I am bound to the dark… and the dark is bound to me.No one can know what I am. But this secret I carry, it isn’t an easy one to hide. It burns within me. It changes me each and every day, making the line between me and the ghosts I love smaller and smaller.Yet no secret can remain hidden forever. The day my brother dies changes everything. I’m commanded to attend the Royal Fae Academy, a place … Royal Fae Academy, a place that wouldn’t welcome someone like me. But as much as I fear what will happen next, I have to find my brother’s killer. No matter the cost.
Danger haunts my every step. Someone here wants me dead. And my brother’s three best friends are determined to protect me from my enemies. Only, they have no idea what I am. Or what I’m capable of doing.
And even though I care for them, and I feel they care for me, I have to keep them away.
Because the dark is where I belong. But these men? They belong in the light.
Even if they don’t know it yet.

Wow, just couldn’t put this book down, it’s outstanding, the characters are growing from the prequel we are finding out more and more about each one of them, their strengths, their weaknesses and their abilities, the storyline is brilliant, we are finding out about a few bad people and some hidden monsters, so looking forward to the next book, got to find out what happens next.
Takes the reader further into the Royal Fae Academy
Esmeray, a fae with secrets to keep, doesn’t know how to deal with her feelings of abandonment by her brother and his three best friends Bron, Dwade, and Lucian going off to academy full-time. As the story progresses darkness is embraced, promises are given, and not everyone comes out unscathed. Ravage by Lacey Carter Andersen takes the reader further into the Royal Fae Academy and all the secrets it encompasses. The journey she has set out for them all, promises to be filled with danger and intrigue.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Great continuation from the Prequel. I love how this story is developing. The characters are getting more interesting and complex. We now also have so mystery and drama coming into the plot. It is great that we are getting more than just an RH romance. I also like that the relationships that are building are magically perfect. I like that there is some drama and it is taking work for them to get to a good place. I am anxiously awaitng the next book.
This book continues where book 1 ended (prequel), and although you don’t need to read it before this one, I would recommend you do.
Esmeray has now replaced her brother at the Academy and is determined to find out who killed her brother, but everyone is keeping secrets from her which only makes her more determined.
Esmeray is one determined lady, she is head strong and fearless which is either going to help or get her into trouble. The guys are all hiding something from her which stops her from trusting them.
I’m loving where the story is heading and looking forward to book 3.
Esmeray’s story continues where the prequel leaves off. Tragedy strikes and she needs to find the answers. There is danger and she doesn’t know who to trust. The story had intrigue and lots of steam. There is a bit of a cliffhanger but that’s part of the build-up. I can’t wait until the next book.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Ravage was a fantastic book right from the start. There’s lots of mystery that definitely drove the story for me. There is some heat but I loved that it wasn’t the focus of the story. The murder and seeking of revenge made this story such an epic adventure. There’s lots to love about the world of the fae and understanding of the differences of the world they live in. I loved the multiple povs and how each character brings a different element to the story. The whole book for me was exciting, intriguing and had me craving more answers! Can’t wait for book two!
Wow loved this story! It’s full of so many twist and turns, the secrets kept and you think you know what they are but then boom it’s something sooo much better! I couldn’t put this book down and loved how Lacey wrote the story! I can’t wait to read the next book and find out their fate!!
Ohhhhh! What a cliffhanger ending! I am speechless! I’m loving this author though! I need the next book like stat! I am hooked to this series, Dark Fae and Light Fae, what goes bump in the night and some very hot moments!
Wowzers just finished this book and cant wait for book 3!!! Full of mystery, intruigue and angst.
Absolutely loved this book – Strong story with loads of twists and turns.
Even the secrets seem to have secrets in this book and there are mysteries with in mysteries.
3 of her harem are known from the get go but she hasn’t realised it yet that they are her mates and the book hints at a 4th which will play havoc with the dynamics which seem fragile enough at the moment but lets see what happens in the next book
My only comment is that i think you should read book 1 before you read the prequal as book 1 really hooks you in where as the prequal has a sizzling hot scene but doesn’t pull you down the same rabbit hole as this book does.
I really fell in love with Andersen’s writing. She has a writing style that fits me, that works for me. Even things I dislike are somehow interesting and entertaining when Andersen writes it. The prequel of this series was quite brilliant. It didn’t answer questions, but it introduced the characters and set the atmosphere. And after that exciting cliffhanger I was very excited to dive into this prequel. So, I just ignored my “one book by the same author a week” rule (those are short books, so it’s fine, right?) and just read on.
Andersen created an amazing mix in this book. The big plot is the mystery and the danger and we mostly follow our heroine on her quest to figure out what happened to her brother and to kill whoever is responsible for his death while trying to hide that she’s a dark fae at a school for light fae. Although she’s quite reckless and dives into situations regardless of how dangerous they are, I quite enjoyed how she went for what she wanted and didn’t let anyone else tell her differently.
Although, she never forget her true goal and that staying at school was important. So, during all her classes she stayed calm and tried to blend in as much as possible. So, despite the fact that she was reckless, she clearly wasn’t stupid. She saw her chances, saw the clues and figured things out quite naturally and quickly. And even though she clearly has an edge, it made her easy to like and even easier to root for.
And then there was the side plot with the three guys who knew they were her mates ever since she was 20 but kept it a secret from her and wanted to keep it that way for a little longer. I loved the chapters we spent in their heads. Seeing them struggle with having some answers for her and wanting to protect the girl they love so much is quite interesting and creates a certain kind of tension that I really enjoyed a lot.
But, that cliffhanger! Damn! I want and need more!
Ravage is an interesting read. There are some secrets that should stay hidden but I cannot wait for the truth to come out! It was a fast paced and quick read! The FMC is tough and broken just a bit but so are the guys. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Wow ! I could not put this book down. It is everything I didnt know I was looking for right now.
The chemistry and tension between the characters is pure heat and magic. Then there is the story of the past slowly coming to light.
I am so glad I wont have to wait long to read book 2, because this is my favourite Lacey book to date!
Oh the intrigue! It is so hard to write a review on such a fantastic read without spilling any secrets. This book is the epitome of an amazing book. The characters are so full of depth and so electrically charged you can feel it through the pages. Love it! Dying for the next one!
Dark series, a fight is brewing, and I don’t know where this is going to take us. Our little dark Fae is in danger as she seeks her brother’s murderer, and nothing is going to stop her, not even her brother’s three best friends. All she has to do is fool everyone at the academy.
Truly, this isn’t my favorite genre. Academy not based around classes just don’t suit me at all, and that’s what this is. So why five stars? It’s written well, and I want to continue the plot.
The characters are intriguing, the world building could be better, there isn’t any noticable grammatical errors. I would recommend this to someone looking for a dark, erotic read.
This book was amazing!! It starts where the novella Revere ends. Events happen that you do not expect. It is a page turner, having you wondering what is coming next.
Esmeray ends up attending Royal Fae Academy and things get interesting. What are the secrets that Rayne was trying to uncover? I can’t wait to find out. Her chemistry with the boys is off the charts. I can’t wait to read more about them. The last chapter is an unexpected twist and I definitely can’t wait to read what comes next.
I highly recommend the Royal Fae Academy series!
