The Culling, the genocide of humanity.
It almost ended us.
It still might.
Six years ago, the dark elves murdered most of humanity. Thanks to the sacrifice of Elizabeth “Gunz” Chambers, some few survived, safe behind walled shelters. For now.

Driven to rage by the evil of the dark elves, he and his team of rangers hunt them in the wilderness of northern Canada. No weapon is forbidden, no method too severe. But Alex has stared too long into the abyss and vengeance comes at a cost.
A cost that others may have to pay.
When a new gateway opens between worlds, Alex joins a desperate expedition to the dark elves’ home world. Their mission: to forge an alliance between dwarves and humanity. Only together can both races stand a chance against the might of the dark elves and their wicked queen Tuatha de Talinor.
If they fail, it won’t just be the end of the Dark-Elf War.
It’ll be the end of all human life.
You’ll love this final book in the epic urban fantasy/military sci-fi Dark Elf War trilogy by former Army officer William Stacey because of his breathless pacing, believable characters, and non-stop action.

This is a fantastic, entertaining story. I don’t read a lot of fantasy stories, but this one is the best I’ve ever read. It grabs you from page one and gets better as you go. I was completely captivated by the storyline and the characters. I highly recommend this book and this author.
I recieved a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
The third and perhaps the best in the series, this is fast-paced and wonderful with awesome characters throughout the series. This book has it all! I highly recommend this whole series.

A GREAT ENDING!!
William Stacey outdid himself with this third book “Ranger” in the trilogy “ The Dark Elf War “ This trilogy is a very dramatic dark fantasy. You have to read Mr Stacey’s books very carefully because there is so much going on in so many fronts. Ranger was the best of all three but not by much. There is never ending action, thrills and spills galore! He keeps you riveted to the page. The dark elves continue to try and take over but every front they go to they are blocked by Alex Bonoit and his team! Great realistic battles with futuristic weapons and any monster you could think of keeps you reading. Important lessons are learned, especially by Alex Bonoit. You’ll have to read this book plus the other two and decide for yourself. Me, I loved it.
This third book in the Dark Elf Wars was loaded with super special tech gadgets for military and survival uses. It was what I would call an epic war and action packed story about surviving by whatever means possible without destroying the new world destination. The author puts the characters through not only physical pain, but even moreso through mental and psychological pain, whether through physical torture or through their own guilt manifested in their dreams. It was also a moving story about the love people have for each other and what they would willingly go through for it to survive and flourish. The battle scenes were vividly described, but not all ghouly and grisly like many other books. It is often difficult to distinguish who the “good guys” are and who the “bad guys” are. This is a rather late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
Fans of Jerry Pournelle or David Weber or David Drake, you need to read this series (not that I’ve read books 1 and 2 in this series yet). The action is fast-paced and realistic, the conflict between technology and magic intriguing, but it is the personal element that really grabbed my attention. The interaction between PTSD, rage, revenge and redemption is enthralling and speaks to anyone who has any idea how psychologically damaging war and peace can be and the kinds of moral dilemmas that every warrior has to face. Now, where did I put books 1 and 2?

This conclusion to the Trilogy started in Starlight and Gunz was a wonderful read. The great story continued to a solid conclusion, characters continued to evolve and grow and healed. Non-stop action and intrigue to keep you up reading all night. It kept me reading long after I should have been sleeping.
I was pleased to be able to read an ARC and this review is my own opinion. I look forward to buying the book.
Third part of the Dark Elf trilogy and can be read alone, but better with the first two. There’s lots of action, but I felt it was just too convenient a solution at times when the characters were in trouble. Still a decent story to read. The aliens were unusual and interesting.

I started this series with Gunz, the second book. I waited patiently for Ranger to be published. William Stacey did not disappoint me with the final installment to the series.
He has created a colorful and believable worlds with multidimensional characters. It is hard not to identify with the main characters as they try to understand and cope with the seemingly overnight changes that have occurred. His action scenes are well thought out and executed.
It is really hard to say goodbye to characters and worlds I have grown fond of. Hopefully there might be a follow up story.
I received this book free as an advanced copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I received an invite for an ARC from the author and decided to read the book even though I had not read the first two books in the trilogy. I wasn’t sure that I would like the book but I ended up loving it and was able to follow the story with no issues. I strongly recommend this book, it was nonstop action, and now I need to read books 1 & 2.

The third in the series and as good as the first two. Never a dull moment as the humans and friends right for their lives and the lives of everyone back on earth. I do not want to give anything away so I will just say again, read this book.
This was such a fun book/series to read. Well written, a premise I’d not heard before, and full of twists and turns that kept the pace moving quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would read more about these characters anytime.

Just wow! This is such a powerful final episode to this trilogy. Each book seems to be better than the previous one, more complex and involved, with excellent world and character building. The only disappointment being that this is the end of the trilogy. This one had me gripped from start to finish.
