Andersen build depth into her characters as she weaves a story which, much like the spider’s web, catches the reader and leaves them helpless to turn their eyes from the page. By the time I reached the middle of this book I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop until I had consumed it all, and once I had I knew I’d be waiting at the edge of my seat for the next book!
