Thanksgiving has a way of thawing the frostiest hearts in Lake Eden. But that won’t be happening for newlywed Hannah Swensen Barton—not after her husband suddenly disappears . . . Hannah has felt as bitter as November in Minnesota since Ross vanished without a trace and left their marriage in limbo. Still, she throws herself into a baking frenzy for the sake of pumpkin pie and … Thanksgiving-themed treats while endless holiday orders pour into The Cookie Jar. Hannah even introduces a raspberry Danish pastry to the menu, and P.K., her husband’s assistant at KCOW-TV, will be one of the first to sample it. But instead of taking a bite, P.K., who is driving Ross’s car and using his desk at work, is murdered. Was someone plotting against P.K. all along or did Ross dodge a deadly dose of sweet revenge? Hannah will have to quickly sift through a cornucopia of clues and suspects to stop a killer from bringing another murder to the table.

Unexpected ending.
True to Joanne Fluke’s writing – she kept me turning the pages and surprised me at the end!
I enjoyed it, just like I have enjoyed every other book in the series. Kind of surprised at the ending, and now I can’t wait for the next one.
This is a good cozy mystery series. They are all original and good reads.
Positively dreadful. My 13 year old niece is a more sophisticated writer.
Always enjoy this series! Good recipes, too. Surprise ending I didn’t see coming.
Can’t wait to see what Hannah will be up to next!
Typical of the series. Enjoyable for a quick read. “Twist ending” of the hubby storyline was disappointing but expected.
What I don’t like is it didn’t end at all.
Good mystery book with lots of recipes.
Lots in this series. This one seems more simplistic
A really good quick light read good characters. Lots of fun.
I enjoy this series. This book has a few unexpected twists and turns! Also enjoy the recipes. Good writing.
Love Hannah Swenson!
All the recipes sound delicious but I don’t understand how they can eat all that dessert without gaining huge amounts of weight.
More of the same, as her other books, in terms of dialogue among family members – tends to be a bit boring. Yet, lots of cookie recipies to try.
I enjoyed the book but have missed a few in the series and I’m disappointed that she married someone from outside the original characters.
A quick fun read on a snowy day. I just like the hometown crazy close friends in these mysteries.
Ms. Fluke did her usual job of having good characters, good plot, unusual ending in an easy to read format with lots of wonderful food.
Very poor plot. Ending came out of nowhere.
