A thousand years. No memories. Five powerful mages dying to save her.In the city of Neo New York, mages rule the world. People like Eva, the non-magical kind, mean nothing. The only destiny waiting for her will be to serve the mages for the rest of her days.Except Eva isn’t like other humans. Locked in a tower for a crime she doesn’t even remember, Eva is saved by none other than some of Neo New … some of Neo New York’s most prestigious mages, and they won’t let anyone take their new toy away from them.
When Eva’s memories make a reappearance, she realizes she might be a little bit more than just a nuisance. Now, Eva must dodge jealous ex-lovers and ambitious council members, all while keeping her past a secret.
Whoever said fairy tales had happy endings hasn’t walked a minute in Eva’s shoes.

I liked this story. It had a touch of suspense and mystery rolled into a story with magic based in a modern New York, kind of. I liked that on this first book it is not really clear who is the good guys and the bad guys. The writing was good and the story awesome and dragged me in and kept me reading to the end to see what tidbit of Eva’s life would be exposed to solve her mysterious past. Not to mention the secrets in her rescuer’s past. Cannot wait to see where this goes.
This is a new twist on an old fairy tale. There are lots of twists and turns along while trying to figure out who Eva really is. I enjoyed the retake and the characters involved.
What a book! I was not expecting this twist of a fairytale. I freaking loved it! I loved that Eva didnt know who she was and that there is an air of mystery throughout the book. I cant wait to see how her story unravels.
Rapunzel Untamed is an amazing retelling of the Fairytale Rapunzel except this version is a we bit different. In this version there are 5 very hot Mages and all have unique special gifts. There is a very high tower with a beautiful maiden that has been magically locked in it and her name is Eva or so she remembers.. Eva isn’t that sure if the facts.
Who put her in the tower and why is a mystery that they are trying to figure out. Eva has secrets and memories that are still a mystery.. and a mystery indeed.
I loved reading Rupunzel Untamed and I am excited to read book 2 as Eva and the Mages figure things out
This was such a wonderful love story. I enjoyed it very much. The storyline was spot on and was well executed. I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. In this book we get to meet the main character, Eva, who has quite a few similarities to Rapunzel on a basic level but she ain’t no Rapunzel. We meet her guys who are all magically inclined with certain specialities We find out small bits of Eva’s past and where she is from and why she was in a tower. We see some relationships develop while others are.stubborn. So now I need more I can’t wait for the next book.

Eva is full of mystery and intrigue and the mages think she is just a lowly human, but underneath it all lurks so much more. The twists as she slowly gains a memory here and there are extremely exciting and the cliffhanger at the end will leave you screaming for more. The dynamics of the five mages bent on both protecting her and possibly more are unique in their own right. Each has a different skill set and personality. Each are uniquely respected and powerful in different ways and in ways compliment Eva. It will be very interesting to see how the author takes this journey and molds it to the lore of different fairy tales. I volunteered to read this book, but enjoyed it so much I bought it the first time I read it and just re-read it before book two comes out.
Not your childhood Rapunzel…
Once again Ms. Bedford has taken a story from our childhood and given it a grown-up twist. This first installment is used to build this new”world” and introduce the characters- Eva and her five men. Questions are asked( who Eva is and why/when was she was locked in the tower). We are not given the answers but “memories” that paint Eva in a bad light. What is really the truth? Guess we have to wait for the next installment for some answers.

Eva’s story is really something different. I loved how utterly clueless on some things and how at the same time she is willing to stand up and take care of herself. This is a great story and the guys are mouth watering. I loved reading this and getting to the end just makes me want more of this world.
Rapunzel Untamed (Curse of the Fairy Tales Book 1)

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********
I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.
Wow! Rapunzel is one of my favorite fairy tales. This book is a total remake of fairy tales. Not only is there Rapunzel, but we also get some Snow White in the storyline. Erin did a fascinating job on the storyline. The storyline kept me intrigued though out the book. Eva is the FMC. She is the one trapped in the tower. Four guys ( Adam, Zane, Luke, and Blake) rescue Eva from her tower. Gage comes into the picture after Eva is rescued. Just some of the emotions I felt while reading are lonely, scared , intrigued, creepiness, hostility, safe, attraction, and betrayal. Near the end something happens to Eva that is completely cruel and I could feel her emotions. That scene had me crying a little. So looking forward to book 2!
•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••
~~ I have Kindle Unlimited, and I used that service to read this book. ~~
Just like the fairytale Rapunzel is locked in a tower and rescued by a prince. Except in this book shes called Eva, shes chained in a tower and shes rescued by 5 mages – Adam, Gage, Zane, Blake and Luke. Things are not a fairytale ending either because Eva is thrust into a world where mages rule and humans are classed as ano better than vermin. So for Eva who has no memory other than her name shes like a fish out of water. Things dont get any better as she starts to find her place in this new world either. A fantastic start and i really loved Eva’s character. Shes slightly shy in this book but i get the feeling that will change in books to come and im eager to read that. Oh and that cliffhanger ending………is a killer!!!!

WOW I loved this awesome twisted take on this fairytale story! A truly magical read with lots of mystery and suspense. Well written with fab characters I just can’t wait to read more in this series!
I love everything that Erin Bedford has written (and think I’ve read them all). I love retellings of classic fairy tales. I love reverse harem stories. So now along comes Erin Bedford’s Rapunzel Untamed, the first of her Curse of the Fairy Tales books. It’s a perfectly done retelling of the classic story in the form of a reverse harem dark fairy tale. I was drooling at hello (or at its equivalent, reading the publisher’s blurb). What can I say about this story. It’s absolutely perfectly written (no surprise with this author), and perfectly plotted, and perfectly casted (not just in the lead, Eva, and her mages, but the supporting cast too), and perfectly, well, yummy. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Imagine a future where humans are now the minority and the world is now ruled by fae, witches, wizards and other assorted magic users. Now a tower appears in the middle of what was once Central Park. Within is a girl who has been is stasis, whose hair has grown long and has no memory of her past…at least not at first…..That’s the world of Rapunzel Untamed. The author, once again, has built another world that she stays consistent with. Her characters are well fleshed out and grow and change as the story is told. Be aware that this does have a cliffhanger, but the author is rereleasing the book so that does bode well for more in the series.
On boy, watch out mages – it’s coming! A girl is found in a tower all of a sudden in a park. Eva couldn’t remember what she was doing there and couldn’t talk after being in the tower for so long. Some mages found her and unchained her, then took her to their place. At this time people were beneath the mages and had little to do with them so some of the other mages wanted her treated like the other people. But they have no idea what she really is or was. Here we go! On to the next chapter!
A whole new take on Rapunzel fairy tale. Very different, kept my interest throughout and now I want to know what is going to happen to her. Also what exactly she did to be locked in the tower, I know we get some of the reason, but I want to know more lol. All together a great start to a dark retelling of the classic!
Such an awesome twist to a childhood story! I love how this book gives the new world building and character introductions in a interesting manner. I think the biggest questions going through my mind are: Who is Eva and why/when was she put in that tower. I enjoyed the fact that these answers were not given, but we were given some small snips of memories. I can not wait to see what is in store for Eva in the next book.
This book is so fantastic and such an amazing twist on the classic rapunzel tale. It’s a reverse harem and there’s so many interesting guys for her to choose from! Read this book!
