Meet the rascals: five friends, one bar, and a heap of sexy trouble! Perfect for fans of Christina Lauren, Helen Hunting, and Kendall Ryan.Emerson Hayes is sexy, arrogant, and has abs that would put a Hemsworth to shame. He’s also opening a bar with his buddies right below my apartment. Goodbye, peace and quiet, hello sleepless nights fantasizing about my hot new landlord… when my stuffy workplace makes it clear I need a plus-one for our events, I have the perfect way to even the score. Emerson is A+ arm-candy… as long as I can resist taking a bite. Our arrangement is supposed to be just for show, but Emerson is like that fifth shot of tequila: tempting, intoxicating, and liable to leave me flat on my back with my panties around my ankles, begging for more.
Maybe I should stay for just one more round…

A fun read. Entertaining, and steamy. I like books where the male supports the lady in being successful. Good ending too.
Finished the book really quickly couldn’t put the book down. Really enjoyed the storyline.
great book!, I loved this series, the author is really good, and the books are well written,
I really liked this book, also liked its characters.
Loved it! Great chemistry between the main characters.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I enjoyed every page of it! It held my attention from the first chapter to the last and now I need the next book in this series….. like now!
I really liked this book and will absolutely read more by this author!
A cute, fun, flirty and passionate love story. The characters were lovable and immediately drew me in; I couldn’t get enough of their explosive chemistry. The support and love between this group of friends was amazing to witness. I can’t wait to read the other stories in this series.
I am loving this series! I have happily read my way through the first three books – Rascal, Wingman and Hearbreaker, in the last day or so. While each book has common themes, each one is different enough to be entertaining and engaging. 5 guy, best friends open a bar called Rascals. Each book chronicles a different guy, delving into his backstory – why he is the way he is, and pairing each up with a sexy female counterpart. These are fun, sexy reads. Can’t wait to get to Dante’s story!
It’s a super cute read without much drama and with hilarious moments. The writing is good, it has a dual POV, the plot is very funny and sweet. The characters
were nice as well, with common characteristics. Both were sweet with good hearts and driven to prove themselves. I loved their interactions, especially their
first meeting. The secondary characters were interesting too, my favorite was Kelsey. All in all, Rascal is a light fun read perfect for a relaxing afternoon.
I liked it and I will rate it with 4 stars.

Loved this book
Loved it!
couldn’t get past first chapter awful
The characters just weren’t realistic and became too cloyingly sweet, it got to be too much. I read about 2/3 and just couldn’t finish it
Really enjoyable read. Wonderful characters that draw you straight into the story and eager to read more about their love lives and friendship.
Great for a bit of light-reading. Very sweet strangers-to-lovers sort of story. Nothing about it left me confused or wondering what was going on; very simple to follow.
I loved the chemistry between Emerson and Alex, and the way they met in the elevator was hilarious! It was such a funny, cute, heartwarming story. I enjoyed this story so much and after reading the Young Elites it was exactly what I needed and it gave me everything I wanted. It was off to such a great and humorous start and I soon fell in love with both Emerson and Alex.
I loved that Alex was a lawyer a high powered female, who was working hard to get what she wanted and was willing to put in the extra work to get what she wanted. She made it straight to the partners of her law firm that she would not use her relationship with Emerson to gain business with his dad which I respected the hell out of. Like you go girl!
Emerson after meeting his dad you understood way more where his passion for the bar came from and how well he wanted the bar to succeed and I loved that he was so focused on it doing well.
I love that bar.
I also loved the side characters, Chase, Sawyer, Dante and Liam all of Emerson’s friends who also had a stake in the bar, I enjoyed how they came together to do it. I loved how we also got to see an insight to them as well and that they were so rounded characters and they felt incredibly real. I also loved Hayley (Emerson’s sister) I loved how she managed to boss all the boys around. I’m going to say it now. I think there is a thing between her and Dante. We’ll see if I turn out to be right because I’m sure each of the boys is getting their own story. I could be wrong about that.
As I say I really enjoyed the story, it was nice cute, angsty drama filled and I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
What a meet cute. If only that really happens.
This story, while it was a cute love story, did more to lay the ground work for the series then it did focus on Alex and Emerson (can I say Emerson is an amazing name).
I loved that they took it somewhat slow (even if it was like a week and a half before the I love Yous). Again I think this was more laying the ground work for the series and I can’t wait to read the love stories of the rest of the gang.
Rascal by Katie McCoy is the adorable book in her new Rascals series. Rascals aptly describes the five friends who have opened a neighborhood pub, also named Rascals. If this first book is any indication, the series is going to be fantastically fun.
Rascal features soon-to-be lawyer Alex and Emerson, a would be trust fund “kid” looking to make a living on his own. These two come from opposite ends of the socio-economic ladder, and they come together in an unlikely but hilarious way. Their common values and obvious attraction keeps them together.
Rascal is a quick paced, easy read. It is mostly light-hearted and fun. The little conflict comes from parent and co-worker antagonists, and it is easily resolved even though it takes the hero and heroine too long to realize that minor grievances come with every relationship.
I enjoyed the dynamics between the main characters, their family, and friends. Rascal is a quick, fun escape from reality with an enjoyable HFN ending.
I always seem to get lost in Katie McCoy’s books as the characters and subject matter always seems to just suck me right in. Rascal is no different!
Alex is waiting confirmation that she passed her bar exam to become a lawyer, but in the meantime, has to deal with running into a gorgeous guy while she’s stocking up in the tampon aisle at the grocery store! Talk about embarrassing!
Emerson. What can I say? Swoonworthy, sexy as hell, smart businessman..oh, and Alex’s neighbor. He’s opening a bar with four friends and the man definitely has a chip on his shoulder because of his family, but he won me over almost immediately.
I loved Rascal. It started off so sweet, fun and sexy and did not have any unnecessary drama. The love story between Emerson and Alex was a joy to read! Emerson and Alex just fit so perfectly together, as did the rest of the characters in the story, which will continue with more books!
