When a handsome stranger arrives trying to solve a fifteen-year-old mystery, even the most over-protected gal knows how to let down her hair.Zelle Carpenter loves her parents. She really, really does. It’s just that they’re soooooo obsessed with keeping her safe that she feels like she’s been locked in a tower half the time. There’s no chance to go out and have fun, without resorting to a little … without resorting to a little trickery with her best friend, and there’s no chance to meet boys. The only boys she knows are the always-on-their-best-behavior cowboys at Church, and who wants to practice kissing with them?
Duke Dmitri Volkov is stuck in this backwater American town for one reason only; to solve the fifteen-year-old mystery about a lost princess his father shared on his death-bed. But he’s not going to pass up the opportunity to kiss a pretty girl, especially if that pretty girl has the most beguiling green eyes and taste for adventure. Despite his best efforts, he’s quickly falling for this quaint town and its welcoming citizens.
The only thing left is to solve his father’s mystery, so that he can start his Happily Ever After. But Dmitri doesn’t realize that finding the lost princess from his past will strip away any chance of future happiness in Everland.
[Note: This story is the sequel to THE STEPMOTHER. Both can be read independently, but if you’re going to read STEPMOTHER, read that one first!]

Didn’t hold my interest found it lagging
The story line of this book showed some real creativity, and even though I wanted several times to close the book and walk away from it, I kept returning to see if it got better.
The main character, Zelle, is just too flakey to admire. She has no common sense, and we are supposed to admire her ability to laugh her head off when a run away horse very nearly kills her. She’s not a happy girl…more like an addled brained case who needs 24/7 supervision. I did like her parents, and her best friend Briar. Sometimes I thought her love interest was alright, but he fell for such an air head.
If importance for you lies in happy endings, this may be for you. If you want strong women with brains for heroines, pass it by.
These are a fun series!
This is the second book I have read in this series. I enjoyed them very much! Easy reads and I love the spin with the fairy tale spin! Sweet stories! I will read more!
Cute story! I love the characters. There are books with some of the same characters but I kind of wish there was a 2nd part to this. I just loved it.
Quick read of a familiar story with quirky characters.
It was a clean read and unexpected ending!
Fun twist on an old story
It was silly, predictable and unbelievable. Could not finish it.
A fun little read.
Rapunzelle, an Everland Ever After Tale, was a charming fictional story with a little bit of whimsy. It’s a clean, enjoyable and entertaining story that anyone who enjoys clean romantic stories will love.
