She is a grieving mother. He is a spoiled rock idol. The only thing they have in common is a flashy tabloid headline. Or so they think.

Born into a family of rock royalty, Justice lives his life fast and easy. When he comes across Hazel while at a local bar, his gallant attempt to get her home safely takes a complicated turn.
A PR nightmare forcing Justice and Hazel to spend time together triggers unexpected and intense feelings between the two.
With the constant attention of fans, haters, and press, now it’s up to Hazel and Justice whether they want to fight for their relationship or end it once and for all.

I began reading Rapture in March and sadly had to put it aside to meet a deadline. Today I was finally able to finish it. The story is so strong, so well written, that it stayed with me through my hiatus, and when I picked it up again it was as if I’d never put it down.
I’m a huge fan of the broken man trope. Broken woman is harder to pull off, IMO, but Britt nails it. Hazel makes real, human mistakes. Even if you don’t share her addiction or her grief, you can relate to her as a woman just trying to cope. Justice is the quintessential rock god with a sensitive side that somehow doesn’t make him come off as soft. Britt masters his POV chapters, and if I didn’t know better, I’d wonder if N.N. Britt was the pen for a male/female writing duo. But Britt is a she, a very talented she, whose experience as a Los Angeles-based music journalist and photographer gives Rapture an honest and authentic feel. Rapture is a fantastic debut, and N.N. Britt is an author to watch.
You guys, this is unlike any rockstar romance I have ever read! I’m not the biggest fan of rockstar romances, but the blurb intrigued me and I needed to read this one. This book is so realistic. The characters are so relatable and I loved watching them develop together and coming into their own in their two very different worlds. This is one powerful debut novel and I look forward to hearing Ms. Britt’s voice in more books. I’m so in love with these characters. Justice and Hazel will be with me for a long time to come!
This debut novel by NN Britt will captivate you from the very beginning and keep you enraptured right to the very end. Justice and Hazel’s story is one of tragedy, torment, addiction and an unwavering connection. This book will have your emotions bouncing back and forward. A angsty romance that will dig deep under your skin and have you wishing on all the rock gods for these two to make it. I yelled, screamed, smiled and cried as these two took the most eventful tour of life. If you like it dirty, steamy and scorching hot Rapture will not disappoint. This author has me hooked and I cannot wait to see what is next in store with this series. Be prepared as Justice and Hazel will claim a backstage all access pass to your heart.
This is my first 5 Star read of 2019! N.N. Britt has raised the bar in so many ways.
Rapture is a breath of fresh air in the oversaturated romance book market. Hazel is not your typical heroine. She is broken and has lost her way. Justice is bent, but not broken. In his world, he has seen and done everything. Yet he is trying to be a better man not only for himself but for his son.
The emotions flew off the pages. Sadness, love, brokenness, awkwardness, disillusionment, and hate will roll through you until it becomes second nature. This is not a perfect romance book with a nicely happily ever after. This is a book about two broken souls who meet under the unlikeliest circumstances and find the balm in each other to soothe their battered hearts.
This book amazes me that it the debut author of N.N. Britt. I am in awe of her talent and can’t wait to see what else she can in future releases.
I’m blown away by this novel. Britt has an incredible talent imagery and her characters are insatiable. I fell head over heels in love with Hazel and Cross – I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw my kindle. This book has steam, angst, heart, and passion that is truly amazing for a debut! Britt is a one click purchase for me from here on out!
An absolutely amazing and breathtaking debut! This story…this emotional, messy, heartbreaking, beautiful story left me speechless.
Hazel is so broken. She’s a mess with a tragic past, living a tragic life mired in grief.
Although she’s a complete train wreck, there’s still an underlying strength that breaks through on occasion which made her easy to empathize with, but not pity.
Justice is a cocky, arrogant, oversexed rock god with a complicated life.
They’re both in Tahoe trying to escape their current lives when they meet in a bar.
Their meeting is anything but sweet or romantic…more like disastrous and embarrassing. There’s certainly no love at first sight, and they only end up spending time together after their initial meeting due to awkward circumstances and a tabloid headline.
I was invested in their story right from the start, watching them evolve as individuals as well as a couple. There was nothing cliche about these characters. Hold on for some incredibly hot, but brutally emotional sex scenes! An intense and gripping book that was impossible to put down. N.N. Britt’s writing is effortless to read and I’m looking forward to more from her.
Dirty, heart-breaking and incredibly bewitching. I was enamoured from page one. This book made me feel too much. I feel raw and hungover.
Hazel has lost the most important person to her. Although it happend two years ago, the wound is still gaping open. She hasn’t even began the process of healing and that has left her without a husband. She has taken some time out and escaped to find herself again but it’s so difficult. She turns to alcohol. It’s the only thing that helps her cope and escape. While out to numb herself she meets Justice. He is an international rockstar who is also in the middle of a nasty divorce and custody battles. Hazel is far from Justice’s type. She is too pure and stubborn with a boatload of problems yet he gravitates to her. Their relationship between them is rocky. They both come from different worlds. Justice’s world is full of paparazzi, crazy fans and a crazy ex. Hazel doesn’t know if she is up for that. She is dealing with the loss of her child and she wants to so that in peace with lots of alcohol and the feeling Jutice evokes in her make it harder yet so euphoric.
This is the debut novel by N.N. Britt and it was executed flawlessly. She brought these two complex characters to life. This book deals with grief that leads to alcoholism. Grief that is so had to overcome. It is not swept aside or forgotten just because she is getting laid by a famous rockstar.
“Some days, Justice Cross reminds me of a panther, dangerously slick and gracious; but some other days, like today, he is a big fuzzy sensitive cat looking for some human affection and comfort.”
The sex was so f*cking hot. I’m usually not into this type of sex scenes but you can see why it’s needed. This book is not soft in any way. Justice is as dirty as they come. The mouth on this man….. so freaking hot. Although Hazel comes off as innocent and plain at first, she is quiet feisty and sheds her normal self when it comes to sex. They are both raging infernos looking for salvation in each other.

3.5 Cranky Stars
Hazel is no stranger to the ultimate loss a parent never wants to feel. Instead of getting the proper help she goes on a downward spiral. She gets wine drunk every night and her marriage is in the process of a divorce. While hiding away and drowning her sorrows at her friends Tahoe cabin is where she meets Justice. They embark on a whirlwind of a relationship with most of it playing out in the public eye which honestly makes her spiral harder. She needs to get help but the only way out is to go through it and boy it’s a sad ride.
Justice is a front man for a unique rock band who basically sings soft core pornography songs. He is in the process of a divorce from a very acclaimed and manipulative actress who is determined to ruin his name and keep his son away. While hiding out at his cabin he meets Hazel. He is drawn to her need for saving and just basically how generally messy she is. He falls quick but knows this relationship is doomed from the start. He wants to keep her but she needs to work on herself first.
Let me explain why I decided to give this book three and a half stars. It felt chaotic I couldn’t grip just one thing happening and trust me there is a lot happening. Maybe it was just my brain trying to make sense of such an epic loss, alcoholism, divorce, a Marilyn Manson type band, and a myriad of other issues. I mean mid-way we took a trip to major kinky town and that just felt so sudden and foreign when a book is tackling such serious issues. I think if maybe the book focused on Hazel and her loss and of course Justice and his life changes it would be an awesome story. I liked aspects of it, but I struggled. I’m not trying to deter anyone from reading this story maybe they will grasp all the elements and see that it is a good story.
Oh my I love this book love justice and hazel they have this chemistry that is amazing ..Hazel is grieving the lost of her son and going at her friend to house sit she end out at bar where she meet Justice and she has no clue who he his at first and the first meeting didn’t go has friendly at first , but the next morning Justiçe ask he to be hi alibi, to avoid his ex wife pressing assault charge … then all the press and then she get to find out who Justice is the famous singer … but will Justice be able to charm his way and his their chemistry be enough to make this relationship work …..I hope we get to read more of these characters
A great story with good characters. A definite page turner!!!
Justice and Hazel are both married to other people and going through a divorce. They meet in a bar where Hazel is drinking to take away the pain that she is living with not having her husband anymore but the fact is she can’t heal from loosing her son. Their relationship was hot and intense but kind and caring and has more passion. They both grew needing the other but when things got messy Hazel asked for a break that wasn’t easy for Justice to take but he did and it was radio silence for a bit. Till Hazel out of nowhere texted him and hope started for both of them.
Oh man. This book put my heart through the wringer. I felt so much for Hazel and what she was going through. Justice is just awesome for being who he is a putting up with some major issues with his ex. I am totally loving the start of this series.
I just finished reading this book and went straight into the second one finishing both books and loving both. I Couldn’t wait to write the reviews for these books. I’m going to read them again like old friends. I absolutely love this beautifully written book about two wonderful characters that you won’t forget.
Hazel is running from her life and past only to run into a Rockstar.. Justice has his own life problems, but circumstances bring them together. She agrees to help but throws herself into Rockstar status. This book is not your average rockstar story. To turns keep you wanting more. They find their way and their own love.
This is a rockstar romance with a twist. It’s not your typical “groupie chases rockster, rockstar falls in love”. Hazel is staying at her friends retreat, she is going through a divorce after losing her son to cancer. Justice is a rockstar with a small son, also going through a divorce. Events all start one night when Hazel gets very drunk and Justice ends up taking her to his house. The fallout from that night is huge, Hazel finds herself embroiled in a papparazi frenzie, with not only Justice’s ex-wife but her ex-husband magnifing joining in the frey. It’s quite hard to follow the timeline here, you get the impression of events happening over days and weeks, then you findout its months, however it is a good read.
3.5… I loved the detail in the characters and the debt of information provided within the story… it really allowed you to picture the characters and towns with full detail.
the storyline lost me a bot out 40-60% of the day in when the storyline started to drag a bit and the sex scenes were so diff than the characters personalities it really threw me for a loop.
nonetheless, sweet and sad story with a HEA. overall I enjoyed it and it’s worth the read!
his book breaks your heart into tiny emotional pieces when reading the story of Hazel and Justice.
Two damaged and different characters whose broken pieces take time to fit together.
The author does a great job with putting your and the characters hearts back together. Allowing them to help themselves and each other. Fantastic dual POV. This is not your typical rocker romance.
I am volunteering to leave a review for this book
This book was so amazing. I couldn’t put it down

I have had this book on my wish list for a long time and when I was given the opportunity to read it, you can bet I took the chance without hesitation and boy oh boy was I not left disappointed. This is my first book by this author but it definitely will not be my last. Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. I loved reading every single minute of this book. The main characters are hard not to love. Fantastic book and highly recommended.
