This is #4 in the IN DEATH series and begins with Eve and Roarke returning from their honeymoon. That’s one thing that bothered me, namely, we didn’t get to see that BIG MOMENT, the wedding, at the start of this book or the end of the last one. I truly wanted to see that big event for two of my all-time favorite characters. As for the actual crime in this book, it’s not as grisly as in the earlier stories, but just as compelling as Eve has to delve into the world of virtual reality. As always, an entertaining story although it is not as face-paced as earlier books in the series. Still a must-read in my book.
I would re-read all of the books in this series but I especially love this one because it shows us Dallas more outside of her element than normal. If you have not read a J.D. Robb “In Death” book then I suggest you start at the beginning, this is the 4th or 5th in the series. As always with J.D. Robb(aka Nora Roberts) you get a great mystery, some great romance and with these books some great laughs because Eve is a woman who is totally clueless on the “Woman Rules” and how a woman works. Add it her husband “The handsomest man in the universe” who is a fashion hound and there are some priceless lines. The cast of characters is great and the depth we are taken into these characters lives really makes you feel like a part of the story. Enjoy!!!
Every book in the Eve and Roarke series is worth reading more than once.
Again, JD Robb hits it out of the park with Eve, Roarke and the rest of the team. The plot was interesting and timely, and the characters continue to evolve.
Throughly enjoyed the whole series-read all of them. Loved the characters. Didn’t find one book that I didn’t enjoy.
I like all the In Death series. I enjoy the character development over time and each book has it’s own plot
Haven’t read an “In Death” series book that I didn’t love. The recurring main characters feel like old friends.
Read ALLof JD Robb!!
I love J D Robb books.
I Love JD Robb books. Eve Dallas is my alter ego.
Eve Dallas is one of the greatest finctional people ever created! She, her love Roarke, and all those in her “world” are wonderful. Always in the background is the love of a lifetime story between she and Roarke, But it is the drive and the heart of Eve Dallas that will keep you coming back. Oh, and the humor that is ever present.
Eve Dallas does not disappoint!
Love the series
I love the In Death series!
Loved it
Characters developed more, story got more interesting. I like how Eve is trying not the fall so hard for this new live style and keep up with her job.
more sex and violence than I care for but a plot that sucks you in.
As always, NR delivers
have never read a bad book written by her
All the books in this series are excellent. We’ll worth reading and really original. Have 39 of them so far.
