She is a grieving mother. He is a spoiled rock idol. The only thing they have in common is a flashy tabloid headline. Or so they think.

What a heartbreaking story.
You will feel for Hazel, ALL THE FEELS.
You will want to drop kick Justice at times.
But you will love the love in the end.
My one complaint was his over use of the term ‘baby/babe’. If there were actual dialog it wouldn’t fly at all. At one point it was in his every sentence. I thought for sure he didn’t even know Hazel’s name. Add in that it’s what he called his ex-wife and EW! You can tell this rockstar used it with all the girls and well I felt Hazel was special and she should have had a special term of endearment.
When the story introduced us to Hazel and Justice I wasn’t quite sure it would make for a good story but it was great! Hazel is trying to get away because every her husband of ten years wants a divorce, she agreed that they had grown apart but how much loss can she take?
Justice sees this very low key woman walk into the bar and he can tell she has no business being there but something about her intrigues him. He knows he is in a messy divorce but he figured he would just check on her but when he realizes she is drunk he can’t just let her drive so he takes her home.
This story held my interest right from the start and you have to love the famous rock star and the former housewife. It doesn’t end in a cliffhanger but I sure am hoping the next book tells a little bit more about their story.
Hazel is dealing with a tragic loss and a divorce from her husband. She meets Justice in a bar while planning to drown her sorrows in alcohol. Justice is the singer from the rock band Deviant and used to the press and publicity. He is going through a messy divorce when he meets Hazel, a woman that isn’t his type but he finds himself drawn to her after the press see them together. Hazel is broken but can Justice help her find her way? Can Hazel be the one person Justice really needs in his life? A stunningly good read.
This is the 1st in a new series and is Justice and Hazel’s story. Justice is the frontman of a famous rock band, and is broken, and in the middle of a nasty divorce and custody battle. Hazel is divorced and grieving a loss, and when she goes to a friends Lake Tahoe cabin, to find herself again, and her only thought is to drown her sorrows in wine. These two meets at a local bar and have more in common than they first thought as both have complex pasts, they need to fight to have a relationship, with the fans, haters, press, and a crazy ex. This is a well written story which is and emotional roller coaster, and with healing, love, and with engaging and realistic characters, which all had me totally enthralled throughout this riveting tale, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I could not be happier to have found a new author!
This book was so good, on so many levels…
Having personally lost a child, I so appreciate the respect that was shown regarding this delicate subject.
I hope this isn’t the end of their story, I am no where near over them.
Wow!! This is one crazy, hot, intense Rockstar romance. Totally loved this crazy ride.
Hazel is a mess. I bet she had no idea how drastically her life would change after walking into that bar one fateful night. After loosing her son and on the verge of divorce, Hazel tries to get her life on track. It just isn’t as easy to do as it could be.
Justice is on top of the world. Rocking out to huge crowds. Despite going through a very public divorce and custody battle. He meets Hazel. Their story is one not to be missed.
This super crazy story totally wowed me. It’s so intense. So infuriating, heartbreaking, sexy. It’s everything.
If you enjoy this genre then don’t pass this one up. 5stars
An Angst Filled Rock Romance
I love rock romance so I had to check this author out and I now can’t wait for more of her books. This book was full of heartbreak, struggles and chemistry. Hazel and Justice sure have their own issues but it’s the way that they try to overcome them that drew me in. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
So emotional
Hazel goes to a friends cabin to try and pull herself together after many life tragic events. She is drinking at a bar and is pretty trashed and meets Justice who has a whole of problems himself. Thus book was a emotional rollercoaster. It deals with a death of a child, infidelity , devorce and new beginnings. Keep the kleenex handy.
Wow I loved this book. Had my emotions all over. Characters were good and interesting. Hazel and Justice have amazing chemistry. Will definitely read more by this author
I’d say that this is a solid 3.5 debut. Hazel and Justice are in similar boats, but his is filled with so much more hate and deviousness than hers. So when his hateful problem tries to destroy his every reason for living, Hazel and Justice end up starting off their relationship with a deal. A deal to make things as palatable as possible for each of their situations. And it isn’t too long before fake becomes real and real becomes everything.
I had a few issues with this book, mainly because I was so annoyed that Hazel apologized for so much and Owen seemingly skated. Hazel was sad and almost pathetic at times, when I really needed her to be strong and tell others to pound salt. But I guess that also made this a realistic read because nothing is perfect and we all have the best comebacks in hindsight. Overall, I really liked Justice and how he helped Hazel find her strength. And that “let me take it back” moment? Yeah, that made my breath woosh out, only to get it back a second later with his redo.
Overall, this was a good read. It was a little gritty, a lot angry, and worked like grief or misery do in real life. It wasn’t a straight line from sad to happy, but more of a rollercoaster that retraced the same tracks a few times before getting it right.
Deviant Justice
Loved that cover, caught my eye as I was browsing recommended for me books. That and the blurb drew me in right away, so one clicked this new to me author and settled right into this rockstar romance.
Could this really be a first novel by N.N. Britt? I loved Justice, just trying to support his nephews band, but ends the night reluctantly saving the under the table stranger, drowning in way more than too much Tequila.
Both lead characters had their share of drama and angst, either now or in their past. Could a world famous rockstar in hiding, looking for some peace and Hazel, a woman with nothing else to lose but her sanity, find enough common ground to make something work between them? I wanted to give her a big giant hug right from page one. Rapture took me on quite an unexpected and emotional rollercoaster ride but this time the person with the most issues to overcome is not who you’d think!
Great story, some parts that may have been alittle drawn out for me but still had a very hard time letting these characters go so I could sleep last night..always a good sign!
I taken completely off guard at the somewhat abrupt ending and wished a few more pages or a second epilogue, but that’s the way the author chose to end her story. Will there be more to it in another book? Not sure, but I will certainly read another tale from N.N. Britt again.
So this was N.N. Britt’s debut novel and what a debut it was, l will most definitely be reading more by this author! l so enjoyed Rapture, this story will hook you in! Justice & Hazel’s journey was intense, with heartache, and some very sexy steamy moments! Fantastic ending! So worth the read!
Rapture is a book that will rip you apart and put you back together again. This is a beautiful written book about Justice the well known Rockstar and Hazel a woman left so broken after a tragic loss that your not sure If Hazel will be able to work through her grief, will Justice be able to put his Arrogance aside and let his real Persona shine through. This is the first book that N.N. Britt has written and is in my top 5 books that I have read this year. I would love to know more about this couple and hope she writes more. Definitely more than a 5 star read.
As a debut book N.N. Britt is a Rockstar!! Rapture is a story of heartbreak loss and redemption. The story is full of emotion and angst anguish and joy. With a couple of twists that will leave you wanting to throw your book.
Hazle is trying to run from her problems and she dose the exact opposite of her goal and runs straight into Justice. Justice is just wanting peace and quiet and the torando that is Hazle is nothing he wants to deal with. But like moths to flame they keep getting drawn in. N.N. Britt has a very bright future ahead of her and I cannot wait for more.
I really liked this book. It had everything and not your usual HEA. It make me laugh and cry and everything on between.
For a debut this is an absolute stunner! I was pulled in from the start with the gripping emotion and real life issues that are beautifully written with intricacy. It’s not simple and is different from most rockstar story but in a good way, although the story is just as much about a broken women lost in her sorrow as it is about a rockstar at a crossroad in his life. There are some depressing moments in the story that added weight and let you know this isn’t a fluffy rockstar read. This was so realistic in Hazel’s paralyzed sadness over her tragic lost and even the rockstar side of the story seemed more authentic in Justice’s assholery, entitled behavior, and the chaos that comes with fame. But he has his own grief he’s dealt with, so in a way he can sympathize with Hazel’s condition. And talk about drama in the life of a rockstar with an evil so-to-be ex and a son. It really shows that fame comes with a price, one that Hazel is not sure she wants to be a part of when she’s dragged into the fray. Hazel and Justice’s whole journey to love is fraught with so many obstacles you wonder if they will ever get there. They both have so much to overcome separately and Justice has to show a different side to win Hazel over. She is so not impressed with his lifestyle, but he is magnetic and beautiful. I really loved both the light and dark sides of Justice and everything in between. He’s a sexy beast of a character! Their sexual encounters are panty melting and had me rereading the good parts. Love the sexy times but there are a few dark parts that may disturb some readers, but hey it’s a dirty rocker story. Those guys are into everything. I gotta say I was a little thrown by the drama at the end but it did serve to resolve some of Hazel’s grief and let her move on. It also let Justice shine in his new reality. The development and growth of these characters as the story progressed is fantastic. The care they had for each other was a thing of beauty and created a couple that will live in my heart for a long time. This is definitely a read again story. Kudos to Ms. Britt for a writing feat of spectacular proportions. Also, I was so glad to see a woman featured on the cover rather than a half naked man. Can’t wait for the story to come from this fabulous new author. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
The whole idea of the plot was promising. The story itself has a lot of potential and it has a great build-up. Also, for a debut novel, this one has it going.
The story explores loss, pain, suffering, addiction, separation, redemption, acceptance and forgiveness. Yes, the author actually tackled all these issues in this book, exploring addiction and coping mechanisms in different forms.
The idea of meeting a popular-yet-controversial rock star can both be very daunting and exhilarating at the same time. Not so much though when you’re in the middle of grieving, divorce and alcohol addiction.
Said rock star on the other hand was in the middle of a nasty divorce with her popular actress wife. They have a 3-4 year old son.
The premise of the story was great but somehow, the story felt like it just dragged and there’s just so much happening all at once, I’m missing the important details and the point of the plot that I felt lost. And there’s so much push and pull to the story (at least in the heroine’s part) that it had become tiresome for me (I majorly hate it in a book). Although I understand her having second-third-fourth-fifth thoughts, it just didn’t worked out for me. But I think it’s just for me though, I don’t know really as I failed to connect with the characters and I also didn’t felt their connection/attraction/chemistry to each other. I lost grasp of what the author was conveying in the story along the way. I also felt like it ended abruptly after having so much going on.
But it’s just me.
I think that you should give this book and this author the chance to read this because, if anything else, the whole idea of the plot was promising. I think that it actually has a beautiful story inside that you can see and explore for yourself.
*Edited to add: I will still read this author’s next book in a heartbeat because I believe that she has so much to offer.
I really enjoyed this book! The characters were interesting as was the storyline. It has been a long time since I have wanted to stay up to 2am to see what happens next. Great read! Can’t wait to read more from this author!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rapture – N.N. Britt
The most sincere thing I can say about Rapture is, I loved. I loved. Loved.
All people need to read this book.
I had only read one book about a rock idol before, and I loved. And now I read Rapture, and I loved. I don’t know if i have a little crush on books like this and didn’t knew, but I’m seriously considering reading all the books in this trope.
Hazel and Justice are unique. She is without a doubt one of the best female protagonists. I liked her from the start. Hazel is a sweetheart. And Justice will win you over. I was fearful at first. Afraid he would be one more jerk. How wrong I was. It didn’t take long for me to realize how awesome he is.
Nothing I write here will be enough. Just read.
Rapture is magnificent. It’s a touching reading. Get ready to be moved.
Thank you for generously providing me this ARC in exchange of a honest review.

Rapture – N.N. Britt
Eu estava receosa no começo.

Rapture is the debut novel for this author and I was completely blown away when I found that out. This book was amazing from the writing, to the characters, to the story line and I was completely hooked.
Hazel’s situation was heartbreaking. Seeing her falling apart and hiding from the world, I desperately wanted to find out what might help her deal with all of her pain from losing her son. Her emotions were made so real throughout the book and the author definitely took me on a roller coaster of emotions. When she meets Justice her world is turned even more upside down because she is suddenly thrust into the spotlight.
Being forced together, Justice and Hazel begin forming an unexpected friendship. The problem is both of them are broken and not really looking to be fixed.
From start to finish this book had me hooked. The only thing I wish is that the author would have spent more time expanding on the ending. I was not ready to let these characters go and would have loved more closure.
A must read book for sure! – By Alisa
