No one has wanted to take care of her until she meets Dylan and the Baxter boys. They’re a weird bunch – fiercely loyal and… hers.

They are well written and when together you can feel the sparks fly a little .
This book will give you all the feels , the author takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride . You will really like the characters and want to hug them and wrap a blanket around them and tell them that everything will be ok . Over all I really enjoyed this story but I felt like there were parts of the book that were a bit confusing for me cause there was so much going on with the characters also there were parts of the books that I felt kind of dragged a bit . Over all I really did enjoy this book and can’t wait to read other books in the series . This would be a great book for your summer reading
This is the first I’ve read in this series and it’s great! I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything by starting here. The characters are wonderful, I love how they’ve formed their own family – they really do act like brothers and sisters, both with supporting each other and looking out for everyone. And Mary just fits in their world. Both her’s and Dylan’s stories are so touching, have some tissues by your side, may need them. It’s definite must read and honestly there was no good place for me to put it down so make time to read until you’re done.
This is a continuation of stories about the Baxter Boys, six guys who share a house in New York City. They met at Baxter Academy, a special high school for troubled teens who have special talents.
Dylan is a writer. A food review blogger by day and a budding novelist whenever he can find the time. He’s also the caretaker of the house–cleaning and cooking amazing meals for everybody. However, Dylan’s main goal is to find his siblings who have become lost to him ever since they entered the foster system. He hopes to get in touch with his sister once she reaches age 18 and bring her back to the house to live. Complications with the foster system delay that goal and he faces reverting back to the behavior that got him in trouble in the first place.
Mary is a nursing student who is having a battle with her horrible roommates. She just needs a place to crash through the holiday break at school, so she can get some rest and get to her student nursing job. Luckily she’s met the Baxter boys through her friend, and she was immediately attracted to Dylan. It’s a little awkward sleeping in the same house with a guy she’s got the hots for, but since Dylan hasn’t shown any interest in her, Mary figures she’ll just have to deal with it until she can go back to her apartment.
Eventually, they do start spending more time together. As Mary learns more about Dylan and his family, she wants to help him. And Dylan senses there is more to Mary’s story than she has told him too. Each one hopes the other won’t back away when they learn more about their family life.
I really like the interaction of all the guys and their friends (who are girls, but not their girlfriends in most cases). It’s great to see a group of young people who know how tough life can be working together to help each other.
In the 4th book in the Rattled Series, Jane Charles move on from the Alex and Kelsey stories to another Baxter alum/roommate. Alex’s roommate Dylan is searching for his 3 siblings that were lost to the foster care system. As the oldest he feels responsible for watching over his younger brother and sisters and is feeling guilty that they were split up. With his sister’s 18th birthday coming up he has plan to get in contact with her and bring her to live with him.
Mary is friend and former roommate of Kelsey’s. She is a nursing student who is forced to move out of her apartment when her remaining roommates make life miserable. Since she first met him she has been attracted to Dylan but he seemed to ignore her. In reality, he’s noticed her as well but doesn’t think he is good enough for her. As the two become better acquainted, they manage to help each other heal their old hurts.
Ms Charles has done a great job continuing the story of the Baxter school graduates letting the reader get to know the characters more with each book. The reader doesn’t have to have read the previous books but it will make this story more enjoyable
Dylan & his housemates all met when they went to the Baxter Academy & they are as close as brothers. Alex & Kelsey have recently become an item & whilst the guys were helping Kelsey they met her flatmate Mary who’s training to be a nurse. Dylan & Mary are immediately attracted to each other but each believes the other won’t / doesn’t feel the same way. The other flatmates Shelby & Tiffany are awful, they’d managed to get Kelsey to move out & are now working ‘their magic’ on Mary.
So Mary goes to the guys’ brownstone to get some sleep.
Dylan was separated from his brother & two sisters ten years ago & he is desperate to find them, his brother Noah has gone missing but his eldest sister Nina is turning eighteen so he hopes to meet with her soon.
Dylan writes food / restaurant reviews & keeps a blog but is also writing steamy novels however he has his problems. Mary hasn’t come to terms with her soldier father’s death.
Dylan & Mary’s story is very touching & the trip to Trenton had me crying. There is also humour & the bet had me chuckling. Another lovely Rattled book. This could be a stand-alone book but if you’re like me I have to read a series from the beginning & in order. I fell for Dylan in an earlier book & so glad he got his story. I like the way the chapters were written from each ones perspective; something the author does really well. I’m looking forward to the other guys, especially Christian, getting their story & really look forward to the next in the series.

This was an emotionally well written book of two people who are looking for a place to fit in and find that connection. Enter the Baxters. The characters are well developed developed and engaging and this storyline flowed with ease. Dylan and Mary are made for each other will they let the chemistry develop?

I had only read Ms. Charles Regency romances prior to getting this Contemporary novel so I really did not know what to expect. I have enjoyed every book I have read by Ms. Charles and once again she does not disappoint her readers.
This is a story about love. Not just the love of soulmates but also the love of family and friends and being there for each other. Especially when times get tough. A beautifully written story. Looking forward to getting the rest of the books in this series and read about the lives and loves of the others in the Rattled series.
Well done – a solid 4 1/2 Stars!
