The world couldn’t have changed more since Eva had been locked in that tower. The only thing that hadn’t changed was the mages and humans still hated each other. Only this time the mages were the ones with the upper hand. With new suspicions of who she really was, Eva must learn to be a human in a mage ruled worldThe problem was. She wasn’t human.Hiding her secret could not be more imperative as … be more imperative as it becomes clear that her tower hadn’t been found by accident. The only question now was, who wanted her out and what did they want from her?

I adore an imaginative retelling of classic fairy tales and fables, and Erin Bedford Curse of the Fairy Tales series is easily that. Now we return to Eva’s story in Rapunzel Unveiled (Book 2). This ain’t your grandma’s Repunzel but its kick-a** cousin in total glory. Another exciting tale where important answers are learned, such as who (and what) Eva is, why she was locked in the tower and more about the five mages who got her out. All perfectly told with superb world-building and a wonderfully crafted cast of lead and supporting characters. Easy to highly recommend.
Oh I loved the first book but I have to say I loved this second book even more! A well written second book that answers so many questions and as with book one I found myself totally engrossed and lost into this world. A fairytale retelling set in a series, one that is highly addictive and a fantastic urban fantasy story with both reverse harem and dystopian elements. Cannot wait to read more!
Alot of the question about who Eva was and still is and why she ended up in the tower you also find out at least one of those that was responsible for being found. And there is still a continuing slow burn with the Mages and one night one act will reveal Eva in all her glory and those she trusted will give her more heartache and one of her worst enemies will come forward with something but what will it mean to Eva. Looking forward to the third book in this series.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
We get so much backstory here but also Eva and Gage moving forward in this new world. The characters are complex and not everything is easy. I like the way the fairy tale characters are incorporated into this fantasy world.
This book 2 in the Curse of the Fairy Tales Series is a very interesting and unique RH retelling of Rapunzel. It has really good characters and story starting with her loss of memory and the men trying to protect her. The story leaves you hanging and wanting to read the next book to find out what happens next. There is one more book to finish this story.

Excellent Second Installment
I read the first book of this series and absolutely adored it, so I’ve been looking forward to the next installment to see what would happen to Rapunzel and her mages. The author did not disappoint. We learn more about Eva and her complicated former life. We also learn more about the mages in general as well as the ones involved in Eva’s life. The authors managed to put together an amazing blend of fairy-tale retelling, dystopian urban fantasy, and reverse harem romance. Quite a heady, compelling combination of speculative fiction subgenres, and one that kept me enthralled and turning pages deep into the night. Highly recommended, but start with the first book as they are best read in order.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Eva has been released from the tower, but still needs to find out who she is, which is slowly happening, especially when she gets mad. The humans and mages are still at war, with the mages on top for now. Eva and Snow get into it, the boys get into it, and nothing is safe or calm here. The characters are terrific and varied into so many different kinds. Feelings and emotions are strong. Suspense comes at all angles and creates chaos everywhere and everything. Twists and turns will keep you turning the pages, wondering what can happen next. Hoping the next book answers a lot of the new questions. Can not wait.

The second part of Curse of the Fairy Tales series a well written story, but again it ends on a cliff-hanger. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read the first book in this series a long time ago, so it took me a little while to remember again what happened and who was who. However, I did remember that the cliffhanger and the reveal at the very end were kind of amazing and were also kind of genius, so when I got the chance to read a review copy of this book I just couldn’t say no. I had that problem a lot lately though, so therefore I only picked the book up today.
And what a quick, easy and addictive read was this! Once I remembered who was who again, I was sucked into the story once more. I really loved getting to know the guys a little better and seeing how they are slowly growing closer to Eva. All of the guys are different and unique and they’re easy to tell apart because of that. They really have their own story to tell, they really are their own person and within a few chapters I remembered why I liked the first book so much.
That’s also partly because of the amazing plot. It’s not moving forward fast. We get a few pieces of the puzzle here and there while the characters are trying to figure out and learn more. Those pieces of the puzzel however are really exciting and during the story I moved further and further to the edge of my seat. Especially towards the end the stakes were raised and the danger seemed to be closing in and then the last sentence came and I was just flabbergasted! Bedford already pulled a stunt like that in the first book, but she just manages to do it again!
And the guys are already interesting and unique, but Eva is even more interesting and unique. Although it’s clear that she has a dark side and a dark past, it’s hard not to love and like her. She has no idea how this world works, she has no idea what the rules and customs are. She’s trying, and failing, to find her way, but that also means she looks at the world with fresh eyes. Her inner and outer conflicts are really interesting to witness and after that cliffhanger I really can’t wait to find out what the next book will bring!
Rapunzel Unveiled is the second book in Erin Bedford’s Curse of the Fairy Tales series. In this book Eva is plagued by who she used to be as she struggles to learn what humans do in the world she has awoken to. The mages she lives with have struggles of their own as they each are drawn to her but the society they live in forces them to stay apart from her.
This book, like the last one, is extremely gripping and really draws you in. Readers are shown more of mage society, especially how poorly humans are treated. I really grew to understand why Queen Eva (aka Eva’s past self) loathed the mages. While they weren’t in power during her time, they still caused…problems. This series seems to show that mages and humans were always at war.
I thought I’d grow to dislike Queen Eva the more I learned about her. But that wasn’t the case. Mages aren’t great people for the most part and so seeking to commit genocide on them makes sense. In this book we get much more information on why Snow and her were such bitter rivals. And I can’t hate Eva for what she did to someone Snow loved because…I just have really strong opinions on the matter. The only reason I see Queen Eva as a villain is because she revels in causing pain.
I’m also beginning to think Snow had much more to her plan than locking Eva up in a tower. I also have a sneaking suspicion Rebecca has a large part to play in the second half of that plan. My theory comes from the fact villains can’t have simple plans. Every good villain must make their evil plans as complicated as possible. If they don’t, they fail villain school.
I didn’t think I’d like Eva with Zane more than the first book. But the impossible happened. Queen Eva takes over Eva just like Zane’s demon does for him. This makes the pair have something in common that is specific to the two of them. I’m a twisted individual because this book made me start shipping Queen Eva and Zane’s demon.
In the final moments of the last book there was a brief moment where Gage showed how much he cared for Eva. This book has Gage being vulnerable to Eva so that she can see how much he actually does care for her. It does make sense that if he’s an assassin he has to build up walls around himself.
Eva does seem to overreact when she shouldn’t. Her loathing the mages for how they have made humans into basically slaves makes sense. But how she doubts the men that saved her doesn’t make sense. She uses any excuse to paint them as uncaring. She knows Adam doesn’t like Rebecca. She knows all of the mages have to treat her as a common human in social situations. Yet she can’t think for two seconds before reacting violently to benign situations.
I would recommend Rapunzel Unveiled by Erin Bedford to those that are fans of the Curse of the Fairy Tales series. Also any readers that like their romance with a mix of science fiction and fantasy.
Rapunzel may be free but it’s not all that she thought it would be. She’s still searching for who she is and where’s she’s from. The boys on the other hand man I’m just going to say mixed messages here and leave it at that. We still don’t have all the answers but I’m guessing book 3 is going to blow us away.

Our heroine may be free of the tower, but she is still struggling to figure out who she is and how she fits into this new world.
This is book two of the series. It does okay as a standalone, but I recommend starting at the beginning so that you get the full effect.
This is an urban fantasy story with both reverse harem and dystopian elements. And if it wasn’t obvious from the title, it is also a retelling of the classic fairy tale (I leave it to the reader to figure out which one). The story is very well written, with a well developed setting we get to see more of in this book. It is both fascinating and scary at the same time. The cast of characters is diverse and also well developed, with competing motives, individual personalities and rivalries which provide a depth to the story and help bring it to life. Just like the first book, this one is packed with lots of action, mystery and intrigue which kept me reading to see what came next. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed this action packed, fun and engaging journey filled with exciting and witty charters, exciting dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Was a great read from beginning to end and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
This book picks up where the last one ended and does end on a cliffhanger. Eva begins being trained as a human servant, learning to cook and to clean. Each of the mages are attracted to her in a different way. She soon starts having dreams and memories of her life before and realizes there are 2 Eva’s. There are twists and turns that end with an unexpected ending to the book.
In this book, the author fills out more of what home life is as well as the characters of the brothers. Eva is also fleshed out with a quirky sense of humor and playfulness. Definitely a good read and worth the wait. Can’t wait for the next book.

wonderful, funny and interesting as always, Love Erin Bedford stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.
Erin Bedford is one heck of a talented author. She has a way to draw in her readers into the world of her own making.
The second book picks up where the first one left. Eva is still trying to figure out who she is, being locked in a tower and having to deal with humans and mages alike and their conflict. I love the twist to one of my favorite classic story! And I can’t wait to see what else she brings!
Eva and the guys are back in book two of the Curse of the Fairy Tales series. In this book she’s still trying to figure out her past while discovering new things about herself. This book is filled with magical twists, intriguing characters and an ending that left me wanting book three asap.
The long awaited book two of this series which shows a totally different side of Eva and her mages. I love how the author slowly shows us Eva’s past and that no matter what her guys are still trying to work out the puzzle as to why she was in the tower. I can not wait to read the next book and to find out more answers.
This is the second book that picks up where the first left off. Eva is still trying to find out who she. As things happen she has even more questions. At first she felt betrayed by the guys but she realizes they were doing what they thought best. This was a fun story and I can’t wait for the next book.
